“Why'd go to such lengths just to find a replacement?”

"They wish to find someone worthy."

"And what happens to those that lose? do we go back to our normal average lives once your out?"

    "Not quite."

It did not appear that any clear answered were going to be given because once those statements had been said Adia was moving on to the next topic. "I need to explain the controls now. More questions can be asked once I have finished." The voice said, pausing for a breath before going on. "

As this is said another image is projected before the static on of Adia. However this one is clear, crisp and seems to come from the ground instead. It is of the watch, and as each button is mentioned an arrow will appear to point to it.

"First, the blue button. It is the map. Clicking once will show a full map which will appear like these images before you now. Clicking it twice will zoom into your current location. It will also give the locations of the other Players unless they are removed from the game or from play." Another pause. "The yellow will open the Purchase and Trade options. Just say which one you wish to do then the order. If it's a Trade you'll have to have the trading person available."

This time the pause was a sigh. "Then the last command. This will summon one of us; Liv and I as well as a few others working under Ava for this game... Who answers depends on the day and time. And if they do not feel like answering they do not have to so keep that in mind." The voice stops again, this time long enough for it to be safe for you to assume they are finished again.

The meeting had been going on for a while now. No one could really piece together an answer for what was going on. Not much was making sense and the tension within the room was beginning to rise. Zico, sitting alone at the back, wondered if the billionaire behind this whole event would make an appearance. It seemed highly unlikely, but Zico was itching to see the face of the architect of this grand plan.

Shrieks began to echo throughout the room, some with astonishment and some with pain. No one had noticed the small watches seemingly embedded into their wrists, some began to panic clawing at the object trying to remove it, but it was to no prevail. Zico examined the watch, surprised at the fact he had only just noticed now. In the middle of the screen a number was displayed indicating the amount of money you possessed. Underneath were three small buttons, red, yellow and blue.

"Now... I should pause for questions, I guess..." said the voice.

"Since this is a game and you lose when you run out of money, what happens to the one left standing, the winner?" a young girl in the crowd asked.

"The game master is rich and powerful. However they are reaching their limits here. So a replacement is needed. This game has been designed to find that replacement, granting them all the power and money they have if they win."

Another young girl asked politely “Why have we yet to even learn the name of our benefactor? If they are this wealthy to bestow all this money upon us, we must know the name from somewhere; and yet no one has told us who it is.”
The name of the person behind all this was Ava. Whispers began to fill the room, many had heard the name before but none could ever recall seeing Ava in person.

Zico sat there still unable to piece together what was happening, there were a million questions floating around in his mind by this point, but as usual he would want to solve them by himself. The question period was abruptly ended much to everyone's annoyance and the voice began to explain the three buttons on everyone's watch. A map, a trade system and an alert. Three buttons which would play a huge role in everyone's life starting from this moment.

There was a long pause and it was safe to assume the voice was finished. The room broke into conversation, everyone seemed to have their own opinion on what was going on. Some simply believed it to be a publicity stunt, others thought they were part of some huge experiment. Zico remained silent, calmly listening to what everyone else had to say.

Amanda had been pretty quiet this whole time, listening to the questions asked and the host's responses. She kept staring at the watch and was not fond of the feeling of it. Amanda crossed her arms and finally spoke out, "Um... do we have to keep spending our money? What is stopping us from just locking ourselves up in our rooms and not spending any money?"

She got quiet as she tried to think up another question. Her book smart brain was on, so she knew only to ask for the essentials, "Also... what if we decide that we no longer wish to play?" this wasn't actually something she was considering, but she never knew what may happen.

"I believe they have their events for this. But if you so wish to try that, go ahead. Would be what I'd wish to do, no giving out boring speeches..."

"Also... what if we decide that we no longer wish to play?"

"If one wishes to quit they can use the summon button and tell whomever appears that they want out. The response depends on who shows. And well, since I'm here right now... If anyone wants out already please speak now."

    Would anyone withdraw already?

The room was silent as Aida's words lingered in the air. There was nothing said about a consequences if one did choose to withdraw and they were given to chance to do so right now if the so wished. Allen eventually gave out a sigh as he decided to speak. "I see, well I don't plan on leaving this game." He couldn't say the same for everyone else, but he could at least give his answer on the topic.

Now the only thing left to do was to wait for the others responses and for Aida to move things along.

"I'll take that as no one is quitting. If anyone changes their minds they can summon one of us and request a withdraw. This meeting was a tutorial of sorts... You'll be given some down time to adjust and explore now. Oh, sector D is now open. It is an arena if anyone of you wish to gain money from each other and bet on the compettion. More will be explained upon arrival if anyone chooses to go there... Enjoy the rest of your day. More will come soon."

