The Age of the Heart

"Ah the drama, the rage, the tension...gotta love it" Gexln said quietly, a smirk at the corner of his mouth. He laughed quietly, amused by all the drama.

 

Docyx's body melts in Moths hands and a black puddle is all thats left.......... Then from the smoke a voice echoed about all the stillness
"Keyblade hero of many a blight, cannot aford to lose his light. Caked in shadow he shall remain untill his light, it shines again...."
nothing else was said

 

Istar sighed and shook his head as he caught up to him, "I never said stay here...I merely said...wait for me. One who realizes Alice is not the pretty little nice kid she pretends to be, is not my enemy...but my friend. As much as I hate that word, you're the closest I have to one. We should seek out Nova. Unlike her twin, the power of the Goddess didn't affect Nova like Alice."

 

Moth watches her friend melt and yells into the darkness. "What the he'll is that suposed to mean? Docyx if you can hear me remember this is all an illusion. Your mind is only what you make of it." she falls to her knees and a single tear slips from her now gold eyes. "Please no. Not another one. Dont make me lose another"

 

Auran smiled sheepishly "There is one place i have to go first, care to know where it is?" He said, laughing a little bit

 

Istar shrugged, "Not particularly...but anywhere is better than around here. Please tell me you're not going to do something stupid... I really can't handle that right now...after all sand is running through my veins right now instead of blood."

 

"So you won't get drunk?" Auran question Istar "Because i need a drink, but first i need to say something..." In a flash he appeared in front on Alice and said sternly "Come anywhere near me again and i'll tear off your wings for your little act" With that he walked back to Istar and kept walking down the road

 

Istar shrugged once he'd returned, "Never tried..." His odd red eyes slid up to Auran's face, "You think you could do it? Could you really kill her? If you can't...it wasn't necessary. You and I both know she'll follow me or you..." He started to laugh and could feel Alice's dead heart constrict in pain, "She used to be a lot nicer...more...obvious in her emotions. And right now...I can't even tell if she's angry with you or upset." He sobered for a moment and folded his arms, "She's got a point though.... I've been her vessel for...so many centuries I can't even remember. I'm tired...of being alive. Food takes like sh!t, drink is sour...and even the pleasures of companionship are dull and boring..."

 

Auran's mouth set into a grim line "I didnt threaten to kill her, i threatened to tear her wings off, which is what i'll do, im angry because she made me believe that she loved me, and rage fuels the worst part of me" As he said that, his eyes flashed black, then turned pure blue once again

 

Istar smiled, for once an honest smile. "Honestly, boy...you'd think you never listen to yourself talk. Didn't she kiss you? She hesitated...and asked you to repeat yourself the first time you all met me. The only person Alice ever loved...was Nova. It's not that she....doesn't love you...it's that she can't. Physically...the power of the Goddess dulled her heartbeat...cooled her blood, and gave her eternal life. Nova...on the other hand...is apart of her. A part that completes her. With Nova combined with her soul in Alice's body...she can feel...anything." He slapped Auran on the shoulder, "It's Nova that you miss. Without her, our little Alice doesn't know how to feel. But...if you became her vessel...I could die, excuse me, rest. And you would gain knowledge into Alice's odd reactions without Nova beside her. As her sworn vessel, I cannot tell you what she feels that she doesn't know she feels...but Nova can."

 

Auran's face did not lighten up "I will not be her vessel, I will not be a way she can live forever, I. Will. Not. Become. A. Puppet" He said grimly, looking at Istar with an emotion he thought he'd never have to feel again... Fear...

 

Docyx in the distance hears the scream.... he runs in her direction and bumps into a fimiler face.. "Moth?" the figure turns around and the sarts to melt leaving Docyx's keyblade behind. "My keyblade"
"Moth where are you" Docyx picks up his keyblade which is currently covered in dark mist

 

"On the night of the blood moon at the beginning of the summer solstice...Alice will lose her powers and immortality as a Keyblade master and Usurp Goddess. On that night...the brother who shall not be named will come to this world...and end her life as mortal and immortal being. And...I'll die." lowering his face, so Auran couldn't see his expression, his voice wobbled, "Alice's mother told me that...before she took her own life. She said she wouldn't bear life to the one who would kill her daughters. But...that boy has already been born. Like a Phoenix, from the ashes of grief, he was born out of wedlock with another woman. If you truly hate Alice...and wish her gone from your life...all we need to do is send a beacon. Will...you help...me?"

 

Moths face turns expressionless. "This is precisely what happened last time Moth. Come on we need to find Docyx" she gets up and closes her eyes. She summons her keyblade and wispered under her breath. Suddenly her eyes open and turn silver and her body moves forward. "Docyx. Dont worry I'm comeing. Fight the darkness inside yourself this is all this is. Only you can end this."

 

Auran looked to the sky as a single tear rolled down his face "I may be angry with her, but i would never send a beacon to someone so that they can end her life, its inhumane" He said, his voice full of emotion

 

"Inhumane, sure. But sometimes inhumane things have to be done to help somebody out" Gexln said carelessly, walking over now to where Auran and Istar were.

 

Sniffing, Istar pivoted to see Gexln, "Freeing her from her shackles is what I aimed to do from the beginning... I don't think you get it. Nevan believes she stole that power. Margaret and I know she was forced into that power. Alice may be a cold hearted b!tch now, but she's a nice girl underneath. Goddesses...aren't all warm and kind like you think. Either way, I'm going to set the beacon...I'll bring him here, whether you help or not."

 

"Just...how strong is this person you'll be bringing?" Gexln questioned, intrigued.
Luxek rolled his eyes. Typical Gexln he thought to himself.

 

Istar's face took on a serious shadow, "I wouldn't be able to say for sure. I've never met him. But...the stories go that he's killed seven other Goddess imposters like Alice before..."

 

Gexln chuckled quietly. "Sounds like it'd be quite interesting to fight him" he said with a smirk.
