I have just seen it and intend to read the book soon.
I think it is quiet possible that mary magdilan did have a daughter with jesus.
Who can prove it otherwise. The gospels that were put into the bible were decided by people who thought they had the best interests of people by trying to keep the religion alive. There were, i think 103 different gospels in total but only the 4 that the clergymen at the time decided got in to the bible, the 4 that mimic each other and reinforce people believe and jesus' divinity. The De Vinci Code makes more sense than i thought it would be.
I read about protests about the movie by clergymen and religious believers who thought that it was like the boogy man; there to give fear to the people and to shake them with fictional, mistruth.

I want to know others comments because this seems to be very contraversial and we seem to lack debates.

I think it could be true, and it would make more sense to me then what the bible says....I mean, who doesn't wanna get married in some sort of way? I think if there was someone who was a descendent of Jesus Christ, then it would be better for them to stay hidden, because their life would be in constant danger. There are a lot of zealots out there that would kill them to keep their beliefs.

But if they moved into the spot light what can the zealots do?There beliefs are already shattered. It they killed the desendants of jesus christ they would incurr the wrath of alot of christians.Even if the beliefs of the bible are shattered that doesn't mean people will cease to believe in god.The zealots would make a bad move by killing the desendants.

But then also, if you shattered the beliefs of almost every christian in the world, what wouldn't they do once the thing they believed in turned out to be wrong?

I believe that this is highly possible, but there is no evidence for it. Back then...due to circumstances...children were popping up more and more often, therefor, Jesus could've had many children, but like I said, there is no evidence to support it.

I believe it's possible but it seems like it speaks for itself.

The movie sucked because it cut out a large amount of the puzzles and storyline.

Books never really live up to the books.

I've just done research and a king who claimed that he was apart of the Merovingian dynasty was assassinated in the 7th century. The Merovingian dynasty was the dynasty of jesus and mary.

Well thats your opinion and i have mine.I think that this is a great possibility.I've also just seen a documentary that proves that jesus was seen in the himilayas in 70AD.A real person, how ever old they are.A teacher of both hinduism and buddism. This could be more proof of the falsification of the bible.

So basically your a christian extrmeist then Sorcerer.

It is niave to believe that all conspiracy theories are a load because if you believe that the world is always open to you then the world will crush you.Sure some are a load like the moon landing conspiracy. What would the government gain by publicising a false event even though that publicising costs the government millions?

I suppose anything is possible, seeing as how i'm not affiliated with a set religion. However, this is a fictional book based on snippits of historic events. Therefore, I can't say that I believe it's plausible or false.

The book/movie are works of fiction, which the author purely declares so. Is it possible that Jesus could have had an offspring? Yeah, sure. Anything is possible. However, there's no real way to know such a thing and in the end, people entirely overreacted to the book. It was a decent book. I won't say it was the greatest thing, but I enjoyed it. It is annoying though that so many people take it so seriously when the author even depicts it as fiction, despite the fact he did quite a lot of research and some of what was said was indeed true.

The Book was based off an earlier book called "Angels & Demons" where it is a factual exploration of the conspiracy where the do research into the subject. This book also used quotes from "Holy Blood,Holy Grail" which is also a factual based book which was slated, slagged and slurred by the church. What people forget is that the bible that people have faith on was actually created in 591AD in rome where they cast any gospels that made jesus look any bit undivine. They wanted to make sure that the faith in jesus was unwavering but now it is because people are find more and more evidence to suggest this conspiracy like the various different gospels that are being uncovered like the gospel of Mary Magdilen.

...Da Vinci Code is not BASED on A&D, that would be like saying that Shawshank Redemption is based on 1408. If memory serves, Da Vinci Code may have commented once or twice on A&D but they aren't the same. Just saying.

Ya i know but he used certain aspects of Angels & Demons in De vinci Code.
Your entitled to your opinion. We might have a facist government on KHV but free speech is still allowed lol.

....i do see where you are saying there are certain aspects....but i personally feel that that is attributed to the writing style.

And about your statement that movies never live up to the books...that's marginalizing. Da Vinci was fairly accurate to the book, No Country for Old Men is scene for scene and word for word from the book.

We have a facist government here on KHV? That's news to me. xD

Anyway, I thought the movie was fine and did the book justice. Movies have to portray things differently sometimes because what we can write works differently on paper than what can be presented on the big screen. In the end though, the book to me was just meant to be entertainment and spin a good mystery. It's a shame it has managed to be taken so seriously and cause such stupid fights.
