The City of Ember

I read the book a while ago, as well as the sequel The People of Sparks, and I expect this movie to be good. From the trailer, it looks like they got a lot of things right. Except for the ages of the main characters, Lina and Doon. They're suppose to be about 12, I think.
Has anyone else read the series?

 

I loved that book and its sequel. It used to be my favorite. I think it's awesome that they're making a movie about this; it's about time.

I agree, it does look like they got a lot correct, at least from what we see from the trailer. The ages of the actors bothers me as well, but hey, it can't be perfect. I'm looking forward to this.

 

Yeah, the actor who plays Doon is like 24.

Ok, so I finally found the exact release date of the movie. October 10th of this year.

 

You should read the book. It's very good; and so is it's sequel.

I just heard about this recently.

I thought the book and its sequel were both great. And the trailer looks good, so I'll probably try to see it when it's in theaters.
