I believe that they've added megaman in this? have they released anything about the antagonist will it be another HAND based antagonist? haha

 

Single player is being severely cut this game, so it's doubtful

 

Atleast we'll get a change from the first game then. To be honest I did like SSBB's gameplay for story, but once finished it didn't really have much replay value for me so eh. It was fun though just running about the 2d screens.

 

pretty sure no story AT ALL will happen bc Sakurai is pissed at the people who post the cutscenes (they wasted time) on Youtube

 

No, in his words there's no POINT to having cutscenes because people will find them online.
Because of this, I'm going to assume the game won't have music of graphics, since these are things people can experience without the game

I think that's a typo. I believe he meant "music or graphics."

 

Personally, I loved the Subspace Emissary in Brawl. I wasn't able to connect my Wii to the internet when I first got Brawl, and none of my friends could ever come over, so single player was my best friend -- plus I'd much rather find a door and beat the character to unlock them than play 10 round single-player matches 2000 times.

It's a shame, but the cross play between 3DS and Wii U is still a nice bonus.

 

Connecting to the internet wouldn't have helped you. Brawl's multiplayer is infamously laggy

 

I've had my fair share of laggy matches, but most of the ones I was in had minor issues with it. Maybe that was just me, but I enjoyed it.

 

when online came out first match i had it lagged haven't played since. It's just like expecting cake to be good then realizing animals died for the cake (they ussually dont) its sort of a bitter/sweet feeling

Regardless, though I had fun with Subspace the first time I went through it just wasn't as much fun repeatedly continuing it. They'll probably have the Classic mode and maybe the Adventure mode from Melee.

Speaking of things added what do you guys think the final event will be this time around just by guessing with we have at this point? I think its gonna be megaman, sonic, and mario fighting you as lvl 10

 

I generally try to be as optimistic as possible about games that we still know very little about, but good god, Smash 4 must intentionally not be trying to make its fans excited. I mean, Megaman and Little Mac, two characters I've been craving to see since Melee, finally made it in, and I suppose that's pretty sweet. But there's so much awful laying on this pile of greatness that, I really don't think I can even be hyped about this game anymore. First we hear that Sakurai doesn't want to add many new characters, then they want to take out the story mode because of Sakurai's little tantrum, effectively killing any possibility of an enjoyable single player experience for me-- oh, and don't even get me started on how disgusting the 3DS version looks. How can anyone even be excited for such an abominatio-

I said nothing. Smash 4 is amazing and has no faults whatsoever. :#

i know i don't. Also yeah, it seems like they got nothing to hide and are trying to surprise us all at once but in the end we'll be bored by the content at the end more than the content in the beginning that was announced so basically we won't be happy with later results sorta like a good new bad news deal. IMO of course

 

Sakurai may have said he doesn't want to add new characters, yet...I don't see their additions slowing down so far. And losing story mode does disappoint me, but so long as the actual gameplay is sharp, fast, somewhat technical, and fun, I'll go without it just fine, since multiplayer is what I'm getting Smash Bros for.

And you can also turn off the 3DS outlines.

 

You guys think wave dashing should come back? I've been wondering what people thought of it.
