Mya raised an eyebrow. "Really? 30? You don' look even close to 24 years..." She shrugged. "Call me stupid for thinking this, but I don't think you're the person you act like. You act like you're all cold and evil by killing off other players. True that, but it doesn't seem...right on you. It's like as if you don't belong in that situation. I don't think you should strive for that path. Even if you are what you say. People change you know? Just because person does a certain action doesn't mean that single action defines them. That's what's wrong with our society today." She leaned back and looked up at the sky. "People are too easy to judge. They assume what they glance at first." She looked back at him and smiled. "When I see you, I don't see a criminal or murderer. I see a good person. A person who's misunderstood."

 

Fang had led Kaito to where Scarlet was going to be at. "Well, if you want to join, now's your chance." He said which had Kaito head there. which was where he noticed Hayden there. "You joining too?" He asked upon getting there.

 

"So...I don't look my age or my job... Marvelous." Closing the message and with a few different pokes at his menu, he sent his email to Mya. "Well then...I suppose you wouldn't have a problem if you remained in my contacts list even if I went back to PKing." On the assumption she would refuse, he pulled a common dagger from his menu, equipping it and taking her hand in his. "It's definately a problem for me to stay green. I know your friends and you believe all that stuff about Red Players...us being the ones to decide to stay orange and keep setting that timer back." Holding the dagger over her open palm, the tip an inch above her hand, "But I do this for the safety of those in this game. A few months back...PoH met some kids trying to save a few others...he and his followers...will never forget what happened that day. All the games and tricks...are PoH's thing. I...would much rather do things on equal terms." Despite his words, he stabbed the dagger through Mya's hand and his own. His cursor blinked orange. "It was nice to see someone care about me for once. Even if you are just a kid. But you won't be seeing me for a while."

 

She winced as the dagger pierced her hand. "I don't care what my friends think of you. They don't believe in who you are. You don't have to do this Masa...you're already been attacked. It'll only be a matter of time before they decide to do it again. And what if I'm not there to get you next time? I-I don't want to see you die...I've seen so many people die. I don't need another...death..." She buried her face into his shoulder and started to sob. "This isn't necessary! Everyday, people die! I don't want to see another person die! Not Masaru! Not Star! Not anyone! Not you! I don't want to leave this game knowing all those I cared about haven't made it back! Even one person would wreck me! Don't be that person! P-please..." Her voice choked up as she started to cry harder, not caring about the pain in her hand anymore, but the pain in her heart.

 

Masamune discarded the dagger entirely and patted her back, trying to ease her tears. "You don't have to cry for my sake, Mya." Feeling bad now that he'd regained his old status, "Either way...you know I'm not going to die so easily. You don't think I sit around all day and slack off, do you? No, I'm out there training just as hard as your friends. Mya..." Trying to explain would only confuse her and complicate his situation even more.

 

She sniffed and rubbed her eyes. "S-sorry..." She sat back. "It's just...it pains me on the inside every time I see you with a orange or red cursor above your head. It's something I should never see...but I do and it hurts me that there are people who won't fully grasp the reality they are in now..."

 

He frowned, "Mya...the term Red Player is what they give PKs even if our cursor is orange simply because we spill blood. Anyway...you needn't feel bad for me or anyone else about the color of my cursor. I do this to keep myself safe. Only other, very stupid, PKs will attack me with an orange cursor. Your friends and people like them would never kill someone. That's why it's my job to find and eliminate those that would." Setting her back, away from him, he bent to meet her gaze evenly, "You will promise me you'll keep yourself safe...and far away from me. No if's and's or but's, Mya. Unless I contact you...I am, and forever will be, a PK. Even if I won't kill you...someone in the guild will. And...your mentioning leaving this game...I'm guessing you're going to try to find me." The ridiculous idea made him sadly happy. "You'll see me the second we all leave...all you have to do is turn on the TV. I'm sure they won't give me a day to gain my strength back."

