That's amazing, I'm far from dedicated enough to learn so many things.

For SOFA I've been done the Kayci drawings for a bit but I haven't been able to upload them. It seems a bit of a waste but I may have to burn it to a CD, luckily it seems the internet is the only thing acting weird with my good computer.
I guess I'll get a set of 10 blank CDs or something, SOFA is first priority so I'll burn that right away, for other drawings I'll just have to finish them and wait until I have enough to fill up a CD before I can upload them anywhere.

    For the music,
I'll have to wait till later, loading a youtube video slows down my ability to wander the interwebs on this slow computer.

Well the way I see it, the more I know, the more I'll be able to help others who want to go into certain fields of game design. So it benefits everyone in the long run if I feed my brain.

Take your time with SOFA. I'm in no rush really, just wanting something for myself to do to keep me busy on it. Making a game takes time anyhow and I'm fairly realistic with expectations unlike some guys over there. But at the same time I didn't want to zip off making sprites of people you didn't draw yet so it wouldn't be a killer for you to draw from a simple looking sprite. So I still think the best way is to let you sketch them first and discuss colours then me make test sprites until we're satisfied with the designs.

Until then I'm happy spriting Kayci and working on the detailed design document. The programmers are off learning more about C++ on smaller applications so when we finally pull everything together all they have to do is knock it out like BAM. I told them to go brush up on skills until they are comfortable making an engine for this and until then we will pop out animations, dialogues and voice acting, scripts, the soundtrack, and mechanics list so when they are ready we can have it all simplified and ready to input. Haha. I think that system will work well and increase production and everyone general knowledge while keeping people busy and letting them look at progress.

    Yes, that is quite true.

    I know
there isn't to much of a rush, though it is better to get something done sooner rather than later.
Things like reasonable deadlines and expectations earn a lot of respect with people, I'm glad you're the one organizing this, you're great as a leader.

It sounds like a good plan, simple enough and effective. Your idea to have the programmers work on their skills while waiting for work to do on the actual game is quite nice, it keeps them busy so they don't ditch the game and it has them improving.

I wonder if they also have lockdown drills along with tsunami drills?

My class is so dead if we ever had a real lockdown -__- The drills here go terribly, I can only hope in a real situation they can shut the damn mouths.

We only have fire drills at my school, and we have to do it in complete silence or we have to stand out in the cold/rain/sleet/wind for an extra 10 minutes which I think is insane o_O

I can understand being quiet, it lets you hear instructions incase you need to go another way or something, but having to wait is stupid.

    We didn't
used to have lockdown drills before, only last year we started. I think it's a good idea, I mean better to take that time sitting silently than to not know what to do if something where to happen.

Well the teachers just stand there blocking all the exits and yelling as loudly as possible at us when we go the quickest way rather then the "rules way", which gets annoying since they always make sure it's right in the middle of our lunch break >_>

Lockdown? So if something bad happened at the school or something?

No offense to you, but your teachers are idiots.

    Yea, like if
there was someone that may hurt someone or kill them. ie: school shooting or random guys coming it that didn't stop by the office to say who they where any why they where there. A friend of mine from another school that came here had a lockdown once cause a kid in grade 6 went nuts and was running around trying to stab peopel with scissors.
The lockdown itself is pretty simple, but our class is moronic and can't stay silent.

Oh I know they are, it's our new Headmaster. He's a control freak, yells at us for being out in the rain because if we're wet we "won't be in a fit state to learn" and then tells us we're not allowed in the classroom blocks at lunch or break ¬¬

That kinda thing never happens in our schools, you can easily just wander in and out of the site and no one cares unless you're a pupil.

    Strict headmaster...not fun.

    Yea, doesn't
happen around here either, but better to be safe than sorry. :/

Oh we just ignore him and the other teachers mock him <_< >_>

We couldn't lock down our school even if we tried. Too many different buildings.

    Hah, nice.

    What your
thinking of is probably kinda different than the way we do a lockdown.

And our new deputy is a evil git too ><

I mean we have people wandering around all the time and it'd just be impossible to get people to just not move or something.

    >_<

    I'm sure fear
of getting shot or stabbed may help a little.

    It basically goes like this:

There's a thing on the anoucement, you just get to the nearest room possible that's open, lock the door and turn off the lights, you phone the office to say what room it is and who's in it, then find the place farthest from the door or any windows and just sit it out till the office says it's over. Whole point is to make it seem like nobody's there

Making the drama department swap exam boards because last years lot got cocky, didn't revise and did shockingly badly. They've had top grades for years and they do badly once and he's making them change everything O_o

Sounds easy enough, but our school doesn't have a announcement system so we're screwed straight away there lol

Only one bad year and he's gotta change it all up? It sounds like the people running your school don't use much common sence.

    Well that's
gotta suck. How do you guys get by without one? O_o

He's just the teaching equal of a noob, it's rather funny to watch at times and just plain painful at others.

Well we have notices read to us in our registration periods, or at least we should do.
