The Affinities

A tear fell down her cheek. "He made me leave... I didn't have any choice...." She said.

 

Ulrich got back up and placed both of his hands on her shoulders. "Where is he?" He asked, offering a reassuring smile.

 

"He's still fighting," Ariana said. "Near where the dome let Jo and I out,"

 

"Scum." Jellal said, spitting in the commander's eye. His eyes were burning with hatred for him. He had destroyed his lifelong home and kill many of his friends. "Even if i go down, our cause will never fall. It's because of swine like you that so many innocent people were killed. He then punched the commander back which roused the soldiers into pointing their rifles at him. "Heh. You got spunk kid." The commander said as he shoved his knee into Jellal's chin. Which was returned be a fist to the stomach. He knew it was hopeless, but he would go down fighting. As dizziness and exhaustion finally won over, he collapsed on the ground. The last thing he saw before blacking out was the commander pointing his rifle at his face

Ulrich let go of her shoulders and placed a hand atop her head, mussing her hair. He began to walk past her. "I'll be back," Ulrich said confidentally, his tone as nonchalant as it had been when he first arrived at the orphanage. The clouds of dust became thicker around him as he left the tunnels. Ulrich ran back towards the dome, conserving his magical strength for when he truly needed it. The dust behind and around him was only a small measure of his strength. A cloak of sorts. It didn't take Ulrich long to make it to the dome. However, he kept himself hidden as he arrived, measuring the enemy's power.

"Sheesh..." he muttered. Ulrich snapped his fingers, causing the ground between Jellal and the commander to erupt with spikes made from the earth. Ulrich stepped forward, into plain sight. He wore a different expression. An expression he would never let anyone else see. It was cold, calculating, and full of hate. "If you value your lives, you will step away from Sparkles, the No Good Flamethrower," he threatened, letting the dust around him writhe with life. The substance, itself, began to solidify.

The commander tensed up as the sharp spines of earth rose up around him. the army turned their attention to the newcommer and fired away in his direction

@star pretty much Jellal = resistance leader and is recruiting. Andrew, his best friend and former resistance leader came back after a year and tried to talk him out of it. Everyone has sad memories of their past. Army attacked orphanage.

 

(OOC: lol, I thought it was pretty funny myself :P)

Ulrich scowled as they began to fire. Unfortunately, shooting a wizard of Earth magic was the equivalent of shooting at a steel wall. The shroud of dust solidified, catching the bullets that could've wasted Ulrich. Nevertheless, the shroud wouldn't last very long and would eventually weaken. Ulrich never wasted time. He knelt down the moment the wall solidified, the moment they started shooting, thrusting his palm into the ground. At first, nothing happened. However, were one to look more closely, dust filled the air, accumulating into a thick cloud. Those who kept firing would eventually discover that all they hit was massive clumps of dirt.

"I'll give you one more chance to surrender," Ulrich told them sternly. He hadn't moved from his spot, they discovered. "You're underpowered. Most of your men are probably dead. You can't handle another hit from a magic-user. Especially if he hadn't truly exercised his own abilities. So, if you don't tuck your tails between your legs and leave... I will kill you." He informed them in a matter-of-fact tone, fingers poised to snap.

 

A majority of the soldiers looked around and realised just how many men had been taken out by the four mages. only four, and they wiped out nearly an entire devision. If an army of them were raised, it could spell the end of humankind. about half had the good sense to retreat to their families and see another day. The other half however...called his threat a bluff and charged at him

OOC: I can't believe this plan actually worked. Personally, I wanted them all to just give up so they could lick their wounds, but... I have to say that it sucks to be them.

Ulrich shook his head. He had warned them. Those who had fled were spared the fate of these men who had charged him. Ulrich snapped his fingers, and the dust cloud became a field of flying spikes that ripped through the air, shooting at non-vital areas. Mostly legs and shoulders. As the soldiers went down, writhing in agony, Ulrich began to move toward the commander.

"Checkmate," Ulrich said aloud, glaring at the commander. "Despite my aim being off, your men are as good as dead if you don't retreat." He went on. "Dirt and soil make up a large percentage of dust. Bacteria and germs live in the earth, which is the source of dirt and soil. Do the math..."

 

The commander growled angrily at Ulrich "You filthy wizards don't scare me!"He said stupidly, even though it would cost him and his men their lives.

 

Ulrich stopped, his cold expression vanishing into that of an innocent, lazy smile. "A pity," he said tapping his foot. The earth beneath the commander began to rise and swirl, becoming roots. However, despite what the commander may have been thinking, Ulrich was not going to kill the man. He was simply going to humiliate him. The roots held the commander in thrall and Ulrich moved again, lifting Jellal. "It was fun," he said in an off-handed manner. "Perhaps we can play a game of Chess sometime, see how well you do when you're not being an idiot." Ulrich laughed, walking away with Jellal in hand. "Au revoir," Ulrich teased, waving a hand good-bye to the commander.

