... granted, it was only Coke... But it was a funny idea!!! The bartender stared at me and my friends quite a bit, though... Yeah, we were on a bike trip for the schools Sports day, and after pedaling for fifteen kilometers with a injured hip, busted gears and half empty tires, the teacher decided that we deserved some refreshments, since we had another ten kilometers to go... My God, my legs and back are aching now X_X

    xD been there done that.

    On the plus side being involved gives you a great feeling, awww I miss my old Theatre group ;_;

Didn't have the confidence for choir, which is odd since I had no problem singing in shows o_O

That is weird... I don't have enough confidence to sing solo's, so choir is perfect for me... And theatre is so much fun! But I can be in the group for only a year more, two max... :nono:

I have sang solo a few times xD sometimes for theatre, sometimes for other shows.

Theatre is most fun I adore it xDDD I love everything about it <3 I liked acting but I also loved the technical side of it too. I liked directing and I especially loved being stage crew :'>

I like to go see performances too XD lmao I am such a theatre geek D:

Awww enjoy it whilst you can then hun, it is something that sticks with you forever.

Oh man, acting and directing is so much fun! And I go to see musicals a lot, my dad works for a lot of the big shows...

And if I get lucky, I might go study acting somewhere, so maybe I don't have to give up theatre so soon! But that might be a bit unlikely, it's almost impossible to get to the Theatre Polytechnic in Helsinki... That sucks...

*looks at original post* Damn we got off topic XD

omg you are so lucky D:

xD a lot of smaller places let you study Theatre too you know, you don't have to aim straight away for the top place. Of course it is nice to aim so high but maybe if you look into other places too you will find somewhere that you love just as much. Keep a foot in the business too so to speak, do you have a local thetre to you? Experience is always a great thing if you seriously consider going into something :>

You're 16, you still have a LOT of options and a lot of choice with what exactly you wish to do <3

Actually, there's only two places in Finland where you can study Theatre/Acting... But I'm thinking of moving away from here anyways... And I'm taking courses at the local theatre too, I'm just living in a small town... >.<

But yeah, I've still got everything ahead of me, I've got some time to think of future options... And I'm already freaking out thinking about them XD

Hehee, you definitely have a better reason to freak out, I've still got a year and a half left of high-school! It just sucks how they put so much pressure on the students here, the teachers start talking about the 'writings' (big exam at the end of high-school) when you're in eighth grade... x_x

    xDDD I know right.

:\ schools across the world put way too much pressure on their students now. It is the education system full stop. They fail to see that putting so much pressure on kids is actually not that great a thing. They have this idea that to make kids succeed they need to push push and push. What they actually need to do is see the students as individuals and work on how to get each student to succeeed to the best of their ability.

    >_> sorry, I could rant for hours on the education system.

Man, that's so true... They make school seem like a competition, you just have to beat the other students to succeed... Argh, I'm so sick of studying! But there's nothing else I could do, unless I wanted to live on the streets... I think I'll pass on that >.<

Yeah sleeping on the streets wouldn't be such a good idea xDDDDD

You are right, they do make everything so competitive, ok so in the real world when we grow up life isn't all fun and games, but damn sometimes it seems like kids can't be kids anymore, they are born as mini adults. I don't want to waste all my time whilst I am young rushing towards being another boring adult who lives in an office, I want to live <3

I can just see it, to9o, the rebel hobo who just couldn't stay in school for another two years! >XD

It's kinda sad, I haven't really felt like a kid since I was eleven... Except in speech and drama, playing kids games is so fun there! And it's just awful to watch kids these days, I was reading in some school-magazine about a eight-year-old girl who claimed she had had seven boyfriends already... That's just sick, what's the rush to start dating so early? We've got all the time for that later, why not just enjoy childhood while we can?

    I agree with you 100%

From a very early age we are pushed into being adults, the media and fashion industry don't exactly help this.

Kids games are seen as immature and they are constantly told they need to grow up and behave responsibly.

It makes me laugh, we are pushed into being adult but then as soon as we are adult all we want is to be able to go back and live like children. There is something about the innocence of youth that you never appreciate until you lose it. We all have to grow up, that is inevitable, it makes no sense that we can't be allowed to enjoy the time when we are more free.

<3 it is partially because of my opinions that my family members who have children get annoyed with me as I bring the kids home covered in mud and slime after we go on adventures >____>

XD I don't think I will ever be able to fully grow up.

I totally agree with you and I feel the same way. I'm still a kid at heart.

I already miss acting like a kid, I haven't been really doing things considered childish ever since we moved from my childhood home... Most people consider me more as an adult already, so I don't really have a chance to do somewhat stupid, childish things anymore... Except on the internet! No-one really knows me, apart from my sisters, so I can goof around almost as much as I like!!! >XD Internet is a life-saver sometimes...
