just gonna po in here to say that there was an arc where goku did not win a single fight. now i will pop out.

 

You mean other than the fact he has never killed any villains in DBZ?

 

I know next to nothing about Marvel or DC heroes/villains, and I still know Goku and Vegeta would lose that.

I'm sure they could beat a good number of them though. Like Spiderman.​

 

Let's be honest, in that sense no one in ANY universe stands a chance...and yet they still end up dead or defeated in some way, so something has to beat them

 

It's often circumstantial reasons.
The most obvious example would be that Batman should never be able to beat Superman, yet he does in TDKR. Why? Because that's how the story was written, but if you only look at the abilities of the two there's no way that would have happened.

 

And before anyone even questions the legitimacy of Batman losing to Superman...well...

 

Didn't Batman use outside help and eventually faked his own death to stop the fight?

 

Yes, but by all means he still won. Like I said, there's no way he could do it without some circumstantial assistance.

 

Considering Superman held back a lot in that fight and was more concern with Batman's health then actually defeating him, and remind me, who was holding who's body at the end of the fight? Yeah, Batman lost or at least went "You didn't win! You didn't win!" with his heart attack.

 

Batman most certainly did not win even that fight.

In the terribly written sequel (no seriously, I read 10 of its pages and it sounded like a bad fanfic), Batman did win, with around a decade of preparation and the assistance of three superheroes, but it's considered non-canon anyway.

 

I don't count it as that since it's not made from his energy. It's made from everyone else's. he just collects it.

 

But Batman has a bigger advantage than Superman when it comes to smarts....

 

Depending on the writer, he's either got an average intellect, or he's a supergenius.

Either way, as a Kryptonian, his brain is faster at processing information than humans.

But still, Batman is a better strategist overall. He has to be to make up for a lack of superpowers.

 

Superman's brain is better at processing, reproducing, and applying vast amounts information while Batman is better at abstract problem solving, deductive reason, and battle stratagem.

In an issue of Superman/Batman they touched upon this... Superman is able to draw an MRI quality photo of brain from a single glance while Batman is able to identify a computer virus and it's origin within said brain.

And not to mention he can speed read things and his day job is as an investigative reporter. A job that requires one to pretty smart.

Also in the reboot New 52 Superman learned what takes a human 10 years of medical training to accomplish in 5 minutes... literally.

 

The real problem with comics is that they don't have any levels, or respect any continuity, a hero is stronger than another just because "it is their comic, and not the other"... Even though I've read some of marvel's heroes for sometime, it is something that enrages me..

For exemple during the events of the "Dark realm" where there were "DArk Avengers", in there they would have different levels (not only of power, but even inteligence) depending of who's story were at a time Vennon (dark spider man) , was an inteligent man eating guy, and in the other he was some kind of teenage woman that was also stupid (because of the hormones that they've put in him to make him look like black spider man).

Osborn was manipulating everyone... just that Draken (Dark Wolverine) was also doing his thing controling feromones (lol).

But to put the subject Superman behind, all his power comes from the sun, so if anyone is stronger than the sun is clearly stronger than him.. even at comics this isn't that difficult.

 

Um we all know that bucky can beat those 2 in like 1 second

 

If... anyone is stronger then then the sun... then they are stronger then- what?! No seriously, what?

 

I think he means if they're beyond getting power from the sun.
