"Now things are getting interesting. Why would Lenny have a demon come and help you? Well, answer me this in return. Why would an American general accept a Russian general's help in training his army? Well, because the Russian general would know the ins and outs of Russian weapons, Russian tactics, and Russian weaknesses." Samael said pointedly, tapping his heel against the ground lightly. He turned to the other male, grinning. "No, Lenny's not drunk. Actually, he's very smart. What better an idea than get tutoring from a demon that's millenia old?" Sam smiled and began to laugh as the man caught on to his abnormality, wiggling his fingers mysteriously. "I'm special, that's for sure. No need to tell you right now, it's not really pertinent to what we're doing. Let's just say it makes me a lot more powerful than other demons. And I'm more than willing to help you fight." Samael said with a small smile, turning to the girl. "I hope he answers. Besides, I think you all are going to need my help. While Lenny can train you, I can give you first-hand exprience with my kind. If you want to take down the big boys-and I know you all do-" He said, looking pointedly to each of them. "I know you all are special. I wouldn't go to just any hunters." He added, raising an eyebrow. "You're going to need my help as well. Here, while she's calling him-If you want to go ahead and talk to my last partner, come on and do it." He said, pulling out a cell phone from his pocket and selecting the old man's house number, lying the phone on table without hitting send. "He'll testify. He trusted me about as much as you did in the beginning." Yes, he had encountered hunters like these before. They were harder to defeat, that was for certain, but that only intrigued the demon more. "If you're wondering why I'm not trying to kill you, it's because I'm probably filed as a runaway back in Hell. I disobeyed orders."

 

Luce watched Scott leave and glared her icy gray eyes at Samael, "And we should believe you why? You're a demon, a filthy, no good, rotten, lying, demon. I don't trust or like demons in the slightest, no matter what anyone may say! He's trouble and I can smell it!" she snarled. Pulling her pistol from her right thigh, she touched it to Samael's forehead, "I don't like your attitude very much either." Luce refused to become buddy buddy with a demon, no matter how friendly he got. Though a piece of her brain focused solely on the fact that a demon standing before her had demon blood in him. The source of their powers. "Adam, what're we doing here?!" Her gray eyes focused on Samael as she addressed Adam. Her pistol never wavered from his forehead.

 

Adam agreed with Luce, but part of him was so confused at the Demon's story. No other Demon had ever addressed the Acolytes as special, but Adam always got the feeling that Demons knew something they didn't. "Even if you're telling us the truth," he told Samael, "You can't think we would trust your contact to tell us anything. We're not stupid." Adam waited for Tatum to call Lenny, he could clear this up. But if Luce wasn't careful, she might not make it out of here alive. "Luce, quick. Go outside. Make sure nobody else shows up, human...or otherwise. Scott," Adam rarely called Scott by his name, instead he would usually make some sort of Hercules joke, but this was a serious and confusing situation, "Get in here." Adam had a plan. He was there to shoot the Demon, Scott was there to hold it if it tried anything, both of them had Demon-killing knives. Tatum had been hiking so she would probably be better off staying away from action, but her touch might come in handy. Luce was there for the same reason as Tatum; in addition to keep anybody else out, if the Demon tried to escape, all Luce would have to do is grab it.

 

Luce glanced at Adam, astonishment on her face. She started to protest and dropped her gun from the Demon's head, "Fine." Glaring at Scott as she passed by him she snarled under her breath. "For what it's worth, that thing comes out here, I'm shooting first and asking questions later." Standing outside, Luce glared at the trees, keeping her pistol in her hand and her other hand resting on her hip, close to the twin pistol. And she thought she could finally get her shower and a nap. This is ridiculous. Adam should've let me shoot him before that creep could've opened his mouth. Demon words...nothing but lies.

