I think he's an excellent actor and I think we're in need for a older Doctor, I think the newer Doctors were getting a little too young.

I think he'll be a great Doctor and I wasn't surprised when they announced his name as he was the top of the betting boards. I think they need someone different and he is very different : D

 

Hopefully his age will reduce the number of fangirls.

(he's still good looking)

 

Is it bad that I am really excited about what his costume will be? It's got to be something closer to 10's than 11's... alas I doubt we'll see series 8 until August 2014

 

I was totally expecting more bitching from this site's Who fanbase about the Doctor not being young.

I'm impressed. Good job.

 

I'm glad they picked someone older. Matt Smith was at times childishly fun because of his youth (which most of us fell in love with of course). It'll be really cool to see how Peter delivers the role of the Doctor in his own way.

 

For some reason, I'm getting a slight House vibe from this new Doctor.

 

Im not into Doctor Who but thinking about it now with this guy I think I might watch it.

 

My only problem is that he's already had an appearance, so I'm kinda thinking "Does that make the episode null and void, or not?"

He certainly has this Doctor-ish look about himself, though.

 

Since I'd heard the Capaldi rumors beforehand I wasn't too shocked about the announcement--I was more hoping they'd show his costume, despite probably none of that being figured out yet, lol.
