I agree that spoiling this is kinda lame.

I...have to wonder what is with the unexplained cynicism.

the first time we see spider-man he's holding captain america's shield

i have no interest in spider-man crossovers. his first appearance is in someone else's film, holding someone else's icon. please go away mcu.

It's like we've seen his origin story twice already in films and Marvel Studios wants his entrance to come in a big conflict like Punisher is getting in the Daredevil series.

Seriously I don't see how this is so bad. Sure I'd prefer a Netflix series for Spidey first but who's to say he won't get that after this?

    literally just personal preference
in my mind peter parker is a character who has a definitive beginning and a definitive ending and seeing the character being whored out in typical comic book fashion strung aimlessly from event to event to milk that spider man money makes my stomach turn a little. can't stop it, don't care enough to fight about it, just putting my perspective out there. ultimate spider-man is a good story and basically anything that's not that is going to upset me because it could be that.
and im bitter about what happened to sony's sm bc it was so close to ultimate. and im just done with marvel movies so

I get the first part, but...it's a comic book character, one of the biggest in the world (if not the biggest one), in an age where comic book movies have gotten (generally) very enjoyable and (in Marvel Studios' case) very profitable. I can't see Spider-Man being skipped in a time and place like this.

I think if anyone's to blame for how you feel about this, it's Sony. They screwed with Sam Raimi's third film to the point where it's got the reputation it has now (he admits to screwing up some things but stuff like Venom was forced on him), and then they tried following up with two films that completely misunderstand the character and canned it's foreseeable future (which I can't even be sad about because of how bad Amazing 1 and 2 are.)

Least there will always be the Ultimate series and whatever else you enjoy?

im just tired of it all. the only reason i say im done with marvel movies and not all cb movies is bc ive been waiting for a dc series and i want to see if its good.

Is it that Marvel's films are too constant for you?

I guess I've just been lucky that basically all of the MCU films have been enjoyable to me, with only one film that I'd call mediocre (Iron Man 2.) They have what I feel is a far better understanding of what fans want to see on the big screen (as well as the ability to competently show it) than DC has shown so far, but I am looking forward to Suicide Squad.

Also what do you guys think of the Spider-Man suit in this movie? I still prefer Amazing 2's, but this one is strong because of the moving eyes and different looking texture.

it's that these icons have become impossible to escape and i don't like seeing them being reduced to nothing more than icons in their success which is largely in part to marvel films but also television shows. call it burn-out but it's more like burn-out final mix +

Love everything about it but two things: the eyes (which I'm so excited about) didn't seem timed right with dialogue but that just may be me and the blackish strips on the costume; it just doesn't seem like something a teenager would design into his costume when becoming Spider-Man[DOUBLEPOST=1457655805][/DOUBLEPOST]
Well, up until Secret Wars anyway

    Ok that was very clever.

I think that was just trailer dialogue. Like I'm betting it'll be different in the actual film.

And yeah, the strips seem kind of random. Feels like they just added them to make it not look like the Sony suits.
