Well since it's obvious that Terra isn't Terra's real name, (since Terra means "unknown") what do you guys think his name is?

Terra can be a female or a male name, Tina is only female. Unless Terra is a cross dresser or a girl who got a sex change, his name will not be Tina.

No. There is no evidence to back up that load of bull ****. His name is Terra.

Well, even in an interview, I saw that it said that Terra wasn't his real name.

I'm pretty sure you have Ven and Terra confused.

There is absolutely no evidence to support that.

Terra's name means earth/land. You're probably thinking of Ven.

Square enix would not copy a name from a previous game.

    Wikipedia:
"Nomura had also stated that the name "Ven" is an alias, and his real name is longer."

Yeah, Ven is the one with a weird name.

I seriously doubt Terra's name is Tina, but it would be wrong to make the argument that they can't take names from a previous game. Look at all the people named "Cid" in Final Fantasy games.

I would assume it means earth. Aqua means Water. Who knows what Vez means? I would assume another element.

Most of you are completely not understanding the Terra/Tina thing. In the original Japanese FF6, the main girl was called Tina, not Terra. Terra was only used in the US version.

So the joke is if his name is Terra in Japanese, they would translate it to Tina in English.

We know the joke but I highly doubt anyone in thier right mind would translate Terra to TIna.
