"Those rumors are true. He did." Kaito replied. Shiina didn't seem like the type who would fight someone for revenge, especially since she's willing to take a hit for her familiars. Still her partner was Scarlet and she was a good fighter. Hopefully there would win. Either way, he was rooting for them. Even if he wasn't shouting it like Hayden was.

Kuroi watched as Ittoki invited the other Player to their table. "Kuroi." he said, nodding to the other Player. "You are?" Kuroi tried his best to not sound cold or mean, but he couldn't tell. He'd just have to wait and see their reaction.

 

"Then why waste your time with him?" Scarlet asked, jumping back once more and while watching as Sol took a blow from the wolf as it was thrown into him. Would have been an easy dodge, but since he stood his ground the wolf was able to come off with little damage and get back on its feet, if able.

And then she saw it, a chance. That PK was stuck with one of the wolves on his back and seemingly injured so she gestured to the raven, having it swoop down and aim its beak to the ribbon. During this time she put her guard up, not making another move against Mya just yet.

 

The one known as Kuroi asked him what his name was. Should he tell him? No, not now...Maybe some other time. He'd say his name was the same as his username.
"Name's Writhlax."

 

Writh...lax...? What type of name is that? Kuroi thought to himself. Well this is an online game, so I guess people can name themselves whatever they want. "Nice the meet you... Writhlax-san." Kuroi said, reaching out his hand.

Ittoki noticed that Natsuki had brought their food over. He immediately shouted, "I-TA-DA-KI-MA-SU~~~!!" and shoved a huge bite of japanese curry in his mouth. "Uwahhh~~~ This is amazing!!" Ittoki savoured the food. "Natsuki's cooking can literally KILL IRL, but here, it's so YUMMY!!!" Ittoki took another bite. "Ah!" he looked up at Kuroi, "Ya wanna bite?"

Kuroi took a sip of his coffee. Then he picked up a spoon and took a bite of Ittoki's curry. He was right. It was delicious. Natsuki-san must have maxed out his Cooking level.

Ittoki looked at Writhlax, "Do you want a bite, Writh-kun?"

 

Masamune, against better judgement, ducked as he noticed the raven diving for his ribbon. With the weight of the wolf on his back, it took more energy needed to push himself back to his feet. Lifting his sword, he shrugged, "I hope you didn't like this dog..." Plunging his sword through his abdomen and into the wolf on his back, he relished the sight of tears creeping into Shiina's eyes. Her hands lifted to her mouth to suppress her coming scream. "Aw...did the mutt-breath mean more to you than you led on?" he mocked. He hated himself for it, but without a second's hesitation, he'd slipped into that character. Becoming the PK that PoH had met and chosen to create a guild with. "Y-you...monster! You'd injure yourself just to hurt Mina?" Swallowing the pain that followed as he pulled his blade from his own gut and the wolf falling to the ground behind him. "Yes...that's what killers do. I'd maim, injure and so much worse to my own body...if only it means I get to see you feel pain. Not physical pain that can be easily remedied with a potion or meds...but emotional pain."

Shiina backed away from him, Kuro rolling to his paws and jumping between them. She was without her spear...Mina was out...and Masamune was living up to his name. "Is that why....they call you Kin-Slayer? You'd hurt your friends...and yourself...just to make someone else suffer? Someone who doesn't mean a damn thing to you?" She looked to Mya fighting Scarlet. "What about her? You entered this tournament with her...why? Because it was required? Because you want to hurt her too? I feel sorry for you...Masamune..."

She spoke his name like she knew something... Her words buzzed around in his head. Shifting to see Mya out of the corner of his eye, her scowled. What did it matter to him if she liked him or not? What? What did I just...say? Likes me? Why would I care...about something like that? "That's enough..."

 

Mya looked over at Masamune to see him stab Mina and catch parts of his talk to Shiina. After hearing Scarlet's question to her, it struck a large feeling of guilt within her. She's right...why am I spending my time with him? Something no one else would do? I...I don't know... She tightened her grip on her sword. Because she believed there was something else to him than what pain he commits? Because she wanted to give him another change at being a 'normal' person?

