The Age of the Heart

Ada looked at him,then grinned.
"Thank you very much" she said,accepting his hand.

 

Noroz froze for a while. He looked at Ada, and for some reason he couldn't move.

 

"N...Noroz?" Asked Ada,a confused and slightly worried look on her face.

 

Noroz looks into Ada's eyes. He can feel something he hasn't felt for a long time. All Noroz is able to utter is a simple "hm?"

 

Ada,frozen by the look in Norozs eyes,just stares back,still holding his hand.

 

What the hell is going on? Noroz thought. I can't move. Noroz is finally able to stutter out "I, I have no idea what's going on. I can't move." his voice is shaky.

 

Ada stands up,and looks at him. She closes her eyes,and thinks Free him as strongly as she can,letting a bit of her power,over energy,free.

 

Noroz feels releaved, but confused. "What the hell was that?"

 

Ada sways slighty on her feet,looking paler than before.
"Magic"she says with a weak smile,looking at him.

 

"Hm, nifty." Noroz notices that Ada is pale. "Are you ok?"

 

"Sure"she replies softly,bringing one of her hands up to her head.
"Just...let me get my head back together""

 

"Umm, do you need some help?" Noroz is thrown off, he hasn't had to think about other people for years and doesn't know how to react.

 

"Nah" replied Ada,avoiding his eyes.
"Just...." she suddenly winced,then strightened up.
"All better"

 

"o...kay?" Noroz doesn't really understand what just happened. "Should we get going?"

 

"Uh huh" replied Ada,starting to walk off

 

Noroz walks in front of Ada, eyes closed, sensing Axuran, Xero and Gexln. "What was that magic?" He asked, without turning around.

 

"....my....well,for want of a better word,power"

 

"I'm not stupid, what is it? What is the power? I know it did something, but I don't know what. What is your power? And don't give me a bull**** answer like magic." Noroz doesn't like not knowing something.

 

Ada steps back startled,then her eyes harden and she looks at him.
"First,dont start bull****ing me. And second,I dont really know what it is,or even how to explain it. I just know it allows me to do...things,that seemingly everyday I learn something more about it,and if I use it,even the tinyest bit,I get extremly worn out and faint. And I only said magic before,because Im uncomfortable with this power...it brings back to many memories. Happy now?"

 

"You shouldn't be uncomfortable with your powers, they are what helps you survive. And What memories? You know more about me than I know about you." Noroz' voice is calm and serious.
