I have table for a thread i'm working on putting up, but when i preview it it just turns into a list. is there some way i can get the table up on the new site? or will i just have to re-edit it into three lists??

also- my spoiler buttons keep ending up into threes. the first two buttons there is nothing there and the third has my spoiler. is there some way i can get rid of the first two? it's not like i'm putting [spoiler*][/*spoiler] three times either. i just entere it once.

    Regarding the spoilers thing...
Has something to do with using color.

What code are you using for the tables?

Idk how to do coding. I originally was working on it on open office and copied everything over to the post box. It shows up as a table in the box but then doesn't when i click preview. I've never learned how to do coding, but i wish i did. I feel like it would make things so much easier.

Well, if you need any help with coding something, feel free to let me know!

    The table code on KHV goes like this;

    [TABLE][TR][TD]This is a standard cell in a table.[/TD][/TR][/TABLE]

    result...

This is a standard cell in a table.

This help page may help you understand things a bit more. I think it's just having a hard time translating the OpenOffice table into BBCODE.

Edit; Also, is there any way you can show an example of what happens with the list?

Thanks Jayn. I'll try to paste it over on my phone. Our computer is all bugged out and i was trying to get it done at the library today but i ran out of time and into problems as you've seen. I'm not sure if it'll do the exact same this as when it was on the computer but basically the table was like 3x15 and it showed in the text box and the preview just had it in a single column list the items going from left to right top to bottom.

    Part A part B part C
Plenteous Smiling Hypha <- this is all supposed to be in the same row but it looked like this:
    Part A
    part B
    part C
    Plenteous
    Smiling
    Hypha

I'm being a bit of a derp here, so I'm not sure if I got it, but is it supposed to look like this?

    Part A Part B Part C
    Plenteous Smiling Hypha

    If so:
    [TABLE][TR]
    [TH]Part A[/TH] [TH]Part B[/TH] [TH]Part C[/TH] [/TR]
    [TD] Plenteous Smiling Hypha [/TD]
    [/TABLE]

    If not, then this?

Part A Part B Part C Plenteous Smiling Hypha

    If so:

    [TABLE][/COLOR][/FONT]
    [TD]Part A Part B Part C
    Plenteous Smiling Hypha [/TD]
    [/TABLE]

In addition to Jayn's help, our table bbcode follows the html. All you have to do is change the < to [ , and > to ]. W3Schools has a lovely guide.

Lol it's okay dear. The first one would be right. And thank you again. The: part A, b, c; was like the 'titles' for each column and the rest was just words in each row. Hopefully all of this will make things go a lot faster, and smoother, tomorrow when i re-attempt to post the rp for like the third time. =]
