I'm just putting both in one thread for the sake of convenience (yours and mine). Discuss these two awesome shows here. My favorite Jon Stewart episode to date was the one about Conservatism and Libertarianism. He broke down the words and insulted both Glenn Beck AND Sesame Street in that episode... that made him a legend to me.

Well it's never that hard to insult Conservatives (oh no, I didn't)

I love these shows. I stumbled upon the Daily Show when i went to college last year. I didn't even notice I was on comedy central and thought it was a legit news show at first. I couldn't believe what was going on until I realized what channel I was on. We even had a discussion about him in my first English course.

I prefer the Colbert Report. My favorite part of it is always "The Word" with my favorite Word being the time it was religion.

My favorite thing about these shows though is that they make me look up news.
After seeing what they talk about, I'm inspired to actually go look up actual news stories.

I actually had two friends go and see the Daily Show last January live, which was cool. I personally prefer Colbert over Stewart, but I'll watch both. I even have Colbert's "I Am America, and So Can You!" book.

I enjoy both, but I like the Daily Show better. Colbert gets repetitive to me after a while. And I guess Jon Stewart's kind of humour appeals more to me, but I'm not quite sure why. :/

That one was one of his best. I love his Fallback Position that he's been doing lately. And last night's lasik surgery on Jay the Intern was one of the best things i've seen in a month on either show.

Well he can be funnier than Colbert at times but mostly Colbert is better. The best part of his show to me is when a corespondent (preferrably either Aasif Mandi or John Oliver) comes on. The one when John Oliver was in a pink shirt and had a sweater tied around his neck, man that made me think of him as a TRUE man... whether or not he's British really doesn't matter. Also his Pre World Cup coverage on the USA vs. England match was him at his best imo.

I think they share some of the same correspondents, because I saw an episode of the Daily Show where John Oliver was in South Africa mocking the US team before the US vs England match as well.

Meh. Jon Stewart makes me chuckle more for whatever reason.

The Colbert Report is one of the best shows of all time! My favorite episode is every episode that comes on.

Heh, yeah sorry. Had a little typo. That US vs England pre match coverage WAS from The Daily Show... my bad. And last night's episode made me laugh so much.
"Everybody has to go and blame BP."
"But we're not talking about the oil spill right now."
    "Black People Jon."
 Also the Samuel L. Jackson scale of anger made me rotflmao.
"I mean who would not get mad about motherf---ing snakes... on a motherf---ing plane?"
