"G..Gone? Hmm. I'll ask Leon and the others where he went for you. You look really busy" She took a small silver purse out of her pocket. "Hey, could I have a Sea Salt Ice cream?" she said, and placed some Munny on the counter.

 

OOC: Have I mentioned that I really like your first sig image? ^^

Naminé blinked, then nodded her head, the blonde locks of her bangs falling to splay across her eyes for a moment. She accepted the munny, putting it into the register before reaching down to get another Sea-salt ice cream. As she held it out to the other girl, she managed a smile. "These are pretty popular you know. Mr. McDuck keeps an entire freezer full of these here behind the counter. I wonder what he'll come up with when the weather turns cold. I heard he might make some sea-salt flavored hot tea.." Suddenly, she recalled that Gregory had asked to be shown around town, and she tilted her head to the side. "Marina, there was a new person who wanted to be shown around town. He just left the shop not too long ago. His name was Gregory and he's got light brown hair (I think it was..) and he's wearing tan-colored clothing. Would you be able to help him?"

 

OOC: Well the only reason for my character is that I am kinda bored with the old organization... I mean i dont mean to copy, but I'm gonna have him enter the organization and then he will leave soon with details i do not yet know. Is that alright? (i'm not trying to be rude :o )
Also, I'm copying you with the different color thing for out of character... WHen i thought about it, I thought it was a smart idea
Oh yeah and i also forget the color of my hair. Lets call it light brown anyway

BIC: Rexyggor found the number in the phone book. He called... *Bing bing bing! Hello, this is The Radiant Garden restoration committee. We are sorry but we are not in right now. Please leave a message and we will get back to you as soon as we can. ^BEEP^*
Rexyggor hung up considering if he left a message it wouldn't do much good because he was calling from a phone booth and they would be able to call back, but by then Rexyggor figured that he would already be long gone and maybe even found the place.


you know what i love about role playing? You can be someone taht you totally arent. For example, my character can just go up to the personat the counter of a random ice creap shop and say "Hi, how you doin'?" but in the real world, i cant even say hi to my classmate who is walking across the street

 

"Thanks!" Marina said cheerfully as she took the ice cream from Namine's hand. "Sea Salt hot Tea? Okay... I don't think that would sell half as good." She giggled.
" Hmm. I think I saw that kid you asked about over by the phone booth. Sure, I'd be glad to help. Well, see ya later!" Marina chirped, and went to look for this "Gregory".
Luckily, she saw him right as he was leaving the phone.
"Uh... are you Gregory?" She asked, although she was sure it was him.

OOC: Were you talking about my sig, Namine? If so, thanks. =3 And, I'm going to post the link to the picture of Marina in a few minutes.
You know, Rexyggor? That's what I love about Role Playing and story writing, too. The characters that you are in the story might be the exact opposite of what you are in real life. Like, Marina is based off of me, but I'm not nearly as nice as she is, though I act about the same around friends as she does.

 

"Yes! I am..." Rexyggor held out his hand. After they had shook, he put his hand in his back pocket to find that his school I.D. had been gone along with his wallet. He felt around his pants (not the [stupid] immature way you are all thinking, no ofense to anyone if you're not).
"Um... I was going to ask if you saw this person on the card i was going to show you, but apparently it became lost. great. Well, nevermind." He said.
He didnt know what to think at the time with the girl standing there. He had only met Namine at the counter in the ice cream shop.
"What's your name?"

OOC: Yeah, I was really pisssed off at the time with one of my actions in which i had to tell somebody. You guys are cool enough to know.

 

Naminé was left behind, still having to keep the ice-cream shop running while Mr. McDuck was busy and the day's employee was out. Truthfully, she didn't mind it. The job wasn't a hard one, and it was admittedly relaxing to watch people come and go as they pleased. She especially liked watching the famlies that were regulars to this place.

Since she had no memories of a childhood, she could only observe and store away these memories. It was similar to data-gathering. ..perhaps she'd been around certain members of the Organization for too long.. A lock of strayed blonde hair was captured between thumb and forefinger and toyed with, as she leaned forward against the counter while loosing herself in her musings.

OOC: Hey Rexyggor, why don't you PM me your idea and I'll see if I can help you work out the details of what you want for your character. And it's okay if you guys use the color thing. XD I don't mind, I think it works out pretty well.

Ooh, I like Marina's outfit. I should probably put up what Namine looks like in her current outfit.. x_o *lazy*

 

Lilly had finished her ice cream. She Stuck Mp3 player ear phones in her ears, and turned on a song called "Harder Better Faster stronger". The chewed on the end of the Ice cream stick. She thought a second. It was hard to concetrate on her own thoughts when Music, and all these other thoughts kept entering her mind. That was the bad thing about being able to read minds. You could never get a moment of silence.
But she made this into her strength. She was able to block out all noise except the one she was focusing on. She focused on the blonde girl's thoughts.
Someone had left her. The name Merlin Entered her mind.
Lilly reached into her pocket for a peice of paper, and a tiny broken crayon.
She walked over to the girl at the counter, and wrote on the tiny peice of paper, "When does your shift end?"

 

Naminé's pale blue eyes were focused on the girl that had come in for an ice-cream earlier. Ah! That was so strange, since she'd been thinking of trying to find out who the girl was after her shift was over. It was also a good thing she was able to write, or else a conversation between them would have been very hard.