There is another click at the door, unlocking it as the image of Adia vanished.

Save the answer to her question, Coco had ignored the rest of what had been said. It was simple even without anything having to be said. All she had to do was be the last one with money left. She looked down at her feet as they passed each other, swinging them due to boredom. Then she examined her wrist. With the watch thing it would be easy to keep track of her money so she wouldn't need to worry about that. And as the last words were being said Coco caught the last bit about sector D being open, not that she cared.

As soon as the image in the front of the room disappeared the young girl quickly and quietly got up from her seat and made her way to the door she had came in through. Not bothering to wait for anyone else to leave first. The change of scenery from the court room to the long stretching all made Coco realize that she had no idea where she was headed to. At least she was out of the courtroom, though. There were too many people in there. And now that they were able to go out find their own place to live the hotel wouldn't be as crowded as when they first got there. Which was good for Coco since she didn't plan on leaving. Still, she hoped some would decide to stay so she wouldn't be lonely living in a huge hotel by herself. But if no one did stay she would have a whole pool to herself. So, that was a plus.

And on that note, Coco had a little more spring in her step as she exited the city hall. Not particularly caring where she went.

With the image of Adia vanishing before them, they were left to do whatever it was that they felt like doing. There were still things that Allen was curious about, but choose to wait and see how things play out first. He'd might actually find an answer if he waited long enough to do so. Much like how it was when they were asked if they wanted out of the game, the room was silent. In fact, only one person had done anything and all that was was to leave the meeting area.

Since there was clearly nothing left for them here, Allen got up from his seat and left. Having no set destination in mind, he decided to head back to the park so that he could think about somethings as well as his next move, but first he stopped outside the building that they were in to think about something that had caught his interest.. Sector D did sound very intriguing the more he thought about it, that said it was still too early to wager any money. Though that didn't mean that he couldn't go to the Sector and get some more information. Information that would likely prove useful to him in the long run.

By the time that he'd decided his next course of action, he hadn't even gotten to the park like he'd originally planned on doing. Recalling what Adia had said about the game controls that were not embedded into their skin. Allen then held up the wrist that the device was on and pressed the blue button, bringing up the map that was mentioned and soon found the location of Sector D. This certainly makes things easier. Now if it wasn't stuck in his arm, then it'd be perfect. Oh well. Now he took a step forward towards his new destination.

Everyone appears normal to Allen as he wanders to Sector D, until...

After turning a corner you instantly notice that all the buildings around you have vanished. Even the ones from the way you came are gone. No one can enter where you are right now.

The sky flickers like a computer screen before becoming lines of zeros and ones however the road remains the same. You hear a voice next, filled with static and as hard to identify as Adia, though it's a different tone than theirs.

    "Select a challenger."

Indeed, the people building, just about everything around him was perfectly normal. While he wasn't expecting like a dramatic change of scenery or something like that, but at least a building for whatever they had planned for this specific area would've been nice. It would've given him something to look over in the mean time.

He walked around for a bit before decided to rest on a nearby corner, however when he made the turn just about everything vanished. Again, not at all what he was expecting to happen here in the slightest. Buildings around him had vanished and the sky was an even stranger sight. One's and zero's had effectively replaced the sky, making this seem more like a video game then anything else. I have no idea how to feel about this. One one hand he was amazed at everything that had happened around him and on the other hand, the fact that all this was possibly worried him about what else they were capable of.

That was when the voice had spoken to him.

    "Select a challenger."

"What is all this and what if I don't choose anyone?" Taking in the situation at hand, it was wise for him to attempt to get some answers if not clarification on what was going on. Allen wasn't about to do anything, nor was he going to blindly agree to do something without some kind of information. He'd made his way onto the road since that was one of the few things not digitized, gazing into the sky as he waited for a answer.

→ The voice chuckled. "Then I'll choose for you."

    "Then I'll choose for you."

Well that answer wasn't helpful in the slightest, though he still might be able to make use of it. After all he knew basically nothing of the other competitors so he may put himself at a disadvantage. However if whoever is speaking to him made the pick then he might actually either have a fair shot or an advantage. Of course there would be the chance that he'd still be at a disadvantage, but that was a possibility no matter what he did.

"Alright, go ahead and pick for me." Allen declared.

And once again he was back to waiting, though this time he started looking around the now mostly digitized area. He got the a video game vibe from how this was currently set up. Maybe that was a hint as to what the challenge was going to be or the voice was a huge fan of video games and use chance to get the area a more video game like theme. If it was the latter, then he wouldn't judge, he only wished that he'd gotten a forewarning to this and if it was the former, then he'd just have to wait and see as to what he would be doing.
