Scott glanced over at Adam and sighed lowly. He raised his own shirt enough to show his own tattoo as well as a large scar that he had gotten about a day ago during the little hunting trip with the Wendingo. "In case you two are wondering, this business can get a little nasty." He took off his own shirt for a moment and stared at it, putting a finger through the bloodstained hole in it. Hm... He glanced over at Luce. "Things are getting interesting." He muttered, smiling somewhat before he began to tug his shirt back on.

The man's wife never noticed the intruder in her house. She never noticed the intruder listening in on her phone conversation. She didn't even notice the closed fist that cut through the air, aimed at the side of her neck. What she did notice was the sudden pain of its impact, but a moment later that too ceased as she slipped into unconciousness. She saw nothing at all of her attacker.
That same hand snatched the phone that the woman had been holding as it fell with her, with the call quickly but also calmly being disconnected. The attacker then left the room again, waiting now for the man to enter his home and discover his wife's condition.

"The point is," Adam said before Lenny could explain, "That Lenny has been there. And you even got out?" He walked forward, putting his shirt back on as he did. "How?" A simple word, but countless questions were asked in that one syllable.
"Calm down, Mulligan, let me explain," Lenny said before taking a deep breath. "You see, as most of you may already know is that Azazel isn't your normal Demon. Besides his yellow eyes, there's certain things about him that are just...different. Every time he's around, cattle just up and die, clocks stop, the temperature changes, and things...well, things happen that don't happen when it's a normal Black Eye. But what might be the scariest thing about him maybe..." Lenny looked away before muttering, "He can make deals. Just like a Crossroads."
Adam's eyes narrowed as he walked past Lenny and behind the counter. "Crossroad Demons," he said as he reached for the bottle of Everclear he had offered Alexis earlier, "have red eyes, not black or yellow. They make certain...deals with people," he explained as he brought a glass out and poured a bit of Everclear in it, "The idiot who makes a deal gets what he wants; women, fame, riches, power, whatever. But then...ten years later, Hellhounds come and...repo him."
Lenny nodded as Adam mixed himself a drink. He knew none of the Acolytes have encountered a Demon with eyes other than black, but he had taught them. "Ten years after the deal, the Demon sends Hellhounds to retrieve the soul of ther person. Azazel has that same power. Anyway," he watched as Adam poured a red juice into the glass, "Azazel seems to be in charge of Demons. At least, a large number of them. You see, I wasn't the only Special Child. There were dozens of us, all with different powers. Azazel pit us all against each other until only two of us were left. Me, and this man named Sa-well, his name doesn't matter anymore." He shook his head as his fist clenched. "The plan was for the winner to release an army of Demons from Hell, Azazel's private army, and lead them. Lead them to what, I don't know. The other guy won. He killed me, stabbed me in the back and severed my spinal cord." He lifted his shirt again to reveal the scar.

"Honey? Honey? Hey, babe, what happened?" The man asked worriedly as his phone clicked. Assuming she dropped the phone or something, he grabbed a long wooden box out of the passenger seat and exited the car. He walked over to the front door, surprised to see it cracked. "Hey, sweetie?" He asked as he opened it. It was then that he saw his wife unconscious on the floor. "What the-? Baby!" He ran to her and knelt down on his knees, putting her head into his lap. "Hey, wake up!" He demanded frantically. Several explanations ran through his head: she tripped, a seizure, she fainted. But how did the phone disconnect? Why was the door cracked? Coming to a realization, he slowly stood up, placing her head on the floor softly. "Who's there?"

Without saying a single word, the attacker stepped in the man's sight. A condescending smirk formed on the assailant's face, knowing that all too well that a human like this man would stand no chance in an actual fight. The attacker's hand raised again, first pointing at the wooden box, then beckoning the man to bring him it. Secretly the intruder hoped the man would refuse and attack.

