I'd go for DoC over 012. I like the idea of 012, but I also liked playing DoC, and while it was short, it was a fun shooter and I enjoyed it better than any other shooter like Call of Duty or other major shooters.

 

Did you enjoy it because it was a shooter though? Or for everything else that wasn't the shooting. Because the mechanics of DoC definitely aren't on par with one of the shooter mainstays

Yes, I actually did like it as a shooter. In fact, it was probably one of the only shooters I've enjoyed playing

 

Might I ask what exactly it is you enjoyed about that game that other shooters do not have?
I'm genuinely curious.

 

It did have more invisible walls than any other shooter. That's something, right?

 

I'm absolutely terrible at shooters and DoC is no exception. I was reluctant to pick Dissidia 012 either because, technically, I haven't played it. I got the original Dissidia when it came out and never bothered to pick up the sequel.

IX is the best game evur though

 

I wouldn't really be able to give you a clear defined answer. I mean, I liked the music in it a lot, and i liked the fact that you didn't have to grab a gun, find a spot to hide, shoot a bad guy, rinse and repeat. You could run around shooting them without having to take 5 minutes to kill a guy, and I also enjoyed the little melee here and there. The bosses were also a nice little touch too, because enough though it was a shooter, it still kept you moving around and thinking about positioning.
You might not believe me on this, but it's how I feel about the game. Some might argue there's nothing to it to make it a good game, but I always enjoyed it, especially to play it multiple times.
