Kingdom Hearts II Support Roxas (Who is not inferior to Riku)!!

You know, I could see Riku x Kairi as a possibility, even though slim, but I could never see Riku x Namine as a reality. Namine had no interest in Riku at all and made sure to help him after everything else and they had no real chemistry at all beyond they both were there later to help Sora and he let her live when DiZ said to 'get rid of her'. She also was 'only' interested in Sora at all and really even later, I thought she was 'nice' to Roxas but she was a lot keener on Sora in CoM. I could see Riku and Namine may as friends at best but she and he as a pair...only if she believed she'd never get with Sora and he had a loser complex. I could see Namine and Kairi having a slap fight over Sora and then the loser probably would go with Roxas because Riku has no luck. ...Having said that though that video kicked butt! It was funny. One of my new faves!

However, Riku...doesn't wear a hula skirt! It's a uh..thingie ...ok, it's a half skirt thing. And I'll just end this because I'm tired and rambling. whee~~

 

You know, I actually never really liked Riku too much -- in the first game, he was bent on killing his best friend, and in the second game, he sat there feeling sorry for himself. Or at least, that's what it felt like to me =/. Though I have to admit, he and Roxas have a lot more...Depth than some of the other characters XD.

I'm for Roxas in this, because I found him less...Obnoxious than Riku -shrug-. I will say this though, he was a lot better in Reverse\Rebirth, or what I had a chance to play of it -- I think Riku's just always been portrayed as kindof a dark character, but that character has emotions too ~ Just not as painfully obvious as Sora's, and not quite as obvious as Roxas's (though since Roxas is a Nobody, all of his are fake...=/).

 

But Roxas does have a heart.

Or at least in my opinion. He seems to have real anger and hatred towards DiZ (not unwarrented).

Also there is the Axel factor. I think what Axel felt was actually some of Roxas's heart affecting him.

As for Riku, I cannot say I particularly liked him. I ended up being tied up for months on his final form in KH1. Reverse/Rebirth was okay, but really outside that, Riku seems to have little personality. I actually saw more emotion from Riku replica, and when the fake has more detail than the real thing...

Well I am not getting a good message.

Also, isn't a half skirt called a Mini-skirt? :p

 

I really don't see what the big competition between Riku and Roxas is about. I see them both at a very equal status =/

Well, uh... I wasn't making a big deal about it on purpose exactly...
But still, I just don't think Riku is better than Roxas anymore... y'know...?
I like them both equally, too.

I Agree with you on everything but you have to admit that with the zips and symbols the puffy pants work.

 

Although I favor Riku more than Roxas, I don think he's inferior to him in any particular way...

Riku dresses like Kairi at a hula party...although she would probably use a coconut bra. I also like the way Roxas dresses compared to Riku, though...Overall, I like Roxas better than Riku.

I think Roxas' outfit is a bit more... casual...? Than Riku's in a way.
As in, you could wear his outfit to school or the mall or something and no one would stare at you funny. Much. Whereas with Riku's outfit... um, I think the obvious lack of a shirt underneath the vest would be a problem...
Roxas' shoes are cooler than Riku's too.

I thought Riku's outfit in KH2 was pretty regular and something I might even wear something close to. I didn't see it as standing out much at all really and could see it as more casual wear than about anyone else's in KH other than what Hayner, Pence and Olette were wearing. Roxas's clothes were not too normal to me considering his pants are really weird and he looks like they are wade drifters or something. However, the rest of Roxas's clothes were regular too.

Still...I fail to see why people miss the point in the post which is Roxas and Riku are equal in 'battle' terms or not. Why people like or hate Roxas or Riku isn't really the point at all here and just because someone hates one of them, doesn't mean the person would lose in a battle totally outright. =:/ Even if the person is irritating, they both can be seen to be very good fighters as can Sora, who wasn't even brought up really. Hating on someone doesn't determine the person sucks as a contender.

 

Depends. In a fight, Riku V.S. Roxas, I imagine Roxas, as he won before.

That is IF it is a fight between RIKU and Roxas, not Xehanort/Riku and Roxas.

Although the tide may have changed after Riku got WTtD.

 

Well, I'd say my preferences of Riku and Roxas are both equal. I was never a big fan of either, so basically, nothing for me to debate about. xP As for whose better in a fight for instance...I suppose that'd be Riku, so he did win...albeit, with the help of Xehanort's form...although that still counts as something I'll admit. lol

 

Depends. If Riku gets Xehanort in this fight, then does Roxy get Sora? After all that IS his completed form, and a form he ends up taking.

What was it that Riku said to Xehanort?

Ah yes I remember "You gave me all your power and I still lost to Sora"

Also, didn't Sora destroy Xehanort?

Hasn't Sora also won against Riku whenever it matered?

But Roxas only gets Sora if Riku gets Xehanort.

And we all know, without Xehanort, Roxas beat Riku.

Actually, I don't agree with that. Riku in the 2nd battle there seemed to be pretty at ease and was winning Roxas. Roxas was losing and shouting he was winning even before Riku changed. Roxas also was a more 'ferocious' combatant while Riku was just trying to get him captured. So really, Riku's fighting methods were fine against Roxas in the end for what he was trying to do. He only changed forms because he wanted to capture Roxas alive and not mess him up. He realized he could not possibly take Roxas down without them both getting seriously hurt so he made a critical choice which would win.

Also, Sora never really 'won' Riku alone in a one on one fight except in the Island spars and when he was messing around in LoD, which he was attacking Heartless at the same time as Sora and doing cheesy combos, and didn't look the least bit worn out. The only fight he had with Riku himself as himself was done with Goofy and Donald. The second fight was Ansem. This is not to say that I think Riku is 'superior' to Roxas or Sora, but to say he is definitely on par with them and can hold his own versus them. All 3 fighters are very impressive and have their areas they are gifted in and I don't think I can say one is better than the others.

 

Meh i'll always like roxas better propably cause the german voice of riku sucked and i love dual wielder >.<