 

Maya gave him a long sad look and then nodded. "Alright...but then promise me this then. Promise me that you'll contact me before we beat the game. I don't care whether you're a PK or not, I want to know that you're still alive before we return ok?" She held out her hand to him. He doesn't mean it does he? Being a PK forever? I will change his mind one day...

 

Taking her hand, he gave her a reassuring smile. "You bet. And...um, this is going to sound a little selfish...but...will you...come see me in the real world? I-I mean...I'll probably be in prison but...that's what visiting hours are for. And...I'd be pretty lonely if no one came to see me. I'm sure my parents won't come." If he could...he'd have already served his sentence while they were here but getting jailed in a game wouldn't atone for the murders of the people in the real world. That much, he'd have to do in person.

 

She smiled and nodded. "I will. I'll probably try visiting you every time I can. I just wish they could count this as the time you spent for your crimes. But I will try to fight for your release."

 

(OOC: I'm sorry for not posting anything- even though I've 'watched' this thread, I haven't been getting very many notifications.)

After much turmoil in Sioto's mind; a part wanting to leave the first level, and another wanting to just stay, and let things continue as it was. Eventually, though, Sioto made up his mind. He would explore a bit more of what this game had to offer.
He neared the Warp Gate, and went over the various levels that had been cleared.
Is that 'tournament' still even going on? He thought, realizing it had been too long to take any course of action, By now, it's probably over. Sioto felt defeated at that, but still selected a random upper level.
"Even though I can't see the tournament...might as well as enjoy the rest of the game, while I still have the heart to do so." He said out loud, again attracting the attention of the few people near him.

 

Laughing whole-heartedly, Masamune shook his head, "You don't have to do anything but come see me." Letting go of her and backing away, he felt his smile drop from his lips and waved bye to her. "We'll meet again in this game. I'm sure of it." Hustling off down the road, he pulled back up the hood of his cloak catching sight of the Laughing Coffin emblem on the underside of his wrist. It will be a long time before I can see you again...but next time...I'll have taken care of those threats on my life.

Shiina, after a long time of wandering around the arena with everyone signing up for the guild, made her way to the Warp Gate. Where would she go? Training on this level would just get her killed but the lower levels held less appeal for her. Where Masamune went, she would follow...for her friend. "Alright! It's time to train!"

 

She gave him a small smile and waved back at him. "I'll be expecting it." After he was long gone, she sighed and stood up. If only everyone else understood him like I did, he wouldn't be in this situation...or maybe I'm just stupid following a path that leads to nothing. She opened up her menu and stared at her contacts. Friends eh? I wish I could say that too. With almost 2 years of no contact, she finds it hard to believe. "What the hell...I might as well start up something." She headed towards back into town.

 

"It'll make things a whole lot easier." Kaito replied returning the fist bump. "So, any idea where Scarlet is?" He asked.

 

Scarlet turned and noticed two people were trying to get her attention. Going over to them she realized that they wished to join her guild which brought upon a smile. "Well, of course you two can join. I enjoyed fighting with you by the way, it was pretty impressive stuff." As she spoke she opened up the menu and sent guild invites to the two before her - Kaito and Hayden wasn't it? - and placed a hand on her waist.

"Oh, hey Fang. You showing around these two or what?"

 

"Thanks." Kaito replied, before guild request menu appear before him. which he quickly accepted the request.

"Well, this one in particular." Fang replied, patting on Kaito shoulder. "Still we ended up with two new members. I'd say that's good." After seeing the both of them fight, they would make pretty good aditions.

 

Masaru ate and nodded at Star's words of wanting along with time as well a offer to stay at her place or go back to his house, it was true they were both safe zones but the company was a advantage, he wondered if he would survive this virtual hell countless times but he pushed on cause if he were overwhelmed by such questions, he'd never move on and live long enough.

"Your company is a better option than sleeping alone, and plus, it saves time waiting for the other to join up for the quest." He said to her, it was a good answer, but the fact was, he would be sleeping in the same house with a woman who wasn't his sister or mother for that matter, so it was a quite surreal experience to say the least in that regard.
