The question is...great movie or greatest movie. It looks pretty good, but I think that Brad Pitt is falling in his acting skills. He was at his peak a few years back, but this doesn't looks too bad. I'll go see the movie for the heck of it.

I'm seeing it Saturday, methinks. I heard it's incredibly good but unnecessarily long. It's like over 2 and half hours. ><

Actually Guys, it's almost exactly 3 hours long.. I went to see it New Years Eve night, and I believe, it was a great movie. Me and my cousin even cried in during the movie, because it was so moving and it just reached out to the crowd. <3

I recommend this movie to anyone

    Oh god yes.

Im glad I went to see this in America, because its not out here yet >8D

Its awesome. Its true that it drags on a little bit (I got cramp halfway xDD) but its such a great movie I don't think you could possibly regret it. The storyline is very original, a little confusing at times with a few plot holes but it was incredibly moving and I cried about three times xD It was amazing how they transformed Brad Pitt O__O and I thought his acting was pretty good, Renegade.

    The characters were awesome :3

And one time it made me jump so much I almost spilled my popcorn everywhere xD (and I got confused when the woman put butter on the popcorn, I was like wtf O__o)

    xD

LMAO! Yes, we get butter put on our popcorn xDDD
    I only cried
at the end, where Daisy was raising him, younger and when he was a toddler, I started bawling my eyes out, then when she said, for that instant, he knew who she was then he closed his eyes... I couldn't stop crying, and..omg, i felt so bad that he couldn't live life the way everyone else did. I felt bad that he couldn't raise his daughter ="(

    EDIT:
And for those wanting to watch the movie online, click here<3

But! idk if it'll be any good lol

    I cried there xD

    Oh, and I cried when
the sea captain died, mainly for the fact that Benjamin went "dont worry sir, theres plenty of bars in heaven" because he was an alcoholic and for some reason that set me off O__O xD

Yes i can say it was easily the best movie of 2008 hands down. David Filcher is a genius, the acting by Brad Pitt was just superb.

And to be honest yeah i too was crying when that scene you posted in your spoiler box came around.

I highly recommend this film to everyone.

umm, hate to be the cynical one here...but the whole storyline creeped me out, and Brad Pitt, well, he didn't seem to be very good in this movie for reasons unknown to me....I just got very creeped out, had to leave the theater........Not that it wasn't original. I just didn't like it.

If you have the stamina for a 3 hour movie, and like a story that hasn't been told really before, then this movie is for you. It's unique. I'll be the first to admit that i'm not that big of a fan of Brad Pitt, but I felt like this was one of his best performances.

I just saw it and it felt like they dragged it out for WAY too long. It was sweet, but the story just felt too slow.

That was my main gripe about the movie. It went on for way too long and there were sections, all though important to the story, felt flat and dull / expected.

Lol, i feel bad for all those who went to watch 'Titanic' in the movies, 4 hour long movie xD

but before i get off topic, i hadn't ever heard of the movie, until my cousin wanted to see it right as we got to the movie theater, and to me, if felt a pretty decent length, because it was his 'diary' that mainly kept the story going.

The director also director Forrest Gump i believe :3

In through its a 2 hour and 46 minute movie I found it very enjoyable. Except for an old lady in my movie theater sounding like she was dying.
    My Favorite Part was-
When he was 7 years old(at the end not the beginning) and he told the old ladies to F off.

OMG, I watched that last night. And cried like the sissy I am. xD
    Ok, I think I'm going to rent this movie, so that I don't have to watch it all at once if I don't want to. Either way, I want to see it soon. ;;

That's the problem with movies that are based surrounding a diary. There is no good place to cut scenes that are overly important to the story.

Upon hearing that the director was from Forrest Gump, I can see it. It's a journey story and has a very strong feel of Forrest Gump to it.
