So it's possible to have a clone battle then.

Well, I wouldn't be 100% sure on that. There was some aspect of 'roulette' in 64 and Melee classic, but I believe the character you were using was omitted from the lottery of chars that were randomly chosen for some of the stages.

EDIT: Actually, I have no idea anymore. lmao, it's been too long.

They should do something like that in Brawl, but not omit them completely. Maybe like only a 20% of fighting a clone? Because if I am Link, it'd be awesome to fight Dark Link, Bower--Gold Bowser, etc.

Bawww, The Summit. I couldn't care less about anything that has to do with Ice Climbers.

    The Summit

The summit? The summit of what? If you must know, I suppose it’s the summit of Icicle Mountain. And I guess there are vegetables there after all.

In other words, it’s an Ice Climber stage.

At first glance, it appears to be a normal glacial peak. But after you fight for a while...

    A pop! A crack! It’s breaking?!

    Th-the terrain is sliding downhill!

It’s finally arrived at the sea. And with a splash, too!

Hmm. Talk about hectic. And rumor has it, you can’t get careless once you’ve reached the sea.

The polar bear is pushing the iceberg deeper!

A fish leaps out of the water!

I feel like I’ve seen that fish before somewhere... Where could it have been?

    -----------------------------------------------------------
It's nice to see they're doing alot for all the stages instead just a few. I think I saw that demon fish in ballon fight too <_>. I hope I can still desync with the ice climbers in Brawl too.

In the language of Tourneyfag: BANNED.

Haha, it's a marvelous stage, however.

If they keep the exoskeleton of the IC's movesets (at least for the most part), I don't see how desyncing could be removed unless they purposely wanted to. Desyncing wouldn't be affected by the new airdodge physics since it only required the side/step dodge--which is still in Brawl. But because of the new speed and attack delays, naturally desyncing will probably need to be relearned in terms of timing and application.

Personally, I hope the buff on DI frames makes it harder (perhaps even impossible) for IC to chaingrab + desynced upsmash.

Well I figured desync would still be in there, I just meant in relation to my skill xD. It has been quite awhile since I've played Melee. I just like using nana as a decoy/human shield while I single out other players. The only downside is that I cant get on the stage if she gets killed ._.

    At least on the vertical.

Side+B still goes a long way in terms of survival. Spam it like the widowed Inuit you are. XD

Seems like an interesting stage. it's nice to see that stages are more varied and more stuff happens in them, instead of a plain stage (though the downside to it is that alot of the stages will be banned for tournaments. XD

    Meta Knight: Final Smash

    <Galaxia Darkness>

Heh heh heh. I got it.

Meta Knight has gotten the Smash Ball. Behold!

    Take this!

    ...

He swirls his cape out in a wide sweep, but if he swings and misses, nothing happens. It’s a waste of the Smash Ball. Be sure to hit with that swing of the cape.

    This time, behold!

The field is gradually engulfed in darkness.

    Toh!

The field is swallowed by darkness, and Meta Knight slices strongly through it. Enemies get launched helplessly. Talk about cool.

But there is even more coolness to this move.

If there are others besides the enemy you hit with the cape...

They get cut in the darkness, too!

So, while this move’s initial attack range is relatively narrow, if you hit with it, most everyone suffers. Aim well and sally forth.

    ------------------------------------------------------
Well it's not exactly anything new, but it's nice to put a name to a move. Although the hit and miss part sucks, if you do hit, it does quite a bit. Not only does the person suffer, but so does everyone else. It's pretty simple but it works.

I wonder what Ike's Final Smash will look like.

Yeah it does seem good. The Hit and Miss aspect makes it more balanced.

it would seem a little useless if it was one of those Final Smashes as soon as the smash ball releases it's mmm... smashy goodness, but it'd also seem a little cheap being one that you activate later.

    that is an awesome name

Well, Metaknight's 'hit or miss' can be controlled. It's not like you unleash the Final Smash and "hope for the best", you need to be within a certain range in order to land it. Thus, the chance of landing it is solely dependent on when and where you activate it.

This Final Smash, along with many others like Ike's and Link's (although not so much as Link's has phenomenal horizontal range) are usually performed out of a combo in order to ensure a 100% hit rate. But that's naturally the case for Final Smashes that are initially intended to hit only one target; in other words, you have to plan and be precise when using them.

Youtube it. Since E for All, it's been well-known what Ike's Final Smash looks like.

All Final Smashes are activated voluntarily. There is a time limit to activate it, though. I believe the window of opportunity is about 30 secs (I'd have to look at some vids again).
