The Demon Slayers vs. the Demons

She put her arms around his waist and both started to levitate. They glided gently over the banister and landed on the floor below.

"I can carry one other person. No more though, I'm not strong enough yet. My powers are apparently stronger. Kartan said something about a Cloudroth and a big battle."

 

"Cloudroth is a demon I created by accident. He stole from me a powerful necklace that contains the souls of all the demons I've killed. He is now virtually unstoppable. He is the ultimate demon, he is Ultimus."

 

"So that is why my powers were increased. I'll explain what I can. For generations my family have had this pendant. If the correct chant is used it opens a portal into a pocket dimension. Kartan lives there. He is an ancient demon that has been linked to our family. He can increase powers and even add them. The cost is always high. Mine is my memory and part of my humanity."

Ceri handed him the pendant.

 

"I don't need this." he said, handing it back. "I prefer to use my own strength."

 

"I was only showing you. You can't use it anyway unless I taught you the chant. Anyway, didn't you just say you had a necklace?"

 

"But I only used it when I had no other choice."

 

"I must have had a reason to use it. Pity I can't remember. I wish I remembered something. You'll have to give me some reminders."

 

"I'm sorry but I can't help you there, you didn't tell me anything about it until now."

 

"Ok, so we kissed but we obviously weren't that close. Did we date?"

Ceri laughed. "This is so uncomfortable. It's like I've stepped into someone else's life."

"Ouch! Sorry. I won't do it again. I promise."

Ceri closed her eyes. "I can sense others have been here. I can also sense that I have traces of demon in my mind from the past. Can you shed any light on this?"

 

"Does the name Darkeon ring a bell?"

 

"Yes, though I feel nothing anger wise. Was he helping me?"

Ceri shook her head. "I need some air."

 

"Sure, go take a breather."

 

Ceri walked out of the door and then used her new power to levitate to the roof. What was going on with this guy and her? She felt confused as hell. She decided that the best thing was to keep her distance.

 

He went outside and jumped on to the roof, sitting next to her.

 

'Oh great, he can follow me' she thought to herself. She got up and began walking over the roof. 'Is he going to follow me around like a lost puppy or something?'

She ran and threw herself off the roof, stopping just out of sight.

 

He could tell she was trying to get away from him. Did he screw up again? He didn't know. He decided to just leave her alone for now.

 

Ceri was trying to take it all in, Nothing made any sense. She was being followed by Mr Confusing. Did he love her or not? She decided to go back to him and apologise.
