Sword Art Online: Side Stories

Mya sighed, listening to him. It was strange. She didn't want to leave him after the tournament. Whether it was for sorrow or regret is still unknown. There was something about him that made her want to stay by his side, killer or not."Masamune...whats your motivation behind all of this?

 

Masamune was taken aback by the question. Falling back on a dismissive personality, he waved his hand, "I suspect you mean the tornament? I do it because it sounded fun. It's been awhile since I got to fight for fun instead of to kill... I don't have much to motivate me...and something doesn't have to exist to motivate me. I do things because I can and because I want to... I can't say I enjoy doing what I do exactly... Most of the...uh, unjust...or maybe that's not the right word for it...well the murders you hear about that my name isn't involved in is generally done by PoH...the co-founder of my guild." Nervously looking back to the match, Masamune suppressed what he could only identify as some sort of blush from rising into his cheeks. "Is this your way of trying to probe me about a past...a bit of feeling you think I have?"

 

Star saw them dodge and strike back. There agility was note worthy for sure, but she knew she could do better. While Masaru clashed with them, she sent out a dagger and threw it at them, then another, and another. Once the three were there she grabbed her sword and charged them. I thought came to her mind, Masaru's sword had holes, the perfect strategy, she threw a nail sized needle at them as well, because of its size and its shape, it would travel much faster than any of her daggers. The sharp object passed right threw the hole in Masaru's sword and was aimed right at Ittki's face.

 

Ittoki saw a flash and instantly flinched, the needle scratching the side of his forehead. He jumped back, wiping at it. "Tch."

Kuroi slashed at Masaru in a star pattern. He swung his katana so fast, all people could see were blue streaks. Masaru couldn't have had time to react. Kuroi grinned, the bloodthirsty gleam returning to his eyes. "Hehehe... DIE! DIE DIE DIE!" he giggled maniacally. Kuroi completed his combo, stabbing at Masaru's chest.

Ittoki stared in awe as Kuroi used his special skill. "Whoa..." Then he looked back at Star. "It's MY turn!" Ittoki shouted. He drew six throwing knives and whipped them at Star. Then he ran at her again, activating Flash Hit and punched her in the stomach. He tensed his arm and a hidden knife buried itself into her torso.

OOC: I'm sorry guys...

 

Star negated the projectiles only to notice and knife in her torso. "Huh. This is pain. never knew." He also forgot to notice the dagger in her hand. She sent it flying into his back, kicking him away, and pulled her sword out. "I didn't want to release this so early. But I have no choice now.' Her sword began to glow and it slowly transformed into a stunning bow. "This skill is called bow sword. It draws from my items and shoots the daggers I have right at you with intense speed. No agility can dodge it. Not that I have seen at least." She pulled back the bow shooting projectiles at Ittiki. One, not two, possibly three had been shot in under a few seconds right into Ittoki's chest. "I cant let you win!"

"Guha--!" Ittoki flew backwards from the force of the projectiles. He clutched his chest. "Damn..." He muttered, "I...I have..." Ittoki clenched his fists in frustration. "I HAVE TO BE STRONGER!!!!!!" he roared. Suddenly a burst of light came from Ittoki's body. "AGHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!" He became engulfed in red flames. The flames died down, but a red aura remained. Ittoki glared up at Star, his red eyes glowed. "RAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!" Ittoki charged at Star once again, his stats spiking 150%. Ittoki's speed made it seem like he teleported in front of Star. He grabbed his two knives and began hacking at Star, with no mercy. More and more of his attacks landed on its target, many of which were critical hits.

 

Masaru was stabbed through teh torso, gagging a bit as his HP was going down but thanks to his Mastered Battle Healing, he was healing 600 HP every 10 seconds and he grabbed Kuroi's wrist, effectively holding him in place despite having a sword lodged in him him and gave a serious look. "Thanks for all the damage, time to pay back in full, Absorption....Slash!" He cried out as his sword glowed red and he slashed upon him, deaing a massive amount of damage courtesy of taking so many hits, plus there were so close together, Kurou wouldn't dodge it and he let go of Kuroi's wrist and kicked him in the stomach to send him flying as he grabbed the sword in his, yanking it out as a red hole was shown he had damage and then his Golden Armour shattered, it's durabilty gone and he only wore his normal clothes from Star's shop.

"What a shame... Oh well." he muttered, but Kuroi certainly taken a big amount of damage, possibly in the Red Zone if he was lucky and he noticed Star was being assasulted and he ran to save her, thanks to the bulky armor being gone, he was faster and he brought Kuroi's stolen Katana and Dream Eater in a Cross Guard in front of Star, blocking Ittok's rampage.

"Sorry for being late Star, had a bit of a psycho moment." he apologized to his partner and pushed Ittoki back, his new skill was in cooldown to say the least but he had two weapons to wield now, because if he thrown Kuroi's sword away, it would be destroyed and pixelated like items.