Adam's eyes narrowed, realizing where Lenny was going. "So you died...and went to Hell?"
"Jesus, Mulligan, I'm not that horrible!" Lenny exclaimed, genuinely insulted. "But yes, I went to Hell. Not because I was a sinner. You see, hunting's in my blood. My father's done it, my grandfather, my ancestors that came on the Mayflower, all hunters. So was my brother," Lenny sighed at the last word before continuing. "We were part of some grand plot, it seemed. And my brother died in the war. That's when I did something completely stupid. I made a deal and brought him back." Lenny gave no room for the others to talk, "That meant I was going to Hell. It was only a year later that Azazel had his little...tournament of Special Children. My brother wasn't one, just me. We were separated during the fight and just as we were reunited, I was stabbed and sent to Hell prematurely. Then, that idiot brother of mine did the exact same thing I did!" Lenny's eyes started to tear up. "I came back and we stopped Azazel from unleashing his army of Demons. Then, Hellhounds came and took my brother. The idiot made me promise not to try to bring him back again, made me swear on our mother's grave, bless her soul." The old man took a look around. "He didn't have ten years, or even one. He had a single day after making his deal. Damn Crossroads screwed him over. Azazel disappeared, all other Special Children were dead, and my brother was gone, probably suffering in Hell as we speak. I had nothing left. That's why I lost."

"You freak!" The man yelled angrily at the intruder. He looked at the box the intruder pointed at and opened it, revealing an ancient looking knife, with symbols etched into the blade. "I'll kill you!" He yelled it as he lunged at the stranger, the blade aimed for the intruder's chest.

OOC: sorry I've been gone so long everyone. I'm back now and itching to continue. Just reading it all made me kinda excited...like watching an episode.

BIC: Luce stared at him, averting her eyes from Adam and Scott as they so graciously chose to show off their bodies. She knew very well where her own tattoo was. Hidden, on her back in between her shoulder-blades. "Lenny....to be honest I don't know what to say. Going to Hell, making deals with Crossroads and all this....it's so..." she groped for the right word, "Much. But...how are we your fault?" Her icy eyes glittered as she thought of Azazel and rest of the things Lenny talked about.

Lenny shook his head and then continued, "I had a shot to take down Azazel. There's this gun, you see, it's called the Colt. It was made by this gunsmith, Samuel Colt. Colt was also a hunter. Some cowboy asked him to build a gun that could kill anything and he made the Colt along with thirteen bullets. My brother and I actually got a hold of it, but Azazel didn't like it. He possessed my father and demanded it." He paused to sigh before saying, "My father would've wanted me to shoot him then and there. Kill him and Azazel, but I couldn't do it. I shot him in the leg and Azazel left. The Colt was lost sometime in the battle of Azazel's children. I've no idea where it is now, though trust me, I'm looking." He looked at Luce, then to Carson, then Scott, Alexis, and Adam. "I had the chance to kill Azazel and I didn't. I also failed to hunt him down. I lost my brother, my father, and my own mother in my fight with ol' Yellow Eyes. However, I was sure I put an end to his plans. All of the other Special Children were dead and Azazel disappeared. I thought he was done with and the only thing left was to find him and kill him, but I admit," he looked away, "I wasn't trying to find and kill him out of the goodness of my heart. It's all revenge. Most of it still is. But then I found Luce," he pointed to the silver haired girl, "My first Acolyte. Years before then, Azazel's 'omens' started popping up but quickly disappeared and I couldn't track him down. It turns out," he looked at the five young adults, "He was making you guys. If I had killed him all those years ago with all of the chances I had, none of you would be here right now. You'd all be at home right now arguing about some party you want to go to this weekend with your moms." His voice choked up and his eyes watered as he finally apologized again, "None of you can understand how sorry I am. All of your lives, your moms' deaths, your dads' fates, my family's deaths, it's all on me. For that, I'm eternally sorry."
"Shut the hell up," Adam said coldly and loudly as he took a step forward, "I swear to God, Lenny, if you don't shut the hell up right now, I'll reunite you with your family myself."

"Nice way to put it, Adam." Scott muttered before turning towards Lenny. "How can we blame you? We can't really miss a regular life we never had." He folded his arms and leaned back in his chair. Colt? Is that a relative of the one who made those fancy revolvers? Or is it just coincidence? He sighed out. "So is that gun--and those bullets--the only thing that can kill Azazel? It all sounds pretty straightforward now." As long as nobody gets possessed...

Luce only had a moment in Lenny's story to feel bad for herself, but she'd done enough of that her entire life. Being angry at Lenny wouldn't change what he did or what Azazel did. Her icy eyes turned on Adam the second he spoke, "Don't you talk to Lenny that way! He saved your sorry @ss, how 'bout you show him the respect he deserves! I don't care if he sabotaged my entire life with one wrong decision. We all have made decisions now that have affected other people's lives! If Lenny hadn't done what he did, then we might be arguing with our...." she struggled to force the word 'mother' out of her lips, "M...well...you know. But we might not. We could be dead! Killed by the Demons we now know exist! Because of Lenny!" Even as her words were cold and louder than she normally spoke, she never stood or actually yelled. For once Luce was the calmer one.

