The Bond of Brothers One gloomy rainy day two babies were born. The boys were twins, their birth brought warmth to the gloomy day. Everyone gathered to see the boys. They brought forth: The sun through the rain, Hope through despair, And unity through division. As the boys grew older they were inseparable. Their bonds unbroken. One gloomy rainy day two men came and took the boys. Each going off in a different direction. As they were being dragged off they vowed they would meet again. The promise brought forth calmness through the hysteria, And the sun through the rain. Their bonds unbroken. The boys grew into men. Each a high ranked knight in their kingdom. Respected by all. One day the men’s kingdoms raged in a war. Each was sent out to fight for their kingdom. Each unaware of the others status. One gloomy rainy day the armies met. All perished except for the brave captains. The men charged towards each other. Swords clashed, causing sparks. Each parried the others attack. Both thought how odd it was that they were similar. The battle wore on as the brothers got tired. The one captain used all his strength as he thrust his sword in his opponents’ abdomen. The captain felt the pain rush over him as he fell to the muddy ground. He looked at his opponent, realizing the similarities. He yanked out the sword and lied in the mud. With his last breath he whispered, “Brother…†The winning captain looked in shock as the rain came down heavier. He crouched down hearing his enemies’ words. He took the cold knights helmet off. As shock, disbelief, and sorrow rushed through his mind. He held the knight close to his body. “Brother!†he yelled unable to revive his fallen twin. As he sat there tears rolled down his face. Powerless to take back what he has done, as his brother’s blood stained his hands. The sun came forth from the clouds and warmed the land. The man’s blood glistened in the rays of the sun. As the other man cried in sorrow, clutching his brother’s body. Their bonds unbroken. ---- Ummm... tell me what you think. >_<
Well... um not much to say here. Depressing, but not totally untrue. That kind of thing happened on a regular basis in civil wars and feudal eras. It's just putting it like that...
::shrugs:: Yeah it's not very good. But I'm not into the whole poem writing. It's only my second one... so... yeah lol.
It's not bad. I know I couldn't do it (not exactly the epitome of writing excellence over here) that well. So keep on writing this stuff I know I tell everyone this but I mean it every time.
You think you're a bad writing? Pfffttt... Look at all my crap I call writing. Haha... makes me laugh. :p j00 a good writer! :D
--- Why thank you. ::shrugs:: yesh it was sad... but not all stories are ment to be "happily ever after"
