I wouldn't know, but in the context of the show which he was talking about Beast Boy is green.

 

Which was lame, considering the second season of Young Justice was aired after Gar was rebooted to be red, though it made sense in the show. In the original comics, he was bitten by a rare, green monkey and was infected with a disease that caused his DNA to crash or something and the serum that he was given allowed him to rebuild his DNA. Or something like that. Since two years ago, he's been red because he's connected to The Red, the metaphysical plane that connects all animal life which Animal Man is connected to (and previously thought to be the avatar of, but he's actually the avatar's protector).

Interesting. Things like this scare me away from reading comics even more. I've been wanting to start reading but there's just too much that I wouldn't even know where to begin. I've been watching comic book shows and movies all of my life, and I actually had a lot of Ultimate Spider-Man and Teen Titans comics when I was in 3rd of 4th grade, so I know most of these characters, but when it comes to the comics themselves I'm not that knowledgeable.

 

Read the wikis. Just pick a character you like. Even if you don't know anything that it's talking about, you'll eventually end up reading about other things. It's like tvtropes. Or go to comixology and click the New To Comics? section. DC is the best point to start now because since the reboot, all series are, at most, 18 issues in. Some of the are still very continuity heavy (Batman, Green Lantern, etc.), others not so much (Flash, Justice League), and others almost no knowledge is needed anymore (Teen Titans and Superman, though Superman has like three series).


EDIT: But yeah, there's a Red (animals), Green (plants), Rot (decay or something), Clear (aquatic life), then a different version of the Green (Earth's life force in a different universe) and the Grey (that universe's version of the Rot).

He also proposed to her. Both her and the original Batgirl. Plus, Star didn't rape him like that one girl did.
