The Demon Slayers vs. the Demons

Ceri held his hand as they walked down to the newly repaired sparring room.

"Do you want to fight against me or shall we work together?"

She smiled and kissed him on the cheek.

 

He smiled and said "Either one is fine with me. Which do you want?"

 

"I think it would be best if we spar against each other. I can make sure that you are ok then. I will stop if you tell me to."

Ceri tuned into his mind.

 

"Sound's like a plan." he said, smiling.

 

"Well time to stop talking and start fighting."

Ceri drew her axes and rushed at Kyle, sending a psychic wall ahead of her. She made sure it was not as powerful as usual.

 

Kyle drew his sword, ready to block.

 

"I'm sorry about the psychic wall. It must have hurt. I'll just use weapons, no mind powers, ok?"

 

Rubbing his head, he said "Okay, and I won't use any of my necklace powers."

 

"Are you sure you are ok?"

Ceri shrugged and ran at him, slashing with the axes. She pulled back a little on the attacks just in case he was unwell.

 

He blocked the attacks and swung at her. "I just meant the absorbed demon powers, I'll still have my strength."

 

"You need to be more aggressive."

Ceri charged at him using her strength and weight to knock him off balance. She wanted to show him that she could protect him.

 

He lost his balance and fell on his back. He rolled backwards and leaped towards her.

 

Ceri swung her axes to block between him and cut into him. "Nice moves babe!"
She grabbed his arm and threw him off balance against the wall.

 

"Thanks." he said, pushing himself off the wall, "You too!" He slid, trying to trip her.

 

She fell on top of him. "Very funny." She rolled off him and leapt to her feet.
"No more soft attacks." Ceri sliced at him with both axes.

 

"Right!" he said, dodging. One of the axes cut his arm.

 

Ceri panicked as she saw the wound. "I'm sorry. I never meant to hurt you."

Tears formed in her eyes.

"I can't fight you any more. I might injure you badly."

 

"Shh, don't cry Ceri." he said, dropping his sword and putting his hand on her cheek. "It's just a cut, nothing to worry about."

 

"I'm sorry. I can't hurt you. I just can't!"

Ceri hugged him, her axes falling to the floor.

 

"It's okay." he said, trying to comfort her.
