"Apologizing? It wasn't even your fault, either way,Its done.We can't really change it,so we have to live with it." He replied blankly to Lenny. He realized he was thinking aloud and stopped immediately. At least hes trying to make us feel as welcome as we can..... He sat up straight. He was waiting for him to continue.

Lenny let out a chuckle and stood up and walked over to the bar. "It kind of is, Carson..." he said quietly as walked to the other side. "Before I tell you more about who you are, who we are, and what we are, I need to shed some light into the dark of this world," he reached below a counter and pulled out his signature glass. Sliding it across the counter as he walked, he grabbed his favorite bottle of scotch with his other hand. He reached the container of ice and dipped his cup into it. He could do it easily with telekinesis, but he always preferred to make his own drinks by hand. "I already told you a little bit, but it can be hard to swallow. Carson, Alexis, monsters exist."

"...You say it like it's so dramatic.. I mean... yeah, if we were normal then the prospect of monsters would seem unbelievable... but we aren't normal.
It's not hard to swallow if you look at that fact..."
Alexis didn't know why she was so calm as she said this. She didn't feel comfortable with the fact that such things existed... yeah, but even if she was uncomfortable with it, it didn't mean she didn't believe it.
She suddenly stared Lenny straight in the eyes though... her green eyes piercing through the air.
"What I don't get and want to know is...
How is it 'kind of' your fault?" she asked him, a dead serious tone in her voice.

"Alexis is right.I don't really feel comfortable with it,but I do believe it.I wanna know why Its 'Kind of your fault'.Thats what kids say when they don't wanna get in trouble.'Its was kinda my fault!'" He spoke in a irritated childish manner. He was serious, though,he wanted to know why it was only 'Kind of' his fault.

Luce growled. Their tones weren't to her liking, especially when talking to Lenny, the man who'd saved her from herself. Her hand tightening on her favorite darker colored pistol, she growled louder, "Watch your tones children. How about you show some respect for the man who's taken you in when no one else would. Or..." a tight, cold smile spread across her lips, "Would you like me to put a bullet in your temple to end your misery?" Her alternative probably made Lenny upset, but at the moment she just wanted to kill something...and the new 'family members' were right front and center.

Alexis stood up from her chair.
She stared Luce straight in the eyes blankly, showing no fear.
    "Go on." She stated simply.

OOC: Sorry that short post was short, but... that's pretty much how she would be.

"That's enough, Luce." Scott spoke lowly, glancing over at her from the corner of his eye. "We're not here to fight each other. Unless you'd rather have me make you behave. He turned his attention over towards Carson and Alexis. "The same goes to you new kids. Get back in your chair, Alexis." Scott's patience wore thin with everyone's attitude and he was just about ready to use force if it was what it took to shut the others up. He just wanted Lenny to get his story over with.

Alexis didn't sit just yet, she ignored Scott for the most part first.
She just continued to stare directly into Luce's eyes.
"You say I'm a child. Someone like you should know this better than anyone.
People like you and me don't get the chance to be children.
I haven't been a child since I was around four years old."
With that she glanced at Scott, as she took her seat.
"Before what? Are you gonna threaten me too?
Personally, I've played nice so far.. Lenny can tell you that himself." she told him, as she crossed her arms.

Carson ignored Luce's threat,he knew she wouldn't actually kill them,He figured Lenny wouldn't allow it."Lenny,I've made up my mind.If we get pared up,can i be with Scott the happy guy?Homicidal and suicidal over here bother me." He looked at Lenny, who hadn't said anything in a while.

Luce ignored Scott, he'd made her feel like a human being enough for one day. It was about time she went back to being who she was. And that person wasn't very nice. She smirked at Alexis, "Well, well, well, seems like the litle girl wants to share her life's story. Too bad, I'm not interested in having a 'let's talk about our experiences and how they differ and have made us who we are' kind of moment." Luce ignored the memory of her father taking care of her for the brief moment she could remember. The rest was blood and fire and rage. "If you insist you're not a child then prove it! Act like you're an adult. Quit thinking everything revolves around you! Cause, news flash, sweetie, it doesn't and I'm sick of you and your 'my trauma is worse than yours' attitude already!" She couldn't have even begun to unrepress, remember and tell how many times she'd been raped and beat in ways no young teenager should've. For a moment her thoughts turned to the orphanage and the children there. Their sticky fingers in her hair and greedy eyes still frustrated her. Her ice blue eyes glared back at Alexis. She couldn't remember the last time she'd spoken to another girl who wasn't nervous about meeting her eyes. Luce wondered what they saw in her eyes; it couldn't be the same thing she saw...could it? The anger, betrayal, hurt and disgust mocked her in every reflective surface. It was the sole reason why the only mirror in her own room was broken.

