The Cold Hearts

Santeria saw another person.
"Hello," she said backing away a few steps.

 

"Hi my name's Scotty, what's yours?" he asked, smiling.

 

"Santeria," she said then jumped up no the branch of the tree she stood under. She lay on the thich branch and looked down at the two. She giggled.

 

"Is something funny?" he asked, still smiling.

 

"No. I'm just having some fun," she said smiling, then she stood up and started jumping up on more branches.

 

He climbed the tree after her. "Wait for me!" he said.

 

She giggled and waited for him on a high branch.

 

He climbed up and sat next to her.

 

She giggled.
"So what are you doing here in the forest?" she asked.

 

"I was just going for a walk, you?" he asked.

 

She looked down to the ground, then back at him.
"I ran away," she said then stood up. She began climbing once more.

 

He followed her and asked "Why?"

 

"Because everyone in my village hates me," she said. She grabbed a branch and pulled herself up It was about to break. She got up, and stood on it. It then broke and she fell off.

 

He caught her in his arms. "I don't hate you." he said.

 

She looked confused.
"Do you live in my village?" she asked.

 

"I don't think so. I've never seen you before." he said, setting her down.

 

"I'm glad.. And thanks for catching me," she said smiling.

 

"No problem!" he said, smiling.

 

She blushed and smiled, revealing her fangs.

 

"Wow are you a vampire or something?" he asked, full of awe.
