I hope no one is taking the Windows rating seriously. It's not even close to being a proper benchmark.

 

I gave it because he did. I don't even run Windows most of the time.

We never have any lag, but the loading times can get annoying. Impatience. The hard drive is the slowest thing about it.

I should probably get an SSD.

 

I'd only really recommend that if your wait time is substantialy high, for whatever it is you're doing.

well I just debunked that canyourunit thing rat, I just checked some games I know I can run on high settings with no problems and it still thinks my pc would explode if I went near them.

 

What games?

 

Very rarely should you select a preset low, medium or high setting. If you only use 2x antialiasing and turn down shadows, you can run games much better than you think. For example, Fallout III's high settings used 8x anti-aliasing, which is a huge performance hit. Turn that down and you'd be fine. The biggest performance killers are anti-aliasing, shadows, SSAO and texture size.

Some games it gives me a low rating or a broken screen, but only because of something in my specs that I need to renew or something. Although sometimes it can give you ****** ratings, it doesn't mean you can't absolutely play a game. Like my graphics card, it isn't all that bad, but it gives me a bad rating because of it. It's not really sucky, really, it's just that it came with the laptop. Some home gaming graphics thing.

 

I asked Kintaro what his specs were. He leaves us all in the dust, especially with that RAID drive.

But he uses his for 3D rendering and stuff, doesn't he? I use mine to play WoW and a few Steam games.

 

Yeah, meaning he needs it. But it is still humbling in a pissing contest of specs.
