On an otherwise nondescript day, I rummaged thru the garbage pail and brushed what felt like hair. Yanked it out and, sure enough, held in my hand was a neatly decapitated head. She was a blonde. Now ordinarily, LARiA might have been at once disturbed, then questioning. But dream!LARiA was a morbid specimen. I had been recently fascinated by shrunken heads encountered in Ripley's, decided that this was the perfect opportunity to conduct an experiment of my own. My mother was surprisingly compliant with it. At first.

If this thus far reads like an issue straight out of EC Comics... Well, I have no defense. It reads exactly like that.

Problems arose when-- after the skull was removed, the incisions made, the skin/flesh removed, the eyelids sewn shut, the head dumped in a pot of boiling water and yada yada-- after many a day it did not boil. There the pot sat on the kitchen counter, in the open. For days, weeks. I felt the process was taking too long, and my mother agreed. She didn't like seeing it whenever she passed by the kitchen, she contemplated hiding it in the pantry but felt the putrid stench would contaminate the food. "That head is tearing this family to pieces!," she screeched at me in rage.

dream!LARiA, morbid as she was, was finally beginning to feel the least bit disturbed. The head was driving me insane, slowly but surely.

    [fast forward]

I'm watching the news with my parents. A worldwide search funded by the Justice League was on for Supergirl. Superman was distraught. Superman has been known to act irrationally under stress. Cue paranoia...

    [fast forward]

None of us want to be the one to break it to Supes, that we have her head. Never mind that we had no connection to her initial disappearance, had found the head by utter coincidence. None of us wanted to be caught under his gaze, heat vision activatable in under a millisecond. Didn't want to have to rationalise my experiment to someone else, 'specially not someone from the high and mighty League. They wouldn't understand.

They'd accuse me of defiling the dead, was that not a legitimate crime? Paranoid.

    [fast forward]

We never leave the house. Parents cannot handle the stress. They abandon me with the head. Batman is investigating. It's only a matter of time.
Finally makes sense... Kryptonians are immune to heat. Of course she would not boil. Of course.

I couldn't come up with this shit even if I tried-- oh wait, that's right, my mind asleep
ladies & gentlemen, this is another performance brought to you by her subconscious!

*Bumping this with my own dream.

For a good three nights now, I've been dreaming of a wide, open facility. Only indoors, as if it were an office building that was cleared out, bleached, painted white, and swabbed with clorox everywhere. Really sterile, and just kinda creepy, really.

So I begin the dream walking in through a door on the outside, in a hallway. It's like that hallway in the Matrix, the never-ending one. After entering the space, lights begin to turn on, and I hear the AC turn on.

There are no desks, no papers, no cabinets, etc. Nothing that I'd expect to find in an office building.

But there's one thing: an arrow pointing from the beginning of the door I just entered through, all the way to the broadside windows on the edges of the office. I start walking, and, slowly, I start waking up.

If it falls into non-use again, I'll ask for it to get locked up.

I dreamed that I was still in school and had another English class. One of the assignments was to read a book but I just didn't have time to do it so I read **** about it on the internet. My professor knew it though and made me come into her office and discuss the book and I couldn't because I hadn't read it and it was actually really scary you guys

I wonder if I can give Makaze an alert using this thread... I COULD BUG A BANNED PERSON!

    Nah. Effort.

Don't remember my dream other than I woke up prematurely and figured out what it meant, then just fell back to sleep

I dreamed a dream in time gone by
When that guy from choir was my boyfriend
I dreamed he held me when I cried
I dreamed we loved without end

But the morning came too soon
With its daylight harsh and blinding
As it drove away the moon
As it mocked my secret pining

And still I dream he'll come to me
That we will live the years together
But there are dreams that cannot be
And there are storms we cannot weather

tl;dr I had a nice and also slightly steamy dream about this guy I'm in a choir with. The Les Mis spoof was just for fun.

"I say to you today, my friends, so even though we face the difficulties of today and tomorrow, I still have a dream. It is a dream deeply rooted in the American dream.

I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: "We hold these truths to be self-evident: that all men are created equal."

I have a dream that one day on the red hills of Georgia the sons of former slaves and the sons of former slave owners will be able to sit down together at the table of brotherhood.

I have a dream that one day even the state of Mississippi, a state sweltering with the heat of injustice, sweltering with the heat of oppression, will be transformed into an oasis of freedom and justice.

I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.

    I have a dream today.

I have a dream that one day, down in Alabama, with its vicious racists, with its governor having his lips dripping with the words of interposition and nullification; one day right there in Alabama, little black boys and black girls will be able to join hands with little white boys and white girls as sisters and brothers.

    I have a dream today.

I have a dream that one day every valley shall be exalted, every hill and mountain shall be made low, the rough places will be made plain, and the crooked places will be made straight, and the glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together."

I had a dream that I was lying awake in the middle of the night staring at the clock, thinking "Man, tomorrow I have to do a lot. I have to watch an episode of Psych, I have to play Sims 3, and I have to tell everybody that I'm secretly psychic. And I don't know how on earth I'm going to handle all this without my phone. OH MY GOSH, IT'S TOO LIGHT OUT IT'S MORNING ALREADY AND I HAVEN'T SLEPT AT ALL YET!!!" So then I woke up and it was only 3 in the morning.