Alexis stood up... again. Still completely calm.
"I don't want to share my life story with any of you. Frankly, it is none of your business." She stared Luce back as she said this, still not breaking eye contact, her voice remained calm and showed no hint of emotion.
"Second.. I've never once claimed my trauma is worse than anyone's or yours. So... News flash, Sweetie." she said the last part with a hint of irony, it being what Luce had just said to her. "You should take your own advice."
Her arms hung loosely at her sides. "All of us here have evidently been through sh*t. Maybe some worse than others, but as for that, it's not my place to judge, so I'm not gonna." she stated simply.
She knew that Luce's hand was still on her gun. "So... we can have it two ways. You can shut up and let Lenny continue, or you can get this over with and shoot me.
Be warned, if it's the latter, I'm not just gonna sit still." Again, her voice wasn't malicious or anything as she said this. It was just calm.

This isn't getting anywhere. He reached over towards Luce and placed his hand on her shoulder. "What's happened in the past should stay there. Things are different now so there's no point in fighting amongst ourselves." Scott spoke lowly, turning to look back at Luce. "Just calm down, alright?" Scott paused for a moment, moving his hand away from Luce's shoulder in case she decided to try and break his arm. He wasn't sure what else he could say to her as now wasn't the time to get too emotional...at least not with the others around. Everybody's got problems. He shook his head slowly. "Alexis, sit down. Luce isn't going to shoot you. You remind her too much of herself, that's all." And when two girls like that come in contact...the result is usually messy. Scott turned his attention over towards Carson who had spoken. "Sorry, but that's not gonna happen." He stated plainly, his eyes shifting over towards Luce.

Luce was rather surprised when Scott touched her. She jumped, letting go of her gun and backed against the bar. It was her initial reaction which was normal. Save that she knew Scott wouldn't voluntarily hurt her nor did he probably want to. She hated him for that. If only he was like all the rest; the rest who would hurt her and she could easily steel herself to them, break a few bones, plug them full of bullets, anything. Luce forgot Alexis' challenge, though she was ready to take her up on that option, and kept her eyes on Scott.

Lenny watched the scene unfold and looked at Adam, who was doing the same thing and, for once, being quiet. "Since you two are getting along so well, you're rooming together. No arguments," he told Luce and Alexis, breaking the tension. "That way, you can fight it all out in your private time. Now on to what I was saying," he raised his palm to stop them from objecting. "Werewolves, vampires, ghouls, Wendigos, ghosts, Shapeshifters, Skinwalkers, these are just some of the monsters that you'll hear about. But the most important ones are Demons," he paused and moved his eyes to Adam's, who looked away instantly, and then to Luce and Scott. "Demons are...just that, Demons. They're spawn from Hell. And I don't mean that as an expression, I mean that there is an actual Hell. Fire, brimstone, sulfur, the whole she-bang." Hesitating, Lenny moved his hand to the bottom of his shirt, and lifted it up. Having a surprisingly well-toned body and well-defined abs for a man his age, only the gray hair on his torso gave him away. His chest was riddled with scars and wounds. Right above his belly button, there was a slanted scar. He turned around and on his back, over the same spot, was the same scar, right over his spine. The entrance wound. "Trust me, there is a Hell. I should know, I've been there." He let his shirt drop and turned around, looking at all of the Acolytes. Neither Adam, Scott, nor Luce have heard that last part before.

Alexis simply sat down, not saying anything about Lenny's choice of rooming arrangements. She honestly didn't give a damn.
She listened to his talk of Monsters and Demons.
She saw the scars on his body...
Every scar told a story... she listened to him some more until he finished.
Finally she spoke up. "And this Azazel... the demon you spoke of before... is the one to blame right?
...although, I still am waiting for a question to be answered.
How exactly is it also your fault?"
She didn't intend to let this question go no matter how much anyone tried to dodge it. She wanted to know what he had meant before.

