Takeharu Ishimoto and Tsuyoshi Sekito Confirmed to be Working on KH III Soundtrack!

Thanks to an interview from Famitsu with Tetsuya Nomura and Takeharu Ishimoto (composer of Final Fantasy Dissidia NT), we now know more progress is being made on Kingdom Hearts III's soundtrack. Along with Yoko Shimomura, Takeharu Ishimoto and Tsuyoshi Sekito (composer for Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children) are also working on the music for the soundtrack of the game.

An excerpt from the interview about this has been translated by Zephyr from KHInsider:

So Nomura-san, do you have any final words for Ishimoto-san?

Nomura: Ishimoto-san has worked on several songs for the KINGDOM HEARTS series, and both he and Sekito-san are involved with KINGDOM HEARTS III. There are more songs than before, and we've reached the point where we have to ask for songs for important battles, so I hope to continue this collaboration. Even in the future, I thank you for your continued support. (laughs)

What do you think about this new information for the soundtrack? Are you a fan of what both Takeharu Ishimoto and Tsuyoshi Sekito have done so far for both Kingdom Hearts and the Final Fantasy series?

That's exciting. I like the musical variety we can get when multiple composers work on a game. Just look at XV's OST and it's DLC songs. Great stuff.

Makes sense. Sekito and Ishimoto contributed to the soundtracks of both BBS and DDD, and a lot of it was good imo (such as Vanitas's theme).