"Not for a while.. The shop closes just after sunset." Looking to the windows, the sun was still up high in the sky and it was only late afternoon.

 

"My name's Marina, Nice to meet you." She knew that she'd be pretty confused if someone she didn't know knew her name, so she explained, "My friend Namine said you wanted to be shown around town. She's pretty busy, so I came to help."

OOC:I'm sorry my posts are so short. I don't know why they are.

 

After sunset? What was that all about?
She wrote down another message. Isn't there anyone else working here?
It seemed quite odd if she was the only one working at this ice cream shop.

OOC: Sorry, short post. Heheh . . .

 

"That's... good!" Rexyggor didnt know what to say... He just stood there...
"Well, might i say that we go? I would really like to get to know a lot more people and get more familiar with Radiant Garden." Rexyggor went with Marina to the headquarters...

OOC: sorry its so short, I'm jsut not sure if you wanted to keep the people in the restoration committee or have them disappear with Merlin...

 

Naminé read over the note that had been scribbled with the small crayon, then shook her head. Usually at the shops around town, there was only one worker posted. It wasn't really due to a lack of people, but rather..everyone seemed to be so easy-going within the protected barrier. The Restoration Comittee was working on expanding that barrier and ridding Radiant Garden of the thousands of Heartless that had gathered in the fissure.
Lately, they seemed to be backing off..or maybe they'd realized how futile their attempts at breeching the barrier around the town was. Hm..no, Heartless would not simply give up on their purpose. Stealing hearts.
"It's okay though, I've worked here a few times before. By the way, my name is Naminé. What's yours?"

OOC: Have any of you seen Sword in the Stone? Heh, I didn't really want to reveal what Merlin is up to..but no, he did not take anyone with him. He went off somewhere alone and left Naminé to fiend for herself. He already knows that the Restoration Comittee will no longer be needing his help. Or rather, he has nothing further to do in Radiant Garden. For now.

 

"OK, we better get going. It's a big town, " She looked up at the sky, "and it's starting to get late." Marina led Gregory around the crowd to a less-populated part of town. Here there were fewer shops, more homes, and less people running around to acomplish their arrands. she pointed at a small house.
"This is Merlin's house. Or, what used to be Merlin's house. He left this morning... The restoration Committee used to hang around here a lot" she said. She walked over to an even less populated part of town, and said,
"Here's the Bailey. From here you can see the castle and most of the town." Then she moved a few steps, but stopped suddenly.
"Oh, I forgot. There are quite a few Heartless in this part of town, so be careful." Then she led him to a place that was really trashed. Really. There were peices of brick and stone everywhere, and what looked to be a broken staircase. Marina jumped down from where they were, reaching soild ground. A few seconds after she touched the ground, she froze. Heartless appeared, surronding them in large numbers. She drew her weapons, two long black rods with sharp, shiny (YAY, SHINY) blades on each end. The young girl then started slashing her weapons at the Heartless, Until she noticed Gregory not doing much.
"Hey, you know how to fight?" She asked, and threw one of her weapons to extinguish the heartless around him. It came right back to her, and she caught it perfectly.

 

Lilly smiled, and signed her name: the sign for "Sweet" with an "L".
She smiled, knowing Namine wouldn't get it, so she wrote "Lilly" on the back of the small paper.
She also wrote down, "Do you think I should apply for the job?"

OOC: Argh, lack of creativity right now . . . my brain hurts.

"Uhh... well i havent had a weapon for a long time..." as he said this he kept dodging the heartless. He tripped over a metal can and fell onto his back. Suddenly he saw a heartless start to jump on him. He held his hands out for defense and closed his eyes. When he opened them, he saw the heartless's face right above his. He didnt know what was happening. He suddenly felt his hands in something cold. He looked at them. He was hold some sort of metal pole. It was pretty big. He then took action... He pushed the heartless off of him.
"And now i have one."

 

She stared for a second in awe.
"How the heck did you do THAT!?" She asked, but continued fighting as the heartless gathered around her.
At last, they had defeated them.
"Okay. That way," She pointed to one path, "goes to the Restoration Site and Postern." She pointed ina different direction. "That path goes to the Ravine Trail." Marina turned to Gregory.
"Which way do you want to go?" She asked him.

 

Naminé watched the movements of her fingers with interest, then looked down to read the word that had been written. "Lilly.." She smiled, then mimiced the motions that had just been done. "This, right? It's a nice name. A flower. My name comes from the wavering tides." She then turned to glance back at the freezer room, contemplating the question. "I'm not sure, but if you'd like. It's not really a bother to me..since.. I have nothing else to do now.. Perhaps we could work here together, since the summer is coming."
The owner of the shop wouldn't be around until closing time, but maybe Lilly would stick around until then. "Hm, hey, can you teach me my name with those hand movements too?"

OOC: Yay! Thanks Raye, it's been a while since I've done Sign Language.

 

Hey, Naminé_, you know where Naminé's name comes from, but do you know where Sora, Riku, and Kairi's names come from? I do. xD

 

I know Sora and Riku, but not Kairi... hmm.. I wanna know now

 

OOC: Actually, yeah. But..hm.. Like Rexyggor I don't know about Kairi's. I haven't bothered to look it up. XD *pokes at her Almighty Japanese - English dictionary*
