The Age of the Heart

"Farewell" said Sephiroth,rolling his eyes.
"I do hope you dont get killed...oh wait,Im lying"

 

Auran walked with Alice through the portal, heading to Kingdom Hearts "So how are you feeling? Any better?" Auran asked, looking concerned

 

Alice smiled at him, though her leg stung with pain, she lied through her teeth, "I'm alright Auran. No need to be so concerned. I'm sure....Nova will be fine without me....she knows how to take care of herself." Alice wasn't sure if Auran knew Nova had left her or not. She wasn't sure of anything anymore.

 

Auran smiled, then his smile disappeared as he looked at the ground. "Im sorry..." He said to Alice quietly

 

Moth looks at the still unconscious form of Docyx and sighs with exasperation "for heavens sake is this guy ever gonna wake up. I have my own stuff to do" she says before once more sitting and watching the still sleeping form of Docyx.

 

Alice stared at Auran with wide golden hazel eyes, "Why're you sorry!? Auran! You can't control where Nova goes! Hell, I can't control where she goes! Please don't be sorry for something she did." Her eyes softened and she took his hand, "You have nothing to apologize for." Her resolve set in place, her face looked serene as she walked through the light.

 

Auran's face grew grim. "I can tell your in pain, lying to me is useless, i wasnt able to get to the fight in time, so you got injured, if only i got there quicker..." He said, still looking down

 

Sasuke regained consciousness to see Gexln watching him. "It caught me off-guard. It won't happen again" he stated.
Gexln sighed. This guy...unbelievable he thought to himself. Suddenly a black, clawed hand slammed on the ground beside him. Gexln pushed Sasuke out of the way as another clawed hand slammed right in the spot Sasuke had been standing in merely moments earlier. Gexln spun around. He saw a gigantic, winged heartless. It had 2 horns on the top of its head, and a huge tail. It also had two wings, black as the night sky. It roared up into the sky as it breathed black flames into the sky. "How the hell did THAT thing sneak up on us?" Gexln asked, wondering out loud. He spun around once more, opening a dark portal that lead to moth and docyx's location. He threw Sasuke through it. "Go get help...i'll keep this thing busy" Gexln said grimly. He opened a small dark portal, big enough for only his voice to go through as he closed the dark portal that Sasuke had gone through. "Auran, i'd greatly appreciate it if you could assist myself. There is a giant dragon-like heartless here, and to be honest i'd rather not die here today" Gexln said, half sarcastically. He then closed the dark portal, leaving enough of its darkness remaining that Auran would be able to follow it if he wished.

Gexln turned to face the Dark Dragon. "Well, i wanted a fight...this is about as big as it gets" he said, slightly worried.
Sasuke stumbled through the dark portal, nearly falling over as he emerged out of it. He looked at Docyx and at Moth. "What happened here?" he asked in an emotionless tone.
OOC: Keep in mind Auran may not have heard Gexln's voice, so it's optional whether he leaves to help or not.

 

Alice flinched only slightly. "You mean my leg? It's fine. Only a scratch. I'll be better in a day. No worries!" she forced a smile and hoped it looked natural. If only he didn't ask to see, she'd be in the clear. Alice knew very well her wound pulsed under her skin with purple tendrils of darkness and poison rocketing through her body. Though her inner light held back the more serious of the effects.

 

Auran was still worried. "Let me see it then..." He said, his voice shaky

OOC: yes i just did :P

 

Alice froze. It was either face facts or...run like hell. She wouldn't run from him again. "W-what? You....you want to s-see? Oh...well, I g-guess th-that's reasonable." Nervously, Alice bent down and eased her legging down over her wound. Even Alice stared at the frighteningly vicious tendrils of dark purple that stemmed from a single, long jagged cut on her leg. Darkness and poison mixed together branched in lines along her leg, inching toward her knee. "I'm.....I'm so.....s-s-orry...." she sobbed brokenly.

 

"A-alice!! Auran was shocked at the sight of her leg, then held her tightly "Dont apologise, its ok..."

 

Alice bit her lip hard and choked on her next words, "Nova took the worst of it. She's hurt and she left me. She has poison and darkness inside her and she's gone. I don't....know how to help her. I don't know how to help myself." She buried her face in his shoulder, wishing it was all a long, horrible dream she'd wake from any minute now.

 

"D-dammit! If only i saw this... Ok i have an idea" Auran said, closing his eyes, he mumbled ancient words, as the Darkness was drawn out of his body, slowly being replaced with Light. Once it was complete, his eyes were completely white, and his wings became much like angel wings. "I needed the light to heal you, and find a way to heal Nova as well..." He got Alice to lay down as he placed his hands over her wounds, closing his eyes, he focused his new powers on healing Alice. Five minutes later, Auran moved his hands away and opened his eyes. "That should fix it, now how do we heal Nova?" Auran said, picking Alice up and hugging her.

 

Alice obliged him in what he asked. His hands were warm on her leg but the light that surged from him into her wound was freezing cold. Alice bit her lip to keep from crying out at the biting cold. The Darkness in her wound responded as expected and faded...the poison not so much. Though fading in coloration, remained otherwise. Alice touched the healed jagged wound and frowned, "Hmm....Light touched by Darkness.....I don't like where this is going. A thousand years and I haven't allowed Darkness inside my body....that Heartless....It was a trap...I know it was." Alice thinned her lips into a hard line and closed her eyes, thinking hard. She squirmed out of Auran's arms and waved her hand in front of her, projecting an image of the Heartless she'd fought. "Hmm..." her eyes remained closed as she slowly dismembered her image of the Heartless. Eventually all that was left was it's emblem. She smiled, "Do you see what I see?"

 

Auran stopped, intrigued by the image in front of him. "I see it... But what exactly is it?" He said quietly

 

Alice's eyes opened and the image disappeared, "That Heartless was no ordinary Heartless. It was created from darkness and poison for the specific reason of infecting Nova. I wouldn't know who would want to hurt her though...." Alice frowned and looked up at him, curious, "You sure look odd...are you sure you're alright?"

 

Auran closed his eyes for a moment. "Your looking at it wrong... Nova helps you, makes you stronger... Get her out of the way, and you will be weaker... I know who is doing this, and i know why..." Auran said calmly

 

Alice frowned, "You do?" Alice couldn't fathom how Auran would know anything about who'd want to hurt her. So much of her past was a blur to even herself...a lot of it tainted red and black with darkness and blood.

 

Auran looked at Alice with concern. "You are in danger, and so is Nova... He will kill you both without mercy" Auran said, his voice shaking.
