Supernatural: Acolytes of Azazel.

Luce grimaced at his words and mumbled, "Well I'm not fond of you." as she climbed into the passenger seat next to him. Her actual thoughts on being in the jeep with Scott were just jumbled flashes of her past. Scott wasn't like the guys on the street but if she tried, she could pick out a few similarites. Meeting everyone else's gaze she rattled off the reassuring words she'd been taught to say, "We'll meet you all back at Griffin's after we're done taking care of these guys." Tapping the tip of her pistol against the dashboard, she gave them a feral smile, "If there are no objections, let's get going Scott. I'm gonna get restless in a few seconds and want to shoot something again."

 

She laughed, a harsh, shaky sound, "You make that sound like I wouldn't throughly enjoy shooting you. I'll put it away when I feel nothing's gonna jump out at me, kay?" Luce didn't take well to being told what to do. She examined her pistol anxiously and settled into her seat. His words finally worked their way into her head, "Wait, what? Changing? Are you insane or just high? Why in hell would my opinion of you change?! I dislike you and the rest of them to the very core of my being." Her thoughts said otherwise, At least, isn't that what I've been telling myself? That I don't like them? scowling at the windshield she thought, He can't be right...can he?

 

Luce snarled at him silently, "Hmph, only humans have fun. And the only fun they have is screwing each other. I don't need to have fun, nor do I need the knowledge of how." Closing her eyes she lifted her pistol and tapped it against her forehead, her voice quieter as she spoke, "We can't save everyone. I can't save everyone. I had to learn that the hard way. My father abandoned me...mom's dead and the orphans...they hated me. You don't know what it's like living on the street like that. Someone's bound to get too close to you, close enough to do a decent amount of damage." Her gray eyes opened and she felt tears burn at the backs of her eyes, Damage your body, mind and spirit. "They couldn't resist, it's what they told me. I was just too pretty for my own good, too painful to look at and know they couldn't have." She fell silent, lifted her gun and aimed at a deer she'd spotted outside. The gunshot echoed along the empty road and she brought the tip of the pistol to her bare arm, burning another unsightly mark on her wrist next to the others, "You wouldn't know what it's like...there is no gentleness in the world I've seen, mankind...who says they deserve my protection?" She never looked at Scott as she spoke or burned herself.

Adam watched Scott drive off with Luce, the wounded, and Klaire (OOC: assuming that>>). Taking in the bits of conversation he heard before they left, he sighed. "We're all going to kill each other one day," he said, not sure if he was even joking. "I guess..." he looked at Tatum and crinkled his nose, "We're hiking back."




Lenny had yet to receive word from the Acolytes, but he wasn't worried. Griffin had called him and told them they had left to find the creature the night before. They should be finishing soon. "Those vampires are tricky," he chuckled at his lone customer, an aged hunter who sat at the bar. "But you sure took care of them," he said, continuing their conversation. "Excuse me for a moment, John." Lenny laid down his own glass and walked through the door behind the counter, the one that led to his room. He walked to his desk and looked down. A map of the U.S. was spread across the entire surface, with tacks and scribbles written over it. "Hmm..." He picked up his cell phone from over the map and walked back out. "So how did you find their nest?"

 

The rest of Scott's words blurred together until the only thing that stood out was his sentence about forcing it on her. Snarling, she resisted the urge to hold her pistol to his head, "You force anything on me and you'll find a bullet in your big empty head!" Her own violence almost shocked her back into silence. Tucking her gun away she sighed and glanced around, "You don't know where you're going do you? Here, take a left up here, this should put you on a road to the hospital." She remembered a bit of Minnesota's layout and figured the quickest way to avoid Scott's frustration with her was to find the hospital before she had to start holding her gun to his head. Turning around in her seat she touched one of the wounded man's neck, checking his pulse. She touched her fingers to Scott's pulse to match them, "It's a bit slow, you should hurry."

 

Luce let a sort of animalistic sense drive her actions. Her body was tired and her mind was exhausted of trying to play the one always the wiser of everyone else. His voice vibrated against her fingers as she pulled away and lightly shifted one of the wounded into a more comfortable position. "I didn't realize you were so jumpy. I'm sorry but a healthy male's pulse would be better to monitor their pulses with than mine." Settling back into her seat, Luce closed her eyes, "You wanted to know why I don't know what fun is? It's because I never had the chance to have any fun growing up. Being alone, fighting for your next meal and a place to sleep. Really doesn't leave much room to find something fun to do. I wasn't raised by my father like the others or in an orphanage. I raised myself and fun just wasn't on the agenda." She could clearly remember when her father had killed himself and the orphanage had turned her away at the door. Luce fell asleep, her memories becoming her dreams and her fingers twitched every now and then as she slept.

            ||★-Klaire’s not there. I really have nothing to say. So here's five sentences.-★||​
            
            As the Jeep disappeared into the woods, Klaire let out a short sigh, peering back at everyone and wrapping her arms around herself with a short nod at Adam. They were heading back now, and she was eager to get somewhere warm…and get something to eat. For herself, today had been rather uneventful. Her fear of getting in the way or messing something up had contributed greatly to that. She stared down at the tire tracks, keeping close to the group and rubbing her arms for more warmth.
            
            
            

 

Luce's silver hair fell over her face as she slept. Working her way through a nightmare, she woke when they arrived at the hospital. She felt refreashed and in a much better mood. Glancing over at Scott, she could recall he'd said something as she slept, but what it was she didn't remember. "Let's go Scott, lotsa people to save, right?" She'd have to tone down her supernatural abilities for the humans. One of the wounded was half awake; picking him out of the others, Luce helped him stand, "Try not to draw too much attention to yourself. Keep it on them. We wouldn't want everyone to know what we are." A small smile flashed across her lips as she helped the man out of the jeep.

 

Letting out a sigh when the jeep finally disappeared after leaving, she turned to Adam and shook her head. "I don't want to hike. Why don't you just carry me back?" Of course she was joking, but if he wanted to actually carry her, she'd have no objections. She honestly didn't want to walk back, because last night it seemed like it had taken forever to get to where they were at now. Kicking a small stone in front of her, she started walking slowly in the direction of their camp.

 

Luce hid her laugh, "Only you wish." As she half carried the man toward the hospital she shook her hair over her face and warily kept the doctors she could see in her line of sight, "Potential predators..." she mumbled. She wasn't sure how she would explain her twin pistols strapped to her thighs, but lying was apart of the job description. She shuddered, even if it meant pretending to be real buddy buddy with Scott. Letting the man lean on the counter, she slammed her fist, pulling the hit, down on the counter, "Hey! We've got three dying people here!" Doctors raced to take them away and Luce allowed herself a bit of satisfaction.

Adam chuckled and pointed to Klaire, "Klaire said she'll carry us both. Girl's got muscle, you know?"


~Skip ahead an hour or so~

Adam sighed when he finally saw Griffin's cabin. "About effin' time!" he groaned as he stopped to rest. "We'll talk to Griffin, tell him what happened," he started to say, looking at Klaire and Tatum, "Then we wait for the others and get the hell out of here." He started to walk again before crinkling his nose. "Damn I need a shower."

bic: Luce sighed in her seat, her mood a lot less extreme than before. "Hopefully. I could use a bath." She scowled playfully at Scott, "You mean you didn't have to answer all those questions. I'm just glad they were mostly medical questions and I could get by by saying I'd only found them that way."
