Superhero RP Interest Thread

Here's our residential comic book fan and "expert!" So with all of the hype following the superhero movies, as well as the current comic book storylines, I've decided to make a superhero RP! It's definitely more team-focused than anything else and it's all OC. The RP is meant to mimic actual comic book tropes and ideas so almost anything is allowed (last survivor of alien race, mutants, government experiment, etc. as well as crazy bad guys with wacky ideas). This means that you can imitate an existing character (from any comic book source whether it's DC, Marvel, comic book, show, movie, etc.) or even "OC-ize" a character, as long as there's enough edits so it's not a direct rip off. This also means that no prior knowledge of any comic book is required at all. I actually have the story all typed up, but I'm working on a couple of more things before posting it.
So this thread is going to be if anybody is interested or has any questions, or already has an idea of a character and wants to put it out there.

So here we go: During WWII, there was one superhero who was a soldier given powers. He was the first "superhero" and helped win the war, but disappeared near the end and was assumed dead, a la Captain America. Soon after, more people with powers or "better-than-average" people came into light. Beyonders (which means "Beyond Normal") are people born with powers, like Mutants in Marvel (X-Men) or Metahumans in DC. Of course, that means we get supervillians and superheroes. The greatest of the heroes formed a team of five called Heroic Sanction. Heroic Sanction is equivalent to the Avengers or Justice League. In order to help them out, the US government created AEGIS to give them support and cover areas they can't cover. AEGIS, in turn, founded the Justice Allies, heroes that are directly under the government and not a part of the Sanction (the Sanction has refused new members since they became a team).
The Allies are the main characters of the team while the Sanction is more...on a grand scale and won't make very frequent appearances. The bad guys have created a secret society called the Rogues to help each other out against heroes.
The five members of the Heroic Sanction are already decided on and controlled by certain members, which leaves open spots for the Allies and the Rogues.

Awesome! I love having interests right off the bat. If you need help creating an Ally, here's my OC. I didn't mention earlier, but Marcus Steel is the employer of the Justice Allies and a higher-up in AEGIS.

Biography and Personality: "Jackie" was born a Beyonder of mixed heritage. His mother was a Caucasion Olympic gymnast while his father was a Hispanic boxer. As a child, Jackie became interested in parkour, the art of city-running and efficient escaping. Jackie realized that his running, jumping, and overall agility skills were almost perfect, making him the perfect freerunner. His mother died while he was in high school in a car accident and his father gave in to cancer during Jack's first year of college. Jack never wanted to be a superhero and spent his days practicing his parkour, eventually dropping out of college. As he perfected his abilities in secret, he was approached by Marcus Steel to be a founding member of the Allies as his less-than-fascinating abilities made him the perfect everyman. While he refused at first, Jack was inspired after he stopped a mugging that almost resulted in the death of a couple. He joined the AEGIS program and was given the codename "Runner."
He is extremely laidback and sarcastic, taking things in stride and always giving his two-cents, even if nobody wants it. He considers himself a realist and so, despite being part of a new superhero team, will stray from challenges that he can't realistically overcome.
Powers and Equipment: Runner's ability be described as superhuman agility, but he prefers to call it "Perfect Jumping and Extreme Running." His coordination and leaping ability are perfected to the point of human peak. A side-effect of this is superhuman reflexes, allowing Runner to react instantly and quickly, almost without realizing it.
-"Frisbees" - Yellow discs made by AEGIS to give Runner an offensive capability. These discs are attached to his sleeves and can be thrown with near-perfect aim, thanks to his coordination. The frisbees are able to explode through remote detonation. The detonator is the golden band that Runner has around his head. It sends a telepathic signal for the frisbees to explode as soon as Runner wills it.

I just got an idea for an android character but was also wondering if anyone here would have their character to be their creator or something like that.

 

Arch's character, Marcus Steel could be an option, but... that's down to him.
Throwing that out there though. He IS a genius billionaire extraordinaire.

 

I'll need a little more commitment than that :/ The thread will have the "Advanced" prefix, so serious RPers only.
By "serious," I don't care if your posts are long as long as they're good (good = grammatically correct and following the rest of the story) and you're actually posting frequently, within reason.

To go along with what Bushy said, Machina said his character, Marcus Steel, can definitely do this for reasons he and I discussed. He'll share those reasons with you if you want to go ahead and message him~

Also, I have a question...how many characters are we aloud to have? Because, I was thinking of having 3 characters...
1: The Hero
2: The Villain
3: The guy who kills both... because it's not about the money... it's about sending a message. Everything burns.

 

3's fine. I'm not going to have a limit since I have a habit of having a lot of characters in my RPs, to help the plot (for this one, I have...6 lol). So you're good.
