I'd say I am glad. Extatic even. There is just one issue I have with it: The fact that it is on the PS3 and not both it and the WiiU. I loved the two games. They were some of the best in the series. But look. Both were on Nintendo platforms and did very well on Nintendo platforms. So plain out moving from one console where all the fans are to another where a majority didn't really experience the game. At least make if for both.

I'll be sure to buy this. I LOVED ToS and it's probably the game to first introduce me to the whole Tales games.

Then again, I did NOT like DotNW. That game made me wanna chuck it out the window for a lot of reasons. But just for the sake of good times, I shall buy it to play Tos and enjoy such great memories I had with it c:

I never really admittedly played Tales of Symphonia myself. But having heard about this, I looked it up. I would now like to play it, especially since I don't have a Gamecube/Wii anymore and don't plan on buying a Wii U anytime soon.

I know in the past Square when they went to Sony they brought a lot of the old games and did a few remakes to them and sold them on the PSOne. I hope this is the same thing and I get to experience it.

ToS is one of my favorite games. i believe anyone who loves a good story, a great battle system and good voice acting, with some humor implied during fights, and cutscenes should buy this game. it has everything a good RPG should have and it makes it so u never wanna put it down.

For some reason I didn't see this coming (though I should've, since Namco seems to be re-releasing their previous Tales games now). It makes me wonder if there'll be any changes in the game like the PS3 version of Vesperia, or if it's just going to be a port like Abyss was on the 3DS. If it's just a port then I won't have to worry about anything since I've still got the first game.

i still have the first game too, and i have ToS2 but i couldnt even play ToS2 because of how the controls were :/. but since itll b for the ps3 im sure theyll make it alot better :). and itll be updated graphics, not that itll take away from the game but itll run more smoothly instead of the little hiccups that occured due to the GC limited graphic capabilities.

Hopefully so. I just really don't see the point of buying a game you already have, with the only difference being the graphics =/ . For example, I heard rumors that OoT on the 3DS was going to have some new dungeons, boss fights, and the old dungeons being remade, which actually made me consider buying it. Then when it was released, I looked the information up more to verify these rumors, only to be disappointed. The rumors turned out to be false. So if I brought it, it would essentially be like buying the GC version again, only with prettier graphics. Other than that, the benefit of re-releases would be to allow players who don't own the previous consoles they were released on to play them. If they're to re-release ToS for the PS3 internationally, I'd hope they include the content in the PS2 version since other regions didn't have access to it.

It'll definitely have the Japan only content of the PS2 version, at least

I never got the chance to play it as a kid, even though I really really wanted the game, but this'll be a great way for me to finally get into it. This is pleasant news indeed.