He's been there? To Hell? Scott shifted his eyes away from Luce who had calmed down, to his surprise, and turned his attention towards Lenny. I wonder how... He folded his arms, keeping his expression blank though he wondered about the new piece of information Lenny had shared. Lenny had never mentioned it before and Grey couldn't help but be curious as to why he would share that now. I would've figured Hell was Earth. Guess I was wrong. Scott sighed out and hunched over in his seat, lost in thought.

What a nice boy. They had welcomed him so nicely over at their little clubhouse, though he supposed that it was better if he left. Little did those Acolytes know what he was really planning, that clever Lenny. Sitting in his cool car, a low temperature to keep the demon from feeling like he was in Hell, the demon approached the city with reports from Lenny about something...interesting that he should scout out before the Acolytes came. A simple mission, though he understood the importance. His yellow eyes flashed as he parked his car in an abandoned parking lot, lying a gentle spell over the thing so he'd feel if it was getting taken or whatnot. Nothing all too big, he couldn't track the car or anything. "Hmmm." He murmured quietly, stepping out of the vehicle in his typical clothing. Smoothing out his t-shirt, the demon cooly began to walk. He had a vague idea of where he was going, though he didn't exactly know. He could feel it, though...like magnetism working on an iron core, he could feel what he needed tugging at him.

Luce stared at Lenny for once her thoughts were blank. Until it registered and she fell into a chair, He's been to Hell....I don't...I don't believe it. Her ice blue eyes softened as she looked at him, "Lenny...why didn't you tell us this before? And why are you telling us now?"

"The hell are you playing at, Lenny?" Adam asked loudly as he stood up. "Hell? The actual Hell? You've been there?" His eyes narrowed as he sat back down and crossed his arms, the hair on the back of his neck standing on end. "You've got some 'splainin' to do."

Lenny sighed and looked at his Acolytes. "I've never told you guys this before, but I think it's time to tell you the truth." He raised a hand to his forehead and could feel the sweat. "I always told you that Azazel's goal didn't matter, or why I'm the only older Special Child left is because I 'lost.' In actuality, I won."

He walked over to the bar and turned around, leaning on it. "First, for Carson and Alexis' sake, look at this," he said as he lifted up his shirt again. The scar on his stomach was visible, but he kept raising his shirt until his neck was the only thing covered. Right above his heart, on the left side of his chest, was a tattoo. It was a star in a circle, a pentagram. Unlike others, this one had curves on the edge of the circle, making it look like a sun. "Demons have certain...rules. It's basic lore and it's where most religious fables come from. They can't cross a line of salt, iron burns, and the sort. This," he pointed to his tattoo, "Is called a Devil's Trap. Once inside, a Demon can't leave. They're all over the place here and in the cars. This twisted one, the one I have as a tattoo, all of the Acolytes have." He pointed to Adam, Scott, and Luce. "Unlike a normal Devil's Trap, it prevents a Demon from entering. In other words, they can't possess you. You two will be getting them soon."

Adam nodded slowly and took off his shirt completely. While nowhere near as bad as Lenny, his torso was covered in scars as well. There was the same tattoo below his left shoulder. Over his heart, the letters "M.D." was visible, along with numbers. What does this have to do with Azazel and Hell?

"Yes, I know!" The man said as he took a turn. His car was traveling at a modest speed while his wife talked on the other line of his cell phone. "I don't know where it's from, but it seems pretty ancient. The man I talked to, Gene Simmons, said-what? Yeah, like the singer. Anyway, he said it's a historical piece needed for his collection and he's willing to pay a lot!" His voice was excited was he turned onto his street. "I'm supposed to meet his representative later tonight. So I'm going to change quickly. Yeah, I'm pulling up to the house now, baby."

    Alexis listened closely.
She never saw the appeal in getting a tattoo, but she didn't see the appeal in getting possessed either.
"Why is this whole Hell deal a big surprise?" she asked.
"I mean, if we're dealing with demons here... then Hell is bound to come into it right?"
She then looked at Lenny directly. "What I don't get and see as the more important thing is... if you won... then why did Azazel come back and well... add us to his cruel game?" she said gesturing to herself and the others.
"Is this something to do with the whole, 'kinda your fault' thing?"
    she asked bluntly.
