...13 crystal skulls? First off: Why would the Mayans make crystal skulls that could bring the end of the world if they are not together by a certain date? Even a Bond villain wouldn't be that stupid. Secondly: The Mayans weren't around since the begining of time so where were they hiding the skulls on the f***ing moon? It would have been more interesting if it said the then end of the world would be brought apon by angry Llama people from the earth's core....... wearing silly hats.

I have a special little black hole in my cold black heart for stupid theories, but it's like owning a lion. It's very awesome if you know how to take care of it, but if you don't you're going to be cleaning bits of your former children off of the kitchen floor. This may sound a little bit hysterical but End of the World theories are probably the most evil thing in the world. It's not the Video Game kind of "evil" that convinces children to shoot each other - that's loser evil. It's not even the D&D type of evil that turns millions of people into mindless zombies, doomed to walk the earth devouring pizza and Moutain Dew. No, it's evil because it brainwashes people to thinking the world is going to explode and then people wonder why the suicide rate went up a few numbers. People who make those theories must really hate the world, if they could they would probably make special camps for human beings and the walls would 100 feet high and they would be held together with they're own blood.

People thought that the world was going to end in 1999. Did it end? No.

 

There have been people going around saying the world is going to end for millenia. Back then they wore rags and had sandwich boards tied to their bodies, going around proclaiming all sorts of crazy things. Did anyone believe them? No.

All of a sudden its the 21st Century someone with exactly the same mindset writes a book full of **** and everyone goes into a panic.

I saw a tv special on this a while back (before indiana jones) and it had nothing to do with 2012.

the legend was that when they were reunited, they would unlock some sort of ancient civilisation, i dont remember it was a while ago. a few of them have been found apparently, and carbon dating says that they are too old to have been made with tools, but carbon dating is inaccurate anyway so that isn't really a concern.

Edit: also, carbon dating is quite reliable, if calibrated correctly, and there are dozens of other methods that can be used to confirm dates,.

Oh, WOW. This reminded me of Indiana Jones. It even made me laugh, really hard out loud. This is ridculous bull and I'm normally really open minded with things but...This is just stupid. I highly doubt that if 2012 is in fact going to happen, 13 magical crystal skulls would be able to fix it. Just stupid.​