Alexis listened to everyone, then she herself spoke up.
"I may be new here... but I have to say I agree with everyone in different ways.
First, I agree with Mulligan, Lenny does need to shut up and stop apologising.
I agree with Scott, how can we miss a life we never had?
And I agree with Luce in that he saved you guys and has probably saved me and the new guy here...
although I also disagree with one thing Luce said.
I don't think Lenny made a wrong decision. Let's face it, if it had been any of us in that position with Azazel possessing our own parent, we would have done the same.
At the end of the day... we don't have families, but we know we would do anything to protect them if we did, at least... that's me speaking for myself.
So... Lenny, seriously, just shut up apologising. You have no need to. What is done is done.
You have nothing wrong with going for revenge... That's probably why everyone else is here from the looks of things, and I can't blame anyone for that either.
I still don't know where I stand on that matter... but one thing I do know is, this is all down to that Azazel, none of it is you."
She folded her arms again from her sitting position, she wondered if anyone would react to what she said.
She wondered if Luce would probably want to kill her even more now since she disagreed with something she said (despite also agreeing with another part).
She simply looked at Lenny and waited for him to continue. Despite her normal style, she did feel sorry for him with that he had been torturing himself like this the whole time... she was cold, not heartless after all.
It still didn't mean she trusted anyone here... but she did believe them all.

Lenny just stood there, his jaw half-dropped at what Adam said, but he closed his mouth once everyone else spoke up, simply nodding.
"That's not what I meant," Adam said lowly, almost in a growl. The white and black haired young man quickly took his shirt off again and pointed to the tattoo below his anti-possession tattoo and over his heart, the letters 'M.D.' and a set of numbers. "M.D.," he said, showing everyone before looking back at Lenny. "My mother's initials. Not my birth mother, but the one I actually know and remember, the one who adopted and raised me as her own." He then moved his finger and pointed to the set of numbers next to the initials. "This is the date that her scumbag husband pushed me too far and the day I realized just how different I really am. This is the date that I set the freaking house on fire and watched them burn. There isn't a single night that goes by where I don't hear her screams in my sleep, Lenny, not one damn night. So don't stand there and tell me you're sorry, as if that's going to make things better." Unlike Lenny, Adam didn't pause for effect, instead he only paused to pull his shirt back down. "I don't remember my birth mother and all I remember about my dad is getting put in a home after he offed himself. I don't care how horrible it sounds, but I don't hate Azazel for causing their deaths. Like I said, I don't remember them. I hate Azazel for making me a freaking zippo! My mother would still be alive if it wasn't for me being the Human Torch, ya know? Don't stand there and justify not killing Azazel because you didn't want to kill your father, Lenny, because I fucking killed my mother, watched her burn, and listened to her screams as she died. Yeah, by accident, but an accident caused by me. I can go further back and blame it on you for not killing Azazel. I can go even further and blame it on Azazel himself. If there's another Demon pulling his strings, then I can blame that fucker, too!" He angrily swiped his hand through the air. "The point is, we're all to blame even you. I'll never forgive you for not killing Azazel, Lenny. I love you like the father I never had, but I won't forgive you. But listen to me and listen carefully, you old drunk," Adam took a step towards Lenny, "On my list of people to blame, you're not on the top. Azazel's number two, and me?" He pointed to himself, "Well, I'm number one. It wasn't Azazel who set the house on fire, at least, not that second time. I don't ever want to hear you apologize to us again, Lenny. Waste that energy and find that Yellow-Eyed bastard so we can finally kill him."

The attacker stood there for a moment, allowing the man to close in. Only a moment before the knife cut into the assailant's body, he took a single step to the side and gripped ahold of the hand that currently held the artifact. He stopped the man in his tracks, twisting the blade back towards his own chest, and then forced the blade suddenly into his body. There was a pause, as he allowed what happened to sink into the man's mind, and then the now-killer ripped the knife from the man's grip.
And then, he laughed softly to himself. He'd gotten his wish after all.

Scott looked at Adam as he spoke, feeling the same as him on a few aspects but felt that he didn't need an outburst to get his point across. Then again...it's Adam. He glanced over at Luce, feeling like she would get angry over what Adam said. "I think we've got it, Adam. It might've been better if Lenny would've killed Azazel...but we really don't know, huh?" He sighed out and hunched forward in his seat, pressing his hands against his knees as he slowly stood up. He glanced over at the drinks over the bar table. This'll be awhile... "Hm...anyone want something?"

