The Demon Slayers vs. the Demons

"But I do have feelings for you! I care about you a whole lot!"

 

"Is that why you're crying? It's ok. I'll keep back out of the way. I'm not going to mess with your head or anything. The others don't know and they don't need to."

Ceri smiled at him.

"I'll sort the paralysis before I go. Cloudroth has messed with your nerves. Can I go in and sort them out for you?"

 

"Yes you can. Why are you leaving?"

 

"Leaving the room doughnut! You need to rest."

Ceri entered his mind and repaired the damage to allow him complete movement again. As soon as she'd finished she left his mind and checked he was ok.

"Well. I'll be off then."

 

"Oh." he said, feeling stupid. "Bye."

 

'Well that was his last chance' she thought to herself.

She wandered down to the main living area and sat on the sofa. Taking a small book out of her pocket she began to read it.

 

He sighed to himself. "I should do something besides just lay here doing nothing." he said, getting up. He was still in great pain, but he could handle it.

 

As she read the book tears ran down her cheeks. The cover was battered and well thumbed. She thought she heard someone coming so she stuffed the book back in it's hiding place and wiped her eyes. She was Ceri the demon slayer and didn't act so soft. There again even the demon slayer bit wasn't totally true.

 

He went looking for her and saw her wiping her eyes. He kneeled down next to her and gave her a hug.

 

"Why are you hugging me? I'm fine. I have a past as well, and I was just revisiting old memories."

Ceri felt awkward.

"Want some coffee or tea?"

 

"I'm fine." he said, still hugging her.

 

'What is it with this guy? First he almost pushes me away, now he's like a limpet. I'll never understand men.'

Ceri gently extracted herself from the hug and wandered into the kitchen. He was still having difficulty getting around so hopefully he'd give up and go back to resting.

 

"heh what was that just alittle fun heh im not going anywhere your coming with me back to the others wether you like it or not"
*attacks her and knocks her down to the ground*

I screwed it all up. he thought. Now it's too late. She's already given up on me. Tears formed in his eyes. Why did this have to happen to me. I've finally fallen in love with someone else, and now I'm too late.

 

Ceri wandered back in with biscuits and a coffee. She saw Kyle had tears in his eyes again. She put down what she was carrying and went over to him.

"What is upsetting you? Please tell me so I can help."

 

"I screwed up." he said.

 

"So Cloudroth has the necklace. We'll get it back somehow. In the meantime we will protect you. It's ok."

 

"I'm not talking about that."

 

"Then what? Come on Kyle. You'll feel better if you talk about it."

 

"Being with you. I waited too long and now it's too late."