 

Mya's silence proved one thing at least, the girl wasn't sure why she was there either. This opened Scarlet to thinking that perhaps it would be okay to focus her efforts on the PK, as both players over there seemed to have their health bar in the orange now.

Rushing in she slide up behind Masamune before spinning to speed up her sword as it went in for a slash attack. Sure Shiina seemed like she needs this chance for herself, but standing idly by pained her too much so the need to act kicked in. Plus Sol was still over here, and it was impossible to leave her pet who acted like a family member alone and vulnerable.

 

Angry now...Masamune turned in time to block Scarlet. "I think that's quite enough of the soul searching." Scowling at Scarlet he shoved all his weight onto his sword and shoved her back. Slightly turning his body, he ducked under Shiina's closed fist and punched his fist into her gut just below her ribcage. She coughed up only saliva, her gaze unfocused and the breath knocked out of her. Her health fell into red as he let her drop to the ground. "I don't really like being asked questions...and I especially don't like when I'm being questioned when I'm being sincere for once."

 

Mya snapped her head towards the direction of Masamune and cursed to herself. Dammit. I was caught off guard... She then slid behind Masamune and stood in a defensive stance. "Sorry that I was caught off guard there."

 

He shook Kuroi's hand, then looked at the curry. That sure does look good...Then Ittoki asked if Writhlax wanted a bite.
"Alright." He grabbed a spoon, then ate some of the curry. There were simply no words to describe how good the food was.
"This is amazing!"

 

"Isn't it?" Ittoki smiled. He had a grain of rice stuck to his cheek.

Kuroi pointed to his cheek, saying, "Ittoki, you got a bit of rice there..." Kuroi tried to hide his grin.

"Hm? Oh wups!" Ittoki wiped it off. "Hehe..." Ittoki smiled sheepishly.

 

He couldn't help but grin, watching them. This was like the first time he made his first friend.

 

Natsuki-san came up to their table and took out his notepad from his apron pocket. "Sorry about not taking your order yet... It's a bit busy, but now the rush has settled a bit. Writhlax-san, would you like anything to eat or drink? We have lots of yummy cakes and dessert coffees. I recommend QUARTET NIGHT. It's a rich chocolate mousse decorated with white chocolate squares, painted maroon, light blue, lavender and dark green. Many of the female customers love it because it reminds them of an IRL idol group." Natsuki glanced at Ittoki. Ittoki chuckled. Natsuki looked back at Writhlax, "Just name it, and I'll make it!"

Ittoki moved his empty plate of curry aside and switched it with his RAINBOW DREAM. This was a colorful collection of various bubble teas in glasses. Red was strawberry flavoured, blue was mint, yellow was pineapple, purple was taro, orange was mango, pink was peach and green was green tea. Ittoki always ordered one of these when he visited Natsuki's cafe because this was designed based off their IRL idol group, STARISH. It always reminded Ittoki of his life IRL, which he missed a lot.

 

Having finished Shiina, he pointed his sword at Scarlet, "Surrender now and I won't embarrass you, "Guild Leader."

 

Seeing Shiina's health fall into the red Scarlet revealed a speed that remained hidden until now, using it to get to her partner's side before anything bad could happen to her. Kneeling beside the small girl Scarlet looked up to the PK with a blank stare. "I was not planning on winning in the end, being the host and all. But man do I want to fight you, in a real match someday. Until then though...I shall tend to this one."

Her expression then changed as she began laughing. "How funny though, thinking I would ever feel embarrassment at your hands. It's already a trivial emotion as it is." Haha.

After that those two were declared the winners and another series of boos ensued. It wasn't nice, being the loser to a PK in front all these people. But when she said she planned on losing anyway it was the truth, though it would have been nice if it had been at the hands of another. Especially with her and her familiars still in the green health wise, as surely they could keep fighting as they were. Victory wasn't even an impossibility, even with her partner down.

Oh well, hardly important now.

Leaving the stage she made way for the next match to begin. Some random players would fight before the final match began, which involved Mya and Masamune vs Star and Masaru.
