The Age of the Heart

Alice planted her feet on the ground and narrowed her eyes, "What are you talking about Auran? Who?" She didn't believe anyone would want to tango with Nova...but messing with Alice was a must on their behalf.

 

OOC: The Doc is back (i cant remember the evil doctors name)

Auran closed his eyes, "For a couple of seconds i will let him speak through me..." Auran said as his eyes went from completely white to completely black. "Hehehahaha im coming for you Auran, you are a fool to remember everything, now i will kill anyone close to you, then you are next!!" Auran's face held an unnaturally large smile, then Auran dropped to the ground as his eyes changed back. "See? You and Nova are in danger..." Auran said, looking up at Alice from the ground.

 

Alice's lips thinned and she closed her eyes. "You're going to do something stupid to protect me too aren't you...." Alice knew Nova wouldn't give a damn if someone tired to kill her. She'd probably decapitate them. Alice on the other hand, cared whether someone threatened the man she loved and herself.

 

Auran kissed Alice's lips softly "I'll do whatever it takes to protect you from him" He said with a quick smile

 

Alice whimpered in pain, "You...Auran I won't allow you to put yourself in harms way for me. I am, after all, a Keyblade Master. I'm stronger than you."

 

"I will not let him hurt you, i know this man, i know how he is" Auran said quietly.

 

Alice shook her head and continued walking through her portal of light. Istar....c'mon...you actually want me to believe you're dead after that long speech? she thought and kept her anger directed toward her idiot of a fiance rather than at the man beside her.

 

Auran looked at Alice with concern "You okay?" He said, looking at her.

 

Barely three minutes passed before she felt the small answering pulse of Istar's breath on her neck. She stopped and glanced behind her, an old paranoia returning. Istar wasn't behind her and she grew nervous slightly. "I'm fine Auran. Just a little busy...."

 

"You dont look fine..." Auran softly held her arm. "Please tell me whats wrong"

 

She frowned briefly, "You're friend isn't the only one who's out for Nova and my heads...and yours. Istar..." she didn't believe she needed to say more. Istar...the one name she hated with a passion that almost frightened herself.

 

"Alice... Istar... Isnt dead?" Auran said, his voice sounding worried.

 

Alice simply shook her head, "He won't die....ever...until I do..." Alice focused on her bonds to people and let them appear physical. A half golden half red thick vine threaded from Alice's heart to Auran's and another pure silver vine with leaves and a single wilted rose on it lead from Alice's heart to somewhere down the portal, she gestured to it, "This is my bond with Nova...because she's dead...half of our bond is failing." The rose was Nova's heart, the stem of the rose, Alice's unwillingness to let go. A third ran from Alice into the darkness of her portal. It had several thorns and appeared cut up and damaged, "Istar's bond with me....isn't gone and thus Istar is still alive. Istar is bound to me by heart and soul. His life is apart of mine...."

 

Auran looked down at his chest where the vine was connected. "So how do we defeat him? Because im pretty sure i cut his head off after you two stabbed him" Auran said sternly

 

Alice opened her mouth to respond and shut it, considering her answer. "There are two ways to kill him....neither easy. The first, we'd both have to sever our bond with each other. Mine was cut a long time ago...he refuses to cut his to me. And no one can force another to cut a bond with a person. It'd be like someone telling you to cut the vine that connects us together." She hesitated on the second.

 

"So we have to find a way to convince him to cut the bind...?" Auran thought for a second. "I'll deal with it" He said

 

Alice grabbed his shoulder, "He'll never relinquish his control over me. With his vine still intact, he can summon me at will. I have no choice but to go to him." Panic overwelmed her at the thought of Auran again getting involved with Istar and her fight and words rushed from her mouth, "Thesecondwaytokillhimistokillme!"

 

Auran stood back along the edge of the portal, too shocked to move or speak...

 

Alice bit her lip quietly wishing she'd never said anything. She swallowed and shivered, "I'm sorry.....I'm sorry.....I'm sorry...." she mumbled quietly.

 

"I.... Will.... Not.... Kill.... You...." Auran struggled to say those words, then said strongly "If in the end i have a choice, either kill you or end my own life, i will gladly shove my sword through my chest..." He said as he slumped to the ground, looking at Alice with tears in his eyes
