    I-I don't understand...
    Marvel and DC were on a roll with excellent TV shows;
    Spectacular Spider-man, Green Lantern The animated series, Young Justice, Avengers: earth's Mightiest Heroes...
    Now they're all being replaced with low par writing, slapstick, or whatever characters the movie had, to make the series more popular. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, IF DONE RIGHT.

    Animated Show's that are running and being introduced this year this year are Marvel's Avengers Assemble, Hulk and the agents of S.M.A.S.H., Ultimate Spider-man, and Teen Titans GO! I can't say enough for the Avengers or Hulk shows, but TT and Ultimate make me very sad...

    This, oh my god.

    I mean, if this was a reboot of like Dora the Explorer and making it cute and fluffy, that's fine, because Dora's all fluff. But Teen Titans was a mix of the more fluffy happy stuff and legitimate "this is dark and serious and will make you think about this for a while". I hate dramatics, and I really hate to be dramatic, but honestly, this show is just going to take all the development the characters have gone through (e.g. Raven saving the world from her father and also everything Terra related), and just wipe it all out.

    Which is a shame, because what the original Teen Titans did it did damn well.

    I will say this on Amaury's side, though: there may not be anything wrong with CN (correction: as much wrong as we'd like to think). Just like music did, television changed to fit a new generation. Think of how our parents and grandparents generally feel about our tastes. There's a couple of shows I like on Disney, Nick, and CN, even if the majority sucks, but their new audience may enjoy the majority. I'll accept if I'm wrong here, I don't have their ratings or viewership in front of me. Not to mention, our "kid" shows growing up had some things similar to slapstick; we just didn't understand it back then. I watch shows like Rugrats or Rocko's Modern Life occasionally on kiddy Netflix and the amount of stuff I missed as a kid that I'm glad I did was...wow, but hilarious now that I see it.

    I actually rather like Ultimate. Yes, it's not as good as the other Spidey stuff, but at least it's comedy is done right.

    I gave it a chance. Three episodes. Drake Bell as Spider-Man? hated the idea, liked it in the end. Luke Cage as a kid? Eh...sure, I'll give it a shot annnddd they ruined him. Iron Fist and White Tiger? Don't know enough about them, maybe the only reason I didn't mind them in the show. Nova, the Human Rocket? Sure, I love Richard Ryd-wait, it's not him. It's the new one, Sam. I guess it makes sense, Richard and Peter got a long in the comics so why not just throw in the new one who's only been in like...three issues, is half of Spider-man's age, and Spidey probably doesn't know he exist just for the sake of having a teammate he doesn't get along with. Characters aside, let's try the show. Too much slapstick, cutaway gags, breaking the fourth wall. Oh, I get it. They wanted to make a Deadpool cartoon instead, not a Spider-Man. The comedy just doesn't work for this. I didn't think it'd be that difficult to do comedy for the Spider-Man, the king of witty banter. The show is trying too hard to be funny. I mean, compare the animation to Spectacular Spider-Man. Spec is much child-friendly on the eyes but a serious show while Ultimate is the other way around. Granted, it's probably being judged too harshly for following Spectacular, which never should have been canceled. The show has a decent premise, despite the flaws, and if it wasn't so slapstick, it could be somewhat good. But hey, who cares about that.

    The only Spider-Man shows I've watched are Spider-Man Unlimited and Spider-Man and His amazing friends. As much as I like the character "Spider-Man" I don't feel any obligation to watch an animated adaption of the only comics I've read that doesn't look faithful at all to the source material. I thought the Drake Bell thing sounded like a bad idea, so that was one of the reasons I didn't watch it, but I also thought Jesse McCartney as Robin was a bad idea and that turned out to be amazing. ( I don't know why I thought this, he does great as Roxas.)

    tl;dr I'm incredibly biased

    It is silly. Just not in a good way.

    They took one my favorite cartoons from childhood and just chibi'd it down to a "comic" blunder.
    I mean the animation looks good don't get me wrong but story-wise ugh no just stop CN you've done enough damage