Luce sighed, she wasn't going to get through to Adam unless she broke something over his head....something hard...like a chair.....but Lenny might not like that. She didn't know what to think. Blaming Lenny was impossible for her. He saved her from the rest of her freakish life on the streets. She was the first he found and she wouldn't lash out at him like Adam did. She knew better, and also had done so more often as a child. She knew where to reign in her temper. Dragging out her sigh, she rubbed her hand on her face, letting how tired and grief stricken she was all the time show on her face. For once, she didn't care what the others saw. She was tired and listening to Adam speak about his adoptive parents reminded her of the cold winter nights she'd spent watching families through their windows, admiring their Christmas tree. Quietly she spoke, just quiet enough that it could still be heard, but softer than she'd spoken before, "I wonder what it's like...to even know another human's embrace that wasn't malicious and hateful." Her eyes flicked up to Lenny and Adam. The pale blue of her irises darkened slightly with pain, "Humans who don't hate you and want you at the same time because of what you are and what you look like." Her eyes slid to Scott, "People who don't judge you for what you look like or act like." She lifted her voice a little and moved her pale gaze to Alexis and Carson, "Those who understand that though your actions speak louder than your harsh words, it's only to protect yourself on the streets in the winter....in the cold.....when the only food you're offered is given to you if you offer up yourself." Letting her old light shine back into her eyes, making them hard and cold again, she reached behind the bar and grabbed what remained of the Everclear. She contemplated a glass before she swallowed a mouthful straight from the bottle, "I wouldn't blame Lenny for what he chose in a million years. Lenny didn't tell those men to find me on the street that night...he didn't sell them booze or let them borrow their father's favorite hunting knife....That may not have been Azazel's doing either, because it was mine. We all make mistakes...it's human of us to slip up and when we do....we either land on our feet like we all eventually did and find ourselves living a life we didn't want or we fall and die and mourn the life we did want." Luce shrugged and swallowed a second mouthful of Everclear straight from the bottle, whispering to herself, "I don't want to remember this night."

Alexis also sighed and she crossed a leg over he other and she leaned back into the chair more with her arms still folded.
"We all have our own reasons and thoughts... we all have our own paths we've walked."
She felt a pang of regret that she didn't know Luce from her street life.
For one she would have been found he same time as her, but two... perhaps they could have watched each others backs...
thanks to her power, not that she had liked it at the time... but she could have gotten them food instead of Luce having to offer herself.
She didn't let it show though that she had just had such thoughts.
"I too have wondered similar things though. Cold nights alone, when you can't sleep from fear give you a lot to think about." She stated.
"The fact is... we are here now. While we have walked different paths, we've ended up at the same destination thanks to one man who has offered us more than we ever have had."
She stopped leaning back in her chair and leaned forwards. Her legs uncrossing and planted firmly on the ground, her eyes directed to the floor.
"Again... I know I'm new here... but... I guess that means something.
I don't know why Azazel chose us, ...did this to us... and I don't care.
We've got different reasons for why we blame whoever and whatnot...
We can't help how and what we feel... feelings can't be controlled that way no matter how hard we try.
So... we have to move with how things are.
    What's done is done."

Caron sat in the middle ,just glancing at all of them.He had secretly hoped no one would notice him,or ask him anything. He was fine how he was,but he figured,Scott was right. You can't miss something you don't remember or even know.He looked at Adam,His story DID make him feel bad,but he knew he shouldn't have,It was Adams choice. He couldn't done anything about it."We all do dumb or stupid things...But its OUR choice to do it.Everything works out for the better. Its not to late for us,yet. We can still kill him and make sure he doesn't ruin any more lives..." he looked up at all of them from his chair. He remained silent after that.

