-THE SMASH BROS STADIUM-

Two fighters shake hands and the crowd roars. Just now, Mario and Kirby fought for the title of champion. The brawl ended in a draw, but nobody was complaining. As the two heroes waved to the crowd, Mario sensed a powerful darkness coming their way...

...then, almost as if on-cue, the sky turned blood red and the Halbred appeared. It released a strange dark substance, which formed strange creatures when it hit the ground. Mario and Kirby were soon outnumbered. However, Peach and Zelda quickly came to their aid. Mario got ready to lead his friends into battle...
