No Thanks The Darkdays Post icons

[highlight]I find the little icons that appear to the left of a thread, that state whether it is a hot topic, closed, posted in, etc. are rather lacking, to the point where I haven't been using the Darkdays skin because of it.

The main problem, is that the "hot topic" icon doesn't overlap with any other icons. So I cannot see if I've posted in a hot topic, or whether there are new replies in a hot topic.

Another, minor problem is that they aren't as large as the Funky icons, but there's probably no real fix for that.[/highlight]

 

It's because NOBODY uses the skin anymore.

I mean it.

People are always using either the newer ones or what.

 

I'm pretty sure the majority of the site is using it right now. It IS the newest skin.

But yeah, I agree. It's hard to tell them apart

 

I'm gonna be honest. I sometimes have trouble telling the icons apart. I don't really look for hot topic icons but sometimes I don't realise a thread is locked due to the tiny padlock added to the icon. It's kinda slowed down my posting speed as I have to look at the icons for about a second. It'd be easier for people to post quicker if they where bigger or more visible but I'm not someone who knows how the skins and stuff work properly.

 

Really all you'd have to do would be to reupload new icons to the server that have the same names as the current ones, and then just overwrite.

Honestly, it doesn't bother me very much. I can understand how it'd be an annoyance though, and if the ones from the Funky skin have transparent background this could take just a few minutes to do and we could just recycle those; if not, I could always cut them out, that's very easy to do.

They are transparent.

Ohgod, yes please. I would probably use DarkDays if the icons were better. I only don't use it so I can see invisitext and so I can see what threads I'm posting in. Reusing Funky's icons would be a great, wonderful fix.

 

I believe that when I was first putting together the images for the Dark Days skin and it looks like I still have some of the cutouts. I'm not sure which I'm missing, but these are the ones I have right now:

 

Then we still need the ones that are tilted to show that you've posted in a thread.
