The Demon Slayers vs. the Demons

Ceri shrugged and smiled. "No matter. I'll leave you to tend to Natalie. I'm going for a nap." She wandered into his room and climbed into bed. She was soon sleeping.

 

He smiled and put Natalie on her bed, tucking her in.

 

Ceri began to dream. She was with Kyle and the wars were over. Then she realised that something was wrong. She was wrong. There was something missing.

 

He went to his room and sat in a chair, watching Ceri. She was so beautiful.

 

She started to mutter in her sleep getting louder until she screamed "No". She then sat up suddenly awake and started to cry. She understood what the dream meant at last.

 

"Don't worry." he said, trying to comfort her, "It was just a dream."

 

"I've had it before, but now it makes sense. The war is over and we are here, but I'm not really here, I'm a ghost. Don't you see I die in this war."

 

His face lost all color. "No, that can't be. I won't let it. I won't let you die." he said, tears appearing in his eyes.

 

"I keep getting the dream, like an omen. You seem sad in it. At first I didn't understand. Oh Kyle, I want to be with you." Ceri hugged him tight, not wanting to let go.

 

"I want to be with you too." he said, holding her and crying.

 

"Why would this happen? We are happy now. I don't want to see you so sad. What can I do?"

 

"The only things I can think of are to not fight, or let me protect you."

 

"But I have to fight. It's what I do. Maybe if I fight by your side?" Ceri began to cry. "Hold me."

 

He held her close in his arms.

 

walked into natalies room to find her asleep so he pulled up a chair and sat down by her

 

Ceri looked into his eyes. "Somehow we will best it. I don't know how but we will. I have a good feeling about this."

 

"So do I." he said. He leaned in and kissed her.

 

She kissed him back, closing her eyes. Ceri felt safe here with him. Kyle was the constant in all her dreams. Whatever was wrong, he stood by her.

"What will we do when all this is over?"

 

Kyle let go of her and got on one knee.

 

"Kyle what are you doing?" Ceri watched him in confusion. Had she said something wrong?