It didn't take him long to reach the tunnels, and when he arrived, he made sure he was beaming. "Ariana!" Ulrich cried excitedly. "You missed it! Sparkles here just wiped out the rest of the soldiers!" He lied.

As i breath my first breath I think: "What am I? Who am I? And what is happening?!" as the fog lifted, Jaks began to see something, something he recognized. As her face became clearer, he figured out who it was! His girlfriend Shanna Kelly was sitting over him with a wet cloth in and as she said "Oh good your awake! Jaks you have been in a coma for ten years after you used your powers for the first time! you somehow released a wave of elemental magic out when you saw the other humans kill your mom dad and hurt me. You somehow caused an earthquake, that released an underwater geyser, that then turned into a scalding hot geyser that became lava which was the strangest thing ever since there is no magic in your blood!" but with that, he passed out again,still feeling the exhaustion from the event, but not for long he then woke up and heard the events from the last 10 years and resting so he could help fight with the resistance like his girlfriend and so many others are

 

The commander stood there, dumbfounded at what had just happened. He looked around at the hoard of dead and injured men. They had been utterly defeated by four people. Meanwhile, A battered and bruised Jellal groaned in his unconsciousness. Barely aware that he was alive and hadn't died there in the ruins of the orphanage.

 

at one point, Jaks disappeared when shanna lft the room and somehow ended up by the commander, and stood there silently waiting. the moment he moved, Jaks bound him yo the ground and began Chinese water torture by forcing a drop of water to drop on the same spot on his head for hours. then when commander was fed up with yhis he attempted to say something, but before he could, Jaks covered him so tightly from all points he could not move but left one spot open and then continued to drop water on his head. then he left condemning him to death by Chinese water torture

 

OOC: Wow, you've posted a lot since I went offline last night, I'm having a hard time working out what's going on. I'll deal with starseeker3 before working out my post.

starseeker3, sorry I wasn't online. Before you start can you please do a proper OC form for each of your characters? Though I'd prefer it if you only had one. I'll help you will this if you have problems.

Okay, for the rp I'm taking it as the group that were escaping - everyone except Jo, Jellal, Ari and Ulrich - escaped down into the secret passage (seperated from the rest of the orphanage) while the others went back to fight. I actually really want to split up the people who stayed behind and fought (Jo, Jellal, Ari ad Ulrich) and everyone else who concentrated on simply escaping. Because I've missed so much, I'm going to say this post starts just before Arianna returns and happens while the others were still fighting, before Ulrich returned.

BIC: Haley let most of the group go through before her, she wanted to make sure they all got out of the fire okay. She waited until everyone but Ulrich at the back and the ones who were fighting had gone through. She thought Ulrich could take care of himself to get into the passage and the ones who were fighting had made their choice. She needed to make sure the others were okay who had already gone in. Wiping her forehead with her hand, she entered the passage, feeling the cool air sweep over her and making her smile for the first time since the chaos had broken loose.

However, she ran to catch up with the ones who had already gone through. She caught up just in time to see Caeli fall. She paniced for a second before realising it was simply from exhaustion, he'd worked hard for them. Moving over to him, she carefully picked him up, a big feat considering how small she was. She smiled at the group, "Is everyone okay? I'm really proud of all you guys today, you worked well together as a team and everything's going to be okay. Just keep moving."

Looking back, she sighed, the same couldn't be said of those idiots who decided to fight. She couldn't believe what had just happened, it was unreal and her home for most of her life had been destroyed in an instant. She also knew fair well that this would do nothing but convince them that the resistance is right and war is the only option. She had her work cut out to stop them.

 

Maddie smiled gratefully at Keel as he took the barrier off of her shoulders, however she was panting so hard that she couldn't voice her gratitude. She had used so much magic up in one go and it was really taking a toll on her, especially since this was the first time she needed to use the amount that she did. Her heart was beating so fast and her head was pounding like a bass drum. Everything was slightly woozy, but she tried to keep intact and awake. She didn't feel that being a burden to anyone else would help at the moment. She gasped quietly as Caeli tripped and fell over in front of her. Had he been shot? Was he messing around? She couldn't tell. She wouldn't even be able to kneel over to help him for a while. She turned back to Haley. "...How...many more are coming?" Her voice was weak and quieter than usual as it came out, but it was surprisingly still audible through all the madness that they slowly retreated from.

 

Ooc: wait what? When did he say he was dead? /Confused