 

"Come on. Shoot me, it'd be a good outlet for your anger. It won't do a thing to me." The demon said with a cocked eyebrow, folding his arms. "Please. It would be great if you realized, sir, that I could have done a lot worse than shown up at your door, unarmed. Why would I have done that? My purpose here is to help you. I don't necessarily like demons, to tell you the truth; most of them are idiotic, bloodthirsty things looking out only for human flesh. Personally, I enjoy helping humans; you all are unique creatures. Very diverse." He said pointedly, wagging one of his fingers. This demon was...very strange, to say the least. No demon was immune to salt bullets(well, almost none), but Sam /did/ have the ability to conjure up physical and magical barriers that were invisible to the human eye-he had one in front of the muzzle of the gun. It wasn't a god power, sure; the inch by inch square couldn't get much bigger and take much more punishment then a knife thrust if it got too big, but hey. It was useful. That combined with his other enhanced abilities made the demon very special. "Hm. Listen, the demons and monsters you've been facing thus far have no doubt been powerful, but Lenny can only teach you so much. The ones you will face in the future will be hardcore demons that will spare nothing in your demise. They will employ dirty tricks and power unlike anything you've seen so far, I guarantee, and I need you to be prepared for it if you want to take them out." He said, looking around. "Has he answered yet?"

 

OOC: Guys, muff monkey (Tatum) doesn't want to be a part of the RP anymore so we're going to pretend Tatum never existed >> For all intents and purposes, Luce killed the Wendigo and that Adam just called Lenny.
BIC:

"You've got to be kidding me!" Adam yelled into the phone. He even stopped pointing his gun at the Demon as he turned, his voice raising even more. "A Demon? Really? A good Demon? Try again, Lenny, because that's complete bull-what? Who cares about the Wendi-Yeah, Griffin's alright and so are the victims, now about this Demon Samael or what-FORGET THE DAMN WENDIGO, WE KILLED IT!!" Adam was so angry at Lenny. Lenny was casually telling him that Samael was an ally and Adam couldn't believe it. "We're hunters, Lenny, we hunt Demons and Demons possess and kill us! That's the way it is, they're monsters and so are-" Adam stopped right there. Lenny was quiet on the other line, but Adam knew that Lenny was aware of what he almost said. "Fine. Whatever. But he's not riding in my mustang."
Adam slammed his cell phone shut, not giving Lenny time to respond. His eyes rested on Samael once more and he started talking, addressing the other Acolytes, "Lenny says that it's not lying. He wants us to bring it to the Roadhouse." His voice was low, but the mistrust was evident.

 

"Luce heard every word Adam had said and gritted her teeth, gripping her gun tighter, He's joking right? This is all a very cruel joke. she vainly thought. Leaning on the doorway, she glared her icy eyes at Samael, "I ain't letting him in my car. That demon stink will never come out of my seats." Brushing a stray silver hair away from her face, she lifted her pistol and tapped her shoulder with the muzzle, "You're gonna get it pretty good from Lenny, Adam. I can hear your tourtured screams now." she was kiddinig but her sense of humor was a twisted sort that no one else thought it was funny.

 

Adam was staring at Samael intently before getting confused. "Huh? Wha-" Even to this day, he didn't quite get Luce's humor. He shook it off and stared back at the Demon. So many things were wrong with this situation, but what bother Adam the most was that the Demon had fangs. Since when did Demons have fangs? Not just that, but the mental feeling Adam was getting from it. It wasn't a premonition, or some kind of mind-reading, but Adam could smell Demon, but not with his nose.He wondered if Luce was talking about the same "stench" he was thinking about. The chances were slim, since they all referred to Demons as vile things. "Well," he started, leaving his thoughts for a moment, "It has to ride with one of us. Unless it can fly." Despite the fact that he was talking to the other Acolytes, his eyes were on Samael. He still referred to the Demon as an "it."

 

Folding her arms, Luce leaned her weight on one leg in a more than cocky stance, "No offense taken, it's true, I'd probably kill it before we got to the Roadhouse." Tilting her head to the side, she still studied the demon and drummed her fingers on her arm, "What're you suggesting Scott, that they take my car just cause it's four door? I don't mind riding with someone else, but i'm not staying anywhere near that thing!" Her mind set against being close to the demon, Luce turned and left. Somehow her temper completely under control, but her energy was fleeting. Leaning against a tree outside, her shoulders drooped, Why is it always us that run into the freaky sh!t. Yeah, we're Acolytes, but still... Pulling on her hair she groaned and slumped to the ground.

