The Sora one is pretty good, the hair is a bit lopsided, but I should be talking, I can barely draw his hair at all.

Plus it's on paper, it's hard to get things right on paper, the mirror option on photoshop works wonders at helping you detect where things look weird. I still don't know why, but it just does.

 

Yeah, I'm not up-to-date with all the tech supplies. But these are old.

<3 I downloaded a video screen recording thingy, just coloured something, and am now saving the file with x2 speed and some music attached. Let's all hope youtube doesn't murder the quality, though the settings for the recording may have already done that....

I need to fix the video settings on the recorder though, because it looks weird the way it is, the colours aren't blended like that are in the actual drawing. See:

Trying to get the final one up, but youtube is really being annoying.

Oh yes, I've drawn a few Kayci sketches, but I need to wait a bit till I have the use of a printer, I'll get them doen as soon as possible though.

YouTube is always annoying when I try to upload videos. We have a new channel for the game company and I'm having to have one of the guys manage it mostly with the uploading because my internet is always a pain when it comes to uploads or downloads.

Thankfully, they are pros with Sony Vegas Pro 8 so we can get some sweet video editing going on. Haha. I'm learning Sony Vegas myself, because we have little study groups on the main EkIchi forums for us to help each other learn. I started a 3D model and animation group, too...because I'm wanting to learn 3DS Max. I'll most likely be placing some photoshop tutorials in there since that is a program I'm pretty comfortable with.

Especially with mouse line-arts.

It seems youtube is annoying for everyone, there are some things that could be changed to make it a lot better.

I hear Sony Vegas is really good for video editing, much better than Windows Movie Maker. as for 3D things, have you heard to Terragen? You can make 3D landscapes with it, it's a really cool program that my sister showed me.

Oh yeah I used to have Terragen. It sems a nice program, but I don't know how i would work for making 3D landscapes for games much, especially MMORPGs where the polygon count has to be taken into consideration.

Nice job on the video. You need to definately do a few tutorials on colouring anddrawing: specifically for hair. I also want to know the mthod for changing the colour on lineart to match the colours of the objects it surrounds: as in you make a dark blue line for a blue shirt, etc. I usually keep my lineart all black because I don't know how to change it.

Also, a nice tutorial on line and colour layers and how to make the layers so the colouring ines up nicely without bleeding over would be awesome. I know how to do it somewhat, but I'm sure there are better ways out there.

Yes, I've been meaning to do a few lately, I'll try to get those up soon. As for the lineart, I have a turotial up already, you can still change the lineart colours even after you start colouring just by using the same methods.

The transperancy lock is a didital colouring artist's best friend, jsut remember that.

 

Oh wow. This helps so much. I will put it to use on that 'Infidelity' (Larxene/Vexen/Zexion) piece I was working on, and all future coloured pieces. Haha.
