    The sword and shield are pretty cool, but the staff can give you a useful mp powerup if you choose it.

    My sister always went with the staff because she liked magic but I prefer strength- it is a very hard choice but I spent ages looking at what abilities you get in which order and then decided for the sword but when it's just the bats I always go with the wand- I know weird.
