Why would you ever even think that those graphics look like PS3 graphics? Like everyone says the psp can handle this easily. At most there would be some slow down when you get into a big fight or the developers would have to limit the amount of enemies on screen a little more. Other than that it would run perfectly on the PSP (GO PSP!!! YAY!!!).

If you a play a lot of Square Enix games like me, you'd really notice one of their habits. In their games THE REALLY important parts of the game are usually in really nice, clean graphics. They really like show these better graphiced cutscenes for commercials and ads. Why? Gamers want to play games that have good graphics, makes them feel like they're actually in the game.

Judging just by how the game looks isn't what's going to get us thinking that they're going to put it on the ps3 or ps2. Although, I do think that move can possibly be made.

Your avatar fits you so perfectly.... XD
Yes, so long as you make the models right, you can create beautiful cutscenes with very little polygons. That's part of what makes a good 3D artist, and Square Enix is full of them. I might make a separate thread (if I get the time) to show the difference in the number of polygons on a figure. I'll probably use Sora, since they made so many different models of him. @.@
The PSP is a mighty but mini piece of technology, that's for sure.

Look at the first ps2 games, now look at the new ones. Each generation of games improves in graphics despite the hardware. This is because the formates and coding also changes which also makes a huge difference, not to mention the fact that the newer PSP games overclock the CPU (or run at the original 333) and this allows the games to run better and have better graphics.

The poor PSP and NDS have been greatly underestimated by some poeple :(

I'm pretty sure, as others have said and shown, that the PSP can handle the BBS game very well with the graphics and all. I do not believe Nomura set us up for the fall on this. It would be nice if the game also came out on PS2 but I'm very sure it's definitely coming out on PSP and it will look just fine. Crisis Core looks awesome on PSP as was shown above.

I can see why you thought it though that it might not. Handheld consoles though have come a long way, fortunately.

You have to understand. the cutscene is only a video on the psp. The psp isn't really working hard on the mapping of the characters. So watching the cutscene is just like watching final fantasy movies or something.

I bought a PSP already for BBS. There is no conspiracy here, the screens taken are size of PSP.

Also some screens have worse graphics than PS2.

Like everybody else has said, the PSP does have pretty good graphics.I've seen scenes from the game Crisis Core, and this is for the PSP,and the graphics are pretty good.So I doubt it BBS will come out in the PS2 or PS3.

No mate! Birth By Sleep is going to be out for PSP there is no way they will release it for PS3. I mean if they would make it for PS3 the whole game would have graphics like in The starting cutscene and the ending cutscene! Maybe for PS2 but I don't think he tricked us! I am sure it will be out for PSP