"It's two on one here Ittoki, I suggest you surrender quietly." He said to him.

 

She shook her head."Forgive me if I sound nosy. I am always curious about people's pasts. Looking at it, it's kinda funny about you. You don't look like the type that finds enjoyment in killing. Paron for asking, but why did you join the guild and why won't you leave? Why-" She stopped herself and shook her head."I'm sorry for asking so much about you..." It's just that you weren't the man you were a year ago...

 

Match One Winners: Star and Masaru due to forfeit.

Match Ten: Team 28: Shiina and Scarlet vs Team 11: Hayden and Kaito

I'll give someone else the chance to post first and start the match.

 

"Ahhh..... We lost...." Ittoki was depressed in a corner.

"Ittoki..." Ittoki heard Kuroi's footsteps behind him.

"Go away... I'm sulking." He said this pouting with a (T3T) face. Ittoki's eyes were teary.

Kuroi knelt down soundlessly. He reached his hand out and put it on Ittoki's head, patting him like a doggy. Ittoki's eyes widened and he turned his face. Kuroi was smiling. Ittoki glomped Kuroi, crying.
"It's okay. " Kuroi kept patting Ittoki's head, comforting his friend. "Hey." Kuroi pushed Ittoki back lightly. "It's just that we weren't strong enough."

Ittoki wiped away his tears and clenched his fist. "Yeah that just means we gotta train!"

The two of them headed over to the reserved area for the participating Players to watch the fights. They sat down just as the next fight started.

 

~before the other matches~

Masaru breathed a deep breath as ittoki forfeited the team and returned Kuroi's Katana before he went to find his partner and he walked with Star to the Spectator's Box to watch the other fights. "Guess I'll need a new outfit before we fight again." he said in a embarassed tone, he wnated something light at least, bulky armour was alright but he wnated to emphazise on speed with Dream Eater, perhaps he could ask Star to forge him a coat or something.

As soon as Team 28 and 11 were called to face off, he decided to watch this one.

 

"Yeah." Kaito replied. True their opponent was the guild leader of Moonlit Sword, but they could've been fighting Masamune instead. "Best of luck to yah."

 

Masamune frowned at her words, "Joined? Leave? I'm sorry, my dear, I believe you've misunderstood me. PoH and myself created this guild...and I'm very proud of it, despite what I might say that's negative towards it. I'd never choose to leave something that I created." Hearing the match called to a close, he huffed, "I knew those two didn't have it in them to actually fight like they were going to kill them... I should've spared everyone the trouble and killed that whimp when I had the chance."

Shiina nervously chewed on her lip as she entered the arena. Adjusting her grip on her spear, she inhaled deeply. "Okay...nothing to be frightened of...th-they won't finish us off. Alright....Mina, Kuro, l-let's do our best." Her furry partners barked in agreement.

 

"Oh so you created it then? I apologize then." She observed the fight since she felt she was annoying him with pointless questions. As the match ended, she heard him talk and she frowned."You know, killing people isn't always the answer. You may not see it now, but every death is a stain placed on you. As you kill more and more, the stains grow more and more. It's then the killer snaps. Look, I'm not telling you to stop killing and make a change in your life. I'm saying you need to think about the pain you cause to others. Selfish or not, anyone can understand this fact.

 

"Oh? So if you or those down there had the chance to kill me or PoH...you don't think they'd take the chance?" He shifted his stance, "I understand the fact that it causes pain...I simply don't care. True, I'm no old man here but I'm not exactly innocent in either reality or this world." Shutting his mouth, he glared down at the people in the arena, unwilling to say anything about anything.

 

Mya sighed and looked away from him. It was true. If they could, the group would try to kill him since now they have the girl that wanted revenge on him. Still...she couldn't take either side. Murder was wrong, but another murder won't justify it. Who am I kidding. He hasn't changed at all I suppose...I'm too optimistic. For now, she looked back at the battle.

 

Masaru looked to Star, he knew she could forge weapons and armour as evidenced by her shop, he didn't have as much of a high level in forging either, he would mainly have to get his armour from drops, especially when he was a Soloer as to give him the bonus of Last Attack, but he doubted they could leave for him to get new armor and his other items were just the same Heavy Weighted scheme, bulky and slow but providing a good defense.

"Star, have you got anything that's light and very durable? I think I'm going to need to emphasize on agility in the next round we fight, that way, I can fully utilize your new sword, Dream Eater to it's full potenial because most of my other armor is just heavy aand bulky to the point where it would slow me down." He said to her.

 

Chuuya watched on as the fight went until the winners were finally decided, Star and Masru. Even the fight being a forfeit, they still won, and they did pretty well for themselves. A few more fights had gone on before he decided to send both Star and Masru a congratulations message on winning their match. He pulled up his menu and typed in their names and sent them the message...Congratulations to the both of you on your win in the tournament. You both put up quite a fight in their......and he hit send.