Adam shook his head at Scott and reached into his pocket. "Do you know why I accidentally killed my mother and burned my house down, Luce? Because my powers activated. Do you know why my powers activated, killed my mother, and burned my house down, Luce? Because my ******* of a stepfather was 'malicious.' Do you know he did to me? He beat me. Almost on a daily basis, but he was smart about it. No bruises and no cuts. The ones I got weren't out in the open. Do you know what he called me? A monster. 'Spawn of Satan,' Luce, because that's what we are," Adam almost let out a growl at that last word. "Acolytes of Azazel or Spawn of Satan, both names mean the same thing. We're Demon seed."
"Mulligan, enough," Lenny said, finally speaking up.
Adam ignored him and kept on. "My powers didn't activate until that one day," He was no longer talking to just Luce, but he kept his brown eyes locked on her silver ones. "I mean, sometimes I did tell him something before it happened. But it was nothing special. The first thing I ever lit on fire was the house. So tell me, how did he, a normal human, realize that I wasn't normal? Because it's obvious. People can tell, Luce. Just by being around us, they can tell we're monsters."
"I said enough, Mulligan," Lenny interrupted in a low voice, but he was still ignored.
"You say you wish you could feel a human's embrace, one that isn't 'malicious?' One that loves you? Well I have and I wish I never did. You know why?" Adam paused for a moment, but went on before anybody could answer, "So I wouldn't have to deal with the pain of actually having someone like that and having them torn away from me. So I wouldn't have to deal with the pain of knowing that I was the one that killed her. I lived five years with a depressed father that I barely remember. I lived seven years after that in an orphanage where everyone pretty much hated me. I lived three years with one person loving me so much that I didn't care I was being abused by her husband. I lived several months on the streets, thinking I killed her. And now? I've lived six years knowing that I did kill her and I did it because a Yellow-eyed freak made me his, and all of you, his personal familiar. Now I've lived ten minutes knowing that the freak made us his personal familiar because he," he paused to point at Lenny, "failed to kill him so many times. And that's why-"
"I SAID ENOUGH, ADAM!" Lenny yelled so angrily that he accidentally caused a bottle to fall off a shelf and shatter. He looked at it for a second. It had been years since he lost control of his powers like that.

The man fell, first to his knees and then to his side. Blood started to come out of his mouth as he tried to talk, but no words came out. As everything faded to black, he took one last look at the intruder. The last thing he would see is his killer's face, but there was nothing special about it.

OOC: Sorry for the long posts xD I'm hurrying so we can start tthe next mission.

Luce listened without moving to Adam's outburst and Lenny. Most of Adam's speech was drowned out by the roar of blood in her ears. "So you think....it's better to not know love...." she mumbled quietly. She kept her eyes fastened on Adam and her temper boiled over. Luce stood so quickly she upturned her stool she sat on and her cheeks reddened with fury, "WELL AREN'T YOU A SORRY LITTLE PIECE OF SH!T!" She screamed blindly at him. She picked up the bottle of Everclear and chucked it at Adam's head. "You think that by not knowing love you'd be better off?! I'll tell you something! I lived with my father for eight years! I was eight years old when he killed himself! Leaving me alone with his body, blood and debts to pay and fend for myself!" Stepping closer, threatening him with only her posture, Luce continued, "I'd rather have been beaten and loved than raped as a child! You hear me, boy!? You've no idea what kind of trouble you can find when suddenly those who raped you have this control over your life! You don't know what it's like! To be afraid by the mear presence of a man because you know how much damage he can cause when you're alone with him!" Her anger kept burning at the memories, "I'd rather have more scars of knives and broken bones from repeated punches and kicks than to never be able to be touched by another! To fear the second you let down your guard that they'll do something you don't want! DON'T YOU TALK TO ME ABOUT FAMILY AND LOVE, YOU STUPID SON OF A B!TCH!"

Scott turned away from the bar, having been staring at the drinks for some time now deciding whether or not he would try taking anything. Things were getting too loud. He turned towards Luce and watched her outburst surpass Adam's own in terms of sheer anger. His eyes followed her hand as she tossed a bottle right at Adam. It stopped short of hitting him, hovering over in midair before lowering slowly down to the ground. Scott lowered his hand and stepped over towards Luce. Things did get nasty. "We've all got different feelings on this subject." He said aloud, not directing it entirely at Luce or Adam. "The past already happened. For all we know things could've been a hell of a lot worse if anything changed. There's a chance none of us would be standing here today if things had taken a different turn." He reached forward and tugged at Luce's arm, hoping she wouldn't try anything more drastic than throwing another bottle...or hitting him. "We already know life's been hell on all of us. More-so for a few...but talking about how scarred we are because of our shitty upbringings isn't gonna change things!" Scott growled lowly as he was beginning to lose his own temper. "Both of you better stop tearing each other's throats out when Azazel's still out there wrecking more lives just like ours!"
