I'm really liking the changes made so far, like improving Zero Suit Samus (her aerial recovery before felt more luck based than actual skill) and Yoshi, giving Kirby's side-Special a charge and movement, seemingly making Charizard his own character (complete with a Mega form,) Final Destination getting multiple versions, and the different online modes. And yo, Greninja. Can't wait to see even more.

 

I'm really excited to see the changed to Kirby and Zero Suit Samus, as well as Charizard + Lucario (MEGA EVOLUTIONS YESSSSS) and the new mode for 3DS. Even though I'm sad to see that you can't switch between alt characters in battle (Samus/Zero Suit, Shiek/Zelda), but I guess it's a logical step for the sake of gameplay. Still, I'm so glad that the release is right around the corner.

 

I like the new changes. im really surprise that they have updated the pokemon characters from x and y, but why greninja? I wanted zoroark in it to win it.

 

things are looking pretty good for this game! i'm disappointed by the Wii U release date though. i hope it's because they're cooking up something awesome for that version. because i do like the 3DS Smash Run exclusive part. i'm hoping they're making something just as a cool for the console version.

and Greninja is an unexpected addition to the game. it's a welcome one for me though.

 

I know this is probably a late reaction since these screenshots have been out since forever ago, but wow, I love seeing the close-up details and textures of the costumes and characters compared to SSBB, especially the change in Zero Suit Samus' costume looks amazing~

 

Of the three Pokés in the Trainer set, I'm glad Charizard is the one coming back. But I wonder how they figured to go with Greninja... Maybe a popularity poll?

 

It's weird. It must have been an X and Y popularity poll, but even then, I've heard way more people talk about other pokemon, and it seems weird to include one of the starters. Up until all the pokemon have been significant, mascots, movie things.
Greninja seems like a weird choice

 

Personally, I think Greninja is one of the most well-suited new Pokemon introduced in X/Y for the style of gameplay for Smash Bros, and Greninja's definitely the most popular of the X/Y starter final forms from what I've seen on forums and from my own friends.

Holding out hope for Infernape or Garchomp ;.;

 

I dunno... I was kinda wondering if we'd get a Mewtwo with Mega-Evo. Seems like it'd be more appropriate.

 

Sad to say, but I think Lucario is the permanent replacement for Mewtwo...or perhaps, we'll get Mewtwo as a secret unlockable...probably in my dreams ._.

 

Really they have no excuse not to make him an alternate costume. Combined with customizeable moves, it'd be close enough

 

Ehhhhh, I personally wouldn't like Mewtwo as a costume. I'd only like him as his own character. Project M shows that the two are different enough, just like how Captain Falcon and Ganondorf are different enough in feel.

 

Note that Captain Falcon and Ganondorf haven't been seen yet

 

So whats the general reaction to the Greninja announcement? 4chan is flipping out because they feel he's not a Pokémon icon. He's just a newcomer for marketing. Which I disagree because X and Y has been out for a while now. And the game serves as a major step up from past Pokémon games; transfer into 3D. Its only natural they would have a representative from such an important game from an important Nintendo franchise. And choosing one of the starters was a good choice.

 

The game itself is important, but the Pokémon is hardly an icon. Then again I thought Lucario was a marketing push and he turned out to be one of the most interesting characters. All I care about these days is how they play.

 

You are one of the people whose opinion i don't hate for Smash Bros.