 

-I apologize for the long wait. We've discovered that my grandfather has to undergo quadruple bypass surgery if he wants to live; things are calme now so I'll be able to continue with this roleplay. I'm so sorry for my long absense.-

"Watching you humans quarrel is such a funny thing." Samael mumbled, standing up and stretching his considerable form. "How about you take into account I'm an extremely powerful demon? That should help things. I can ride on the roof, in the trunk, or just plain follow you outside of a vehicle, if that'd be easiest. We demons can move very, very fast, which makes me laugh when you talk about one of you killing me all by yourself. Lenny will warn you about attacking me, I can assure you." He said with a little wink, giving a toothy grin as he slid over to the door. "Tip number 1. A great demon hunter makes the enemy think all that he has is a pistol. Make of that what you will." The man murmured, twisting a fist around the doorknob and pushing it open. "After you all. You can decide on my...riding arrangements, if you'd like to call it that."

 

OOC: I could have sworn I posted, wtf. Anyways, Of Pride, that's completely fine. Your grandfather's in my thoughts. I hope everything goes well. Take all the time you need! This RP isn't going to disappear so we can wait :]
BIC:

"Whoa, whoa, WHOA!" Adam said, shaking his head. He pointed the gun at Luce and Scott, but comically as he waved it around. "Nobody, and I mean NOBODY, is driving my car but me!" He then pointed the gun to himself. It could worry somebody, but the Acolytes (and most other hunters) were so comfortable around firearms, they would make even the most country of rednecks cringe. "And you," he turned around and pointed the gun to Samael. "You're running. Make sure nobody sees you. I don't care how powerful you are. If we have to kill you," Adam nodded towards his comrades, "The devil himself wouldn't stop us."

 

Luce tapped her finger against her pistol thinking, Damn straight he wouldn't. Her icy gray eyes said the same as she glared at Samael. "Well, how much longer are we going to stand here? I've got stuff to do! C'mon then, if the thing is running. It better not come anywhere near my car or I swear I'll shoot it."

• Superhuman reflexes - The ability to move against most attacks at extreme speeds as well as increased visual perception. If she sees an attack, she can pretty much dodge/block it perfectly in an instant. With Demon blood powering her, she can with her increased visual perception read her opponent(s) so well that she can practically predict their moves, and even dodge things such as bullets with further enhanced reflexes.
• Portalkinesis - The ability to create portals that can summon objects at anytime. She mainly does this with weapons (or if she has lost her cell phone). The limits of this ability are that she can only move non-sentient objects (nothing that is alive), she must be able to clearly picture the object in her mind, and she can only summon 2-3 things at once. With Demon blood in her system, she can summon many objects all at once and also in fact move sentient beings through portals if she needs to, although this puts a lot of stress on her and can leave her dazed and on the verge of conciousness depending on how much of an extent she uses the ability.
• Telekinesis - Alexis has the normal amount of telekinesis the other Acolytes do. She likes to combine this ability with her Portalkinesis to control objects that she has just summoned. When under the influence of Demon blood, the combination can be pretty deadly.
• Premonitions - like the others, although hers become a lot stronger when she dreams.

Background: Was raised by her father until the age of 4, then he died from illness. She was taken in by her father's sister, but because of how unusual Alexis was... she was just as suddenly ditched by her Aunt and left to the streets. It was around this time that her PortalKinesis developed. Thanks to this ability she was able to survive relatively well on the street by summoning objects as she needed them. If she ever got into hardships (fights), she was even without any sort of training a skilled fighter and became known as 'The Untouchable Queen of the Streets' as no one, not once was ever able to lay a finger on her. To this day she is still on the streets, having no idea about the truth about her, she just focuses on surviving in this cruel world.
Personality: Can be rather cold for obvious reasons, and tends to be a bit of a loner because that is all she really knows. She finds it hard to trust people because... well, there isn't really anyone she has ever been able to trust before.

Favorite Weapon: Anything she can summon really. She likes to use Twin swords/katanas. On other days she might like daggers/knifes, she might fancy using guns (once she is trained up with them)... on days with Demon blood in her, she might decide that she likes them all.
Other: Good hacking abilities and is surprisingly a really good cook.

 

I thought this was pretty much dead since we were waiting for Of Pride who hasn't been on the site for over a month now, but since we have two new recruits, we'll keep this going!

Both of you are in. However, instead of starting off as Acolytes, we're going to say that Lenny found you while the others were on the Wendigo mission so you're the newest Acolytes.
Also, instead of simply saying that Of Pride's wolf-Demon never existed and ignore it, we'll say that the Demon said he'll have to meet up with us some other time because he has something to do and disappear.
Is that fine with everybody?
