Normally they're done on computers, I just fail at tablets <_< >_>

They're surprisingly easy though. And even if you're not an amazing artist they're still fun to do, mine is proof of that.

And my Near's aren't exactly amazing and from what I've seen of your Sora's they're better then I can manage

 

O.o Really? My Sora doesnt really look like him...Or at most it looks like the younger Sora

 

I can't draw Sora for anything ._.
Or Axel either. Both of their hair is just pure evil to me. I can never figure out what to do.

And as for not looking like him 9/10 fan-arts don't actually look like the character. But they have the same features so it works. That's how even drawing Naruto in an Ouran uniform with rather Tamaki-ish hair will still look like Naruto because he has the whiskers.

I gave up trying to make them identical and it got easier and easier to make a likeness rather then a replication.

 

i can only achieve a chibi Sora >_< so you should count yourself lucky.

Axel's hair...Ive never tried, never want to xD
I suppose your right with the character features...If you have Sora's hair then you look like Sora...But Sora without his hair like isnt Sora >.<

 

Precisley. It's why I have such a nightmare with Near, his hair changes in every pannel of the manga and every scene of the anime o.o
